“Family Fun”
Reviewed 22 November 2008

Le Meridien Limassol and Spa Resort is a wonderful property for
adults and children. Security is very good, it is set off the road and there are security guards on duty and the only way to get in and out is if they open the gates for you.

The facilities are excellent. There is a spa, and indoor pool and health club, three pools (one of which is set in an over 16's only area) and a choice of restaurants to eat at in the evening. Can highly recommend the Vieux Village which offered traditional Cypriot fare.

For families, there is a childrens section of the pool and the Penguin Club keeps the youngsters amused. For family fun there are mountain bikes, games room and bowling alley. There are watersports including a dive school, and land sports with tennis, a football pitch and table tennis amongst the activities available. Some activities do incur a local charge.

It is a great location for weddings and honeymoons. There is an on site chapel or you can get married on the beach or at one of the other locations in the hotel.

We stayed in a Royal Double Spa and Pool View Room which was very spacious. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet and a good sized bath. The balcony had a view of the pool and spa as well as the sea.

The staff made you feel very welcome.

The local bus stopped outside the hotel to get into town.

  • Liked — The facilties....you could just stay in the resort and not go out if you wanted to.
  • Disliked — The location....a bit far out of town and a 10 to 15 minute walk to other restaurants if you want a change of scene

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although the main pool wasn't heated and the adults only pool was closed for maintenance the sea water grotto was perfectly adequate. The staff were very friendly, attentive and eager to please which came across as being a genuine desire rather than being a forced attitude. Didn't think much of the beach but the hotel gardens and pool areas were typical of the Le Meridian chain so that made up for it. Stayed on a half board basis and I guess because it was off-season the main restuarant didn't do a buffet in the evening so we used the A La Carte restuarant, which was very pleasant even if the extensive wine list is rather over-priced. As others have already advised the alcohol is a bit expensive, Euro6 for a beer and Euro 19 for 2x G&T's. Free underground parking if you have a car though.
Be warned, there are lots of cats around the gardens..fine if you are a cat person.
The only reason I didn't rate them as excellent was the fact there is no iron in the room and you had to call house-keeping for ice, which came very quickly.

Well i work within the industry and this is one of the hotel's that we feature, I decided to visit with my partner based on all the good feeback from clients!

Bad journey out with BD dont think i would fly with them again out of choice, but after a very very fast taxi arriving at the hotel about an hour afetr departure, 1st impression was very good

Stayed in a Royal Spa room on the 3rd floor, which was fantastic!, bed was so comfy, bathroom was lovley with a ncie bath that you can look out onto the sea...

The Resort is really nice spread over a large amount of land, yet you will never find the hotel busy, was never a problem finding a sun bed or a quiet area.

We were on a HB special- which meant you could eat at the Le Fleuri, First night was a little confusing arrived for dinner about 10 at night, it is a buffet but you not sure how it works to begin with, plus it was fish night, but was okay in the end.... for the buffet
there were theme night options lovely choice of starters, main and brilliant puddings!

Pools were good, went in novemer so the quiet zone pool was freezing, ended up spending the rest of the week by the sea which was really nice water was still warmish too!

Staff really friendly, waiters at the fleuri remember u and ur room numebr and what we wanted to drink, Thanks again to Stephanie who was brilliant and the tour was great and lunch! ive not stopped talking about it since i have been back!!

overall i would recomend this hotel to familys esp because of their facilities and also couples!! Brilliant and am def returning!

A global hotel chains are always similar and standard, but not Le Méridien in Limassol. There's some special thrill, the zestful hotel. You could feel like you’re at home. It is situated in a quite location with nice garden and evergreen landscapes.
This hotel has a warm atmosphere, large lobby area, luxury SPA, seawater pools, wealth of dining, children’s and sports facilities, warm comfortable interiors and equipped with all the amenities... distinctive charm, understated elegance, service attentive to the tiniest details and excellent food. Is was enjoyable entertainment in the stylish piano bar.

We had hot sunshine almost all the time. The sea was mostly calm and the water was so beautifully clear and blue, therefore the view over the sea was attractive.
By the time we had to go home we were greatly refreshed. This is oasis of relaxation and pleasure for couples and families. We had lovely time indeed.

We stayed at le meridian 3 years ago and it was absolutely wonderful.
So this time we returned same week in October but 3 years later with the whole family 6 adults 2 children.
perhaps in our minds we had built the previous visit up but we where very disappointed this time.
No entertainment at all for 3 of the 7 nights and daytime activies where very limited.
The childrens resturant Mickys was closed for 4 of the 7 days as was the childrens club.
The buffet really wasn't as good as before but I think that this may of been due to the fact that the hotel was offering a free upgrade to half board and because we where there wednesday to wednesday and they altered the rota on the Sunday we ended up with the same buffet served twice :seafood night twice, middle estern night twice, international twice which was alittle disappointing.
Even so the buffet is above average.
Everything cost an arm and a leg and yes thats the price for staying in a very good 5 star but £5.00 for a cup of coffee around the pool is o.t.t..
Staff are very polite and very helpful and the whole place is spotless.
If you choose this hotel you must bear in mind that you are stuck pretty much in the middle of nowhere so you are limited to the hotel or you must hire a car or take taxis.
A taxi to limassol and back was 40 euro's.
If you want to take a few of the arranged trips we can recommend the catamaran day trip and the jeep safari......... if you want to do something different try the Donkey riding, Oh my god!! you have to be up for a laugh and be warned this is not a luxury trip but extremely good fun and kids will love it.
we also spent a day at the fasori water park a very good day which flew by, you can catch the bus from just outside the hotel if you ask the hotel they will give you all the details.
But the total highlight of the whole trip and what completely made the holiday was the Circus we went to see, i could rave about it for hours but if you get chance to go and see the bulgarian circus which is there quite often in limassol, please do, our youngest (7)son and grandson(4) sat perfectly still and quite for 3 hours totally unheard of without a gag and being tied to the chair. not to mention the adults who literally couldn't believe what we where seeing. Amazing.
I am not sure if I would return to Le meridien again for what it was it was very very expensive, last time we felt we could of just stayed the whole week at the hotel and not been bored, this time very different.
Just one more thing, this hotel is a family based 5* hotel if you do not like children being children in the resturant and around the hotel and pool then definately go somewhere else.

I’ve been to a lot of places on this planet, but Le Meridien Limassol Spa&Resort is one of the best that I’ve seen in my life..
I can say it’s perfect:
• The service is excellent: people working in Le Meridien are friendly and helpful. All the time they’re doing their best to make clients’ holidays relaxing and enjoyable
• The restaurants: I’ve been to several restaurants (all except Balthazar) and I can say that I went back home one-size plus – because the food was so delicious and mouthwatering that I couldn’t stay calm :-)
• The accommodation: VIP-officer Anastasia showed me mostly all kinds of accommodation. The rooms are very stylish, designed with good taste. I like the most Spa-wing: Royal rooms (where I lived) as well as Cabanas and Suite there. The decoration is really good and fascinating.
• Le Spa – I went to several treatments. The spa-therapists do their best to make the treatment enjoyable. I also liked the style of treatments’ rooms – it helps to make more relaxing atmosphere during the treatment.

And for sure I fall in love with sea-water swimming pool :-)

If you want to see paradise - you should go there!
