“Disappointing”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

This was totally inaccessible to the less than very fit and even then needs stamina to complete. Despite great publicity, it is really only for the very fit and able.

“Worth the walk for the brave and able”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

I got up really early in the morning (late May) to walk the Aphrodite Trail from the baths, up and around the hill and back. According the way-markers, covering about 7.5Km in all. The views were spectacular! I took lots of photos of flora and fauna (mostly flora and lizards) and landscapes.
Starting from the Baths of Aphrodite, I took the Northern (clockwise) circuit. By the time I finished, I was hot, thirty and exhausted but felt wonderful.
Things to know: 1) This is a steep, sometime (very) difficult walk - especially the mountain path down the North West side - take proper walking boots! 2) it's a long walk and you will rise (and fall) 300m: that's a lot of climbing. 3) Even though I set out at 7:30, by the time I finished the temperature was roasting - take plenty of water.

“You need to have walking shoes”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

It is very nice and a good exercise You need to have good walking shoes as the trail is a bit "rough". The views are lovely. If in the summer or late spring or even early autumn, I recommend that you go either very early in the morning or later in the afternoon.

“Great walk”
Reviewed 25 April 2014

Great walk, you will need decent at least walking shoes. We preferred the coastal walk from Aphrodites Baths which takes you along the north side of the Akamas right up to its tip. If you like your walking there are a number of other coastal walks.
Paphos harbour to just before Coral Bay part paved and in places quite rough gravel.
Paphos harbour out through Kato Paphos to a newly built Greek church out by the airport
Corealia Beach, Coral Bay to the Sea Caves again a mixture of path types with a number watering holes along the way.
South Akamas (a longer walk than the north side) and the Gorge
