My wife and l stayed here for 4 weeks from 1st January 2014. We requested a poolside apartment as we had read reviews on trip advisor but on arrival we were put into one on the noisy roadside. It took a look of persuading from the rep to get us moved. The apartments are lovely and spacious however the standard of cleanliness is extremely poor and the towel/linen change only occurred when we requested it instead of 3 times a week as per the room manual.
The catering was terrible and the cook was the odd job man. It became obvious there was no chef employed and this was reflected in the frequency of fried food served up in the evening. After the second week of no fresh vegetables my husband and l rebelled and insisted on something homemade/Greek as we were in Cyprus! This resulted in an improvement but there was never a choice of dishes in the evening. It was always soup, one main course and a piece of cake or tinned peaches for pudding. Disgraceful.
To call breakfast basic would be to pay it a compliment. It is billed as a buffet breakfast but is in fact rationed as nothing was ever replaced without the guests having to ask for it at reception.
The hotel gives the impression of a business running down and living hand to mouth which is a shame as with proper investment the Jasmine could be returned to a proper holiday venue.

Room Tip: Pre book a poolside room or you will be facing the busy noisy road and the staff will be reluctant to move you once you are booked in.

We stayed here in early January and despite the hotel being almost empty we were given a room on the ground floor at the front of the hotel backing onto a very busy road, it was very noisy day and night due to the traffic and didn't feel very secure. Our room was in very poor condition, there was a hole in the wall behind the door. The sink was cracked and blocked and the shower water temperature varied dramatically between scalding hot and freezing cold. The room had a door which we can assume could be opened for the other side. The bed sheets were inadequate, and slipped nightly to expose the bare matress. The beds only had one limp pillow provided each. Our towels were not changed for the whole duration of our stay. The staff were miserable and not at all welcoming, on our last day the man on reception sent our pick up transfer away, claiming no one with our name was staying at the hotel. Being self catering was taken to the extreme, no tea towel, plugs for sinks, cloths, toiletries, or washing up liquid was provided, literally nothing! As far as location goes, it is miles away from most tourist amenities! such as the harbour, ports or even the mall. The 'beach' closeby is more like a road running alongside the sea. This wasn't the cheapest hotel offered for our holiday, and I expected better, it would definitely be worth paying a little more to stay somewhere else

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel!

Bed bugs in both rooms I stayed in. Pest control was called on the second week of are stay despite us complaining the first week nothing was done holiday was spoilt due to hotel. Constantly bitten during the nite with all doors and windows closed. All our clothes had to be sprayed and washed over 70 most of my clothes are ruined. Was told to go to pharmacy by staff. You had to constantly ask for your beds sheets to be changed. Was also told to go else where if we wasn't happy. Not a good place to stay. The only good thing about this hotel is it has nice swimming pool. Nothing else.

No self-catering equipment apart from 2 hot plates.
Room backed onto busy road with boy racers going up & down half the day & night.
Bins were not emptied for 3 days. Found cock roache on floor.
Towels were not changed for 11 nights of stay.
Floor was not cleaned for 9 nights of stay.
Balcony table held together with duct tape.
Manager shouting and pushing member of staff around in Reception area. Very intimidating and unprofessional.

We stayed for 3 nights. It was reasonable and spacious. It is on the tourist area and not far from the beach. We didn't use the swimming pool, but it looked ok. The only problem was the internet. No internet access unless you are sitting in the lobby.
