just come back from 4 nights, in this lovely hotel. we were 2 adults 2 kids (6 and 9) and baby.
reading all the reviews, my expectation was set high and all were met.

the hotel is very clean, pool is great, food is great, warm hospitality of every staff member that I met, one example, in one of the dinners, my son was very selective with food so the head chef suggest to make him chicken nuggets although it was not in the menu.

some suggestions:

there are some slope that allow you to get down from the hotel to the beach without any stairs, this was helpful for us as we were with baby stroller, some of the slope are too steep, I would recommend adding some anti-slip rubber.

the pool bar is nice we eat there lunch each day. 2 comments I have :
1. the price for the water was ,to my opinion, too high (3.25 Euro for a 1 liter local mineral water)
2. the sitting place with the sofa in-front of the bar is very nice and welcoming, yet it was hot there... a few fans will definitely improve the experience

overall we enjoyed very much and will gladly come back again!

We stayed for 10 days with our 2 kids and had a wonderful time. The swimmingpool, beach, restaurants and kids club made our stay a very relaxing one. Veronica at the kids club was great!

We will definately come back! :-)

My family and I stayed at This Hotel for 10 days in adjoining sea-view rooms this Aug '14. We all loved the place and have already talked of going back. It's located in the Amathounta area of Limassol, what was once classed as the outskirts of the town. It still has that slight feel about it, you have to go a couple of miles west along the main stretch of beach road to hit the hustle and bustle.
We were warmly greeted and welcomed by the reception staff, a knowledgable and very helpful bunch who were able to answer all manner of questions.
The rooms were spacious, clean and well-appointed, very comfortable with lovely modern bathrooms. The sea-view was fantastic, we felt so lucky to have it. The beach was a boon, clean water, plenty of beds starting at the grassy area of the grounds a few steps away from the pool area, leading all the way down to the hot sand. But the pool area was just lovely for us as a family with the kiddie pool and two other main pools that served us well; we spent most of our time there, enjoying the swim-up bar, the freshly made milk-shakes and frappés and the yummy mövenpik ice-creams.
The whole hotel felt spacious, the lobby area where everybody gathers for free internet access had various comfy sofa's dotted around and didn't feel too public somehow. We ate a couple of times at the Clouds Restaurant that is essentially in the lobby area but, again it didn't feel too public and the food was great.
We were at the hotel on a half-board basis which worked out perfectly for us as we were able to chose to have either lunch or dinner as well as our breakfast. About the breakfast, well it's possible to eat something different every day for at least two weeks I think. The choice and variety was huge and everything was delicious. With five of us, three kids ages, 6, 12 and 15 it's a hard task to make sure everyone is happy with their food but I'd say that the breakfast and all buffets and food throughout the hotel was of very good quality. There was a huge variety of lovingly prepared dishes on offer. Everything was always well presented, plentiful, fresh and delicious.
On our first night, we all dined in the Bacco restaurant which is á la carte. It was our wedding anniversary so a special occasion, we'd booked the table easily on-line from the UK on the hotel's own website. We were greeted warmly and wished a happy anniversary. The food was exquisite. It was beautifully presented, delicious and fresh. The service was wonderful we were treated to two complimentary glasses of very chilled Prosecco as well as a stunning chocolate praline torte, we felt like we'd arrived! The holiday continued as it had started, with great service, staff going that extra mile and all of us made to feel like we were special guests. On our last night, we tried the sushi. Again, a total treat. Stunningly presented and utterly delicious, we enjoyed every last mouthful.
We enjoyed the essential and fantastic Greek night one evening, as well as a brilliant magic show which enthralled all age groups. We were all up so close and still couldn't figure out how he did it! There was live music pretty much every night and our six-year-old had a boogie at the kids disco one night. On the point of kids, there's much going on for teenagers but we thought this was in our favour in the end. We'd wanted a family holiday and we really spent quality time together, it was different for another couple staying there with their one child however, so that's something to bear in mind if you're looking for full-on entertainment for the kids.
In addition to all of the above, we used the gym, I took a beach front yoga class, I had a pedicure in the spa, and our youngest tried the Kids Club for a few days. Everything was great, the gym equipment is basic and a bit cranky in comparison to the modern feel of everywhere else in the hotel but we had no problem getting a full workout there. The yoga class was free and a great experience for me as a yoga fan, to be able to take a class with the sea in front of me. The spa is very nice and the girls working there were friendly and experienced. Our six-year old was so grateful for the Kids Club, run by the delightful, multi-lingual Veronika. Getting out of the hot sun became a priority for our youngest once she'd discovered that was possible.
The most important factor for us was the way the staff made us feel. ALL the staff throughout the hotel worked hard at making guests feel welcome and this helped us all to start relaxing straightaway; when you wait some years to get it together for just a few days holiday, this becomes a really important factor.
I'll mention the Operations Manager Loizos Telemachus who was ever-present and always willing to kindly assist, thank you. A few others include Suzanne and Svetlana in Clouds (Elizabeth still wants to be a waitress!) Andreas in the Nautica Restaurant and if I'd made notes of other peoples names I'd have a list as long as my arm. Everyone was friendly, polite and exceptionally dedicated to their task and did a great job of it. Cyprus has had a tough time of it since the financial crisis hit a couple of years ago but if everyone has the attitude that the staff at the Mediterranean Beach Hotel do, the little sunshine island will be back on it's feet gain in no time. We highly recommend this hotel for a great holiday experience.

Room Tip: Sea-view room worth the extra as the in-land rooms would face the road.

We just arrived back from 12 days at the Mediterranean hotel. Family of 4, 2 small kids age 4 and 5.
I thought i would mark the place out of 10.
Overall 9
Staff 10. So so friendly, all the time, always smiling always happy to help. This for every category, the chefs, bar staff, waiters, receptionists. Just brilliant.
Rooms 9, quite spacious, modern decor, only issue was no WIFI in rooms.
Cleanliness 9. Rooms, restaurants, everywhere spotlessly clean.
Food 9, buffet and al a carte offered. The buffet was great, good variety, well cooked, varied menu from round the world. The lunch and evening meal restaurants were presented very well, good layout of table etc.
Pools 8, good, some parts shaded for the kids, plenty of beds, perhaps they could do with a tidy of the tiling in some areas of the pools.
Beach 7, dark sand so for me, not so great, but thats not the hotels fault. Beach clean, water clean too.
Kids club 8. Very nice position in the hotel, great kids animator, who spoke 7 languages. She managed kids of all ages really very well.
One thing that really stands out for me was the fact that breakfast, lunch and evening meal are all at different restaurants, meaning you don't get bored of the place, and they can be cleaned thoroughly each day.

Would recommend it to anyone.

My husband & me visited Cyprus in November 2013. We stayed at the hotel for 10 days. The hotel staff were extremely friendly. All places in the hotel & rooms were very clean.

The breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice.

The beach next to the hotel was an amazing place. You can relax there if you are not planning to go out on any particular day.

There are lots of restuarants close to hotel, if you choose to have dinner out.

The bus stop is just a 2-min walk from the hotel. You can use the city bus to go to the market place, shopping, limassol castle, & number of restuarants. The amathus ruins is walking distance from the hotel.

On the whole, it was a wonderful experience. We would definitely recommend this hotel for holidays.
