Just returned from Navarria Hotel. This was my first visit to Cyprus. I found Cyprus to be a little disappointing, dirty, tired and not particularly picturesque. I do however come from Dorset in the Uk so it is a little difficult to compete!
The room was tired but clean. Sea view lovely. Bed not comfy. The lifts eat you if you are not quick! The pool area was lovely but even though was cleaned regularly, it needed a good scrub round the sides to get the black scum off! Sunbeds uncomfy and some were broken with sharp edges of metal, as were some tressle tables in the dining area. The inside of the reception area needs updating and could be utilised much better with entertainment, dancing etc. No facilities for kids as far as play area or food choice. For adults the food was generally fairly good with a wide choice so you could usually find something to satisfy. They only seem to own one music tape so if you like Leona Lewis you will adore it!! The evening entertainment was something else though not for the right reasons! It was old, tired and a little embarrassing. How long does it take to balance 6 glasses on your head while moving slowly like a demented russian? The music is courtesy of an old organ that you would expect at an old biddies afternoon tea dance. Come on everyone, liven it up a bit! I have seen more life at a WAKE!!!
However, saying all the above, the stay was not all bad, the weather was exceptionally good, did not see one cloud in 10 days, the stay was overall average. You could do worse! I would consider going again if the above was sorted as location was good near beach and restaurants and fairly quiet. Last down point however, if you check out at midday but don't fly until late evening, you will have to eat your dinner quick as they will swipe it away saying you are not entitled to a meal as you have checked out!!! Somewhat bad p.r. and not conducive to your last impressions willing you to return. Given the amount of food that is thrown away every night what harm would it do to give another meal that costs nothing. Especially as we have sat in the bar drinking every night and eating and drinking by the pool every day! Come on! PRIORITIES!!!

I stayed 3 days in Navarria and found ut very good in its category.
Good points
- very good located!!!!, not on the road but in distance from it, so not very noisy and u dont have to look at a busy road from the bacony, better to book a room with a sea view , from last 2 floors u can really see sea eventhough there are some buildings in front of the hotel. if u dont book sea view , your baclony will face not busy road, very small, and not very nice land with some private houses. but even that is much better than to look at a busy road and not to sleep at night! by the way there are many hotels located just on the road, can u imagine the noise!!!

- the hotel is very clean and that is very important! may be the furnuture is not new but who cares.....it also doesnt look terribly old! there ia a safe box in a room and its price 2 euros a day. there is a tv set also. NO ants or something like that!!!!

- good staff with a russian speaking lady Maria, also other managers speak good english, everyone is very nice and friendly

- a nice lobby with a bar and there is internet also

- just cross a road and u will see a long sandy beach, not overcrowded and with promenade along the sea, very nice for walking in the evening!

Breakfast - hm....its not something brilliant, but its a 3 stars hotel! Not 5 or even 4! there is always something to eat and its tasty. specailly yogurt!!
there are some nice green trees around and a swimming pool.

the bus stop is 2 minutes from the hotel

i didnt find any bad points,,,,
i was satisfied and sure can advise it to anyone, who is looking for not very expensive hotel. in that region may be its the best 3 stars hotel or at least one of the best

First the good points - the hotel was very clean and the swimming pool was well maintained.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful and a problem with our room was fixed quickly.
Air con in the room was good once they switched it on but that took several days of complaints from many people to achieve.
Our room overlooked the pool area and was a bit dated but clean and spacious with a nice balcony.
Breakfast was very good.

Now the bad points - don't bother booking half board if you're vegetarian, they rarely have anything veggie to eat on the dinner buffet except salad & I had a very firm refusal when I requested a veggie option.
If there's a wedding on in the hotel (often happens) the guests are discouraged from using the pool area as they take away all the loungers. The outside terraces and bar area is also full of wedding guests.

Lastly a small point which is in no way the hotel's fault but the road between the hotel and the beach is used nightly by 'boy-racers' and tends to be noisy up to around 4am.

I would consider returning as long as I didn't have to suffer the evening meals.

We arrived to spend two nights in the Navarria at the end of a holiday to Cyprus and were quickly checked in by a very courteous receptionist. I was impressed by the ground floor public areas. The swimming pool was large and clean, the gardens well stocked and tended. I found the sun loungers a little uncomfortable, they were the steel framed, covered with plastic mesh type. The room we had was at the front of the hotel and described as a 'mountain view'. It was small, carpeted and the furnishings were a little tired, everything was very clean. The water pressure from the shower was really poor. We had one dinner in the restaurant which was OK. The breakfast was very good. I did order lunch from the main bar on our first day but it took a long time coming. When I went to find out what was keeping our food I found it sitting, getting cold at the end of the bar and the only waitress on duty very busy dealing with other customers. We had to pay for the food and drinks before it was ordered and the drinks never arrived. Clearly the hotel is very short staffed. When we went to check out there was no one on reception duty. I did speak to other guests who told me they come to the Navarria every year. I dont know why. I will not return.

We have stayed all over Cyprus, from one side to the other, but have in the last few years stayed in the wonderful and friendly Navarria Hotel in Limassol.
The new management have made many alterations making it a lot better for the customer. Excellent variety of food, a variety of social games e.g. Bingo and quizes with other good evening entertainment.
Well done to the Navarria Staff & Management. I will be returning for another long stay next year.
