The Taverna is situated at the edge of the shoreline and usually gets a little breeze from the sea, so its worth taking a wrap if the wind is blowing. You can smell the souvla cooking on the days that it is open and that is enough to force you to make a booking (no one can resist the smell of souvla!). The service is very good with friendly staff and the Cypriot night is one of the best in Cyprus. The fish are good (they have Barbouni in season) and local wine list also worth trying. I usually eat here at least once or twice per trip. Last time round the sheftalia were not great but the rest of the meal was very good. A la carte is reasonably priced by London standards but does not compare to the traditional village prices you can find 1 hour away in the mountains or away from the tourist spots - but you are paying for convenience and ambience. It is beautiful to look at and after a hard day on the beach or scuba diving makes a high quality, slightly expensive but enjoyable evening. Kali Orexi!
