Even in the heat of the midday sun this 8 km walk was a refreshing way to see the sights and get some exercise. It takes the walker all along the seafront pass the hotels and beach cafes with great sea views and also views of archeological sites. Can get crowded at 6-7 in the evening when the number of walkers and joggers increases and also one needs to keep a wary eye out for bicycles ( I am not sure but think perhaps they are not supposed to use the promenade).great views also of multi million euro seafront homes of the rich and tasteless. Well there are some well designed contemporary homes but many have been designed to appeal to the Russian oligarchs taste. Not sure if there are bathroom facilities on the way as I didn't see any however refreshment at one of the rather overpriced (cappuccino €5)beach cafes on the way gives you access to their facilities.
