This was our 3rd visit to the Atlantica Bay hotel and we can't find fault. The hotel was recently refurbished and its been done to a high standard. We were there for 11nights All Inclusive and even though we are not big eaters or drinkers we still reckon we got value for money as the prices in the Hotel and indeed the whole of Cyprus are very expensive. We hired a car from the airport, and unless you just want to lie at the swimming pool all day every day, we would say this is a must. We went out exploring the island every second day and the hotel will supply you with a packed lunch, which we certainly couldn't complain about, it was packed with goodies.
The hotel is clean, the staff are excellent and very efficient. The entertainment was no more than average but we've certainly had worse in other hotels. The food was delicious, tho by the end of the 11 days we were finding the breakfasts to be a bit tedious, nothing wrong with it but just not enough changes from day to day.
The building work going on in front of the hotel was a bit of a pain to be honest, as they started working before 7am! But having said that it didn't spoil the holiday.
As we had been here before we knew that there wasn't a lot to do nearby but with the Marina and all the other building work going on in the area I don't think it will be long before this resort starts to liven up a bit. We also noticed Limassol itself has been vastly improved, much more modern looking now.
All in all we had a great holiday and will most likely be returning again next year.

Food, service, and cleanliness all very good. Could get sunbeds around pool & at beach at most times although had to get up early to get best ones. Entertainment average consisting mainly of resident duo & thomson staff, but there were some ocassional good acts. From about the 3rd June the evening entertainment was moved from the interior theatre to a stage right outside the front of the hotel. As we had paid extra for a front seaview room we considered this wasted money, because if we did'nt fancy the entertainment or wanted an early night the noise went on until about 1145pm and we could not sleep until this was over. There was some noise at pool due to busy road below & building work around hotel. Due to pool being fairly enclosed some found it too hot around it. We preferred to go through the underpass to the hotel's beach where you coul get more of a breeze. However this was spoiled somewhat by management allowing young children on their beach area at a couples hotel!

Room Tip: Beware of the front entertainment noise in Summer

We travelled here in may 2010, on arrival we was greeted by a very smartly dressed porter who took our suitcases and offered us a very cold refreshing drink which was just what we needed. Our room was 401 on the top floor, we had sea views at one side and the pools on another. Bed was really big and comfortable and was always clean and changed through out the week, our room was kept really clean by the maids.
The lagoon pool was really cold but you got used to it after a few minutes it was quite refreshing really. We always found 2 sun loungers even when we got up late as they was plenty to go round.
The service around the pool was faultless, we sat each afternoon sipping cocktails that was included in the all inclusive ( they were lovely defo recommened mai tai and san francisco) and when we finished our drink the staff would come to you take your empty cups and get your orders for your next drink. It was great we did not even have to move.

We went down to the beach twice during our stay and it was quite nice but I prefered to stay in the hotel by the pool coz the service was just great, you dont get that service at the beach you have to go and get your own drinks.
The food was great always something for everybody. Breakfast was the best meal of the day for me full english breakfast :)
Entertainment we did not really see, but one night went to the eurovision night and we really enjoyed it the service in there was the same as round the pool.
The location I can not really comment on as we did not explore as they was not much near the hotel.
The only thing that dissapointed me was the jack hammer at 7am nearly every morning from the building work oppisite the hotel, This will probably be finished now as we went here over a year ago.
The average age group was between 45-70. We was 19 and 23 so felt a little out of place but we still had a great week and would defo recommened this hotel to everyone. Go all inclusive it was great :)
On our way to paphos airport to fly home we was told manchester airport had closed due to volcanic ash but we managed to land at gatwick and had to get taxi's to manchester airport but we was paid the money for the taxi from thomson. Great company thats why we have just booked with thomson again :)

Our stay at Atlantica Bay coincided with the hotel completing the refurbishment of the guest rooms. We stayed in a superior room and as we had been in one of these rooms before we could really see the difference. They were already good rooms but the refurbishment has given the superior rooms the Wow factor! The decor is on a par with any of the top London hotels, with a huge double bed (not singles pushed together) and new soft furnishings in muted tones. Guests receive a welcome bottle of wine and fresh fruit. There is tea/coffee making and flat screen TV. Guests are also provided with bath robes and pool towels.
The bathrooms have also had a top spec revamp and now have very nice vanity units fitted underneath the basins and there are new close-up mirrors in addition to the main mirror.
As before, the standard of cleaning in the hotel is excellent - rooms cleaned properly everyday. All areas of the hotel are kept spotlessly clean.
The real edge with this hotel is the service provided by the staff. Seldom have I seen a package holiday hotel where staff seek out guests for drinks orders and where the waiting staff know your room number after only a day or two - though that could have been down to the frequency of us ordering drinks!
We stayed all inclusive which I would recommend to anyone who is considering staying at this hotel. The food is plentliful and varied each day. Local specialities are tasty and well worth trying. All inclusive guests have the option to dine al a carte on one night during their stay and this too a lovely experience. Picnic lunches are available if you plan to be out of the hotel duing the lunch period and should the ordered a day in advance. The picnics come in cool boxes with a choice of vegetarian or local and are more than ample for two people.
The gala nights are a chance to dress up and mingle with the hotel staff over cocktails. The theme while we were there was 'Black and White Ball'.
Locally the area hasn't got much to lure you away from relaxing and being waited on. But if you are looking for a more active holiday I suggest you head for Ayia Napa!
We did have one minor problem during our stay with a massive leak in our bedroom late one night. The refurbishment in the bathrooms involving plumbing lead to a sudden gushing of very hot water which flooded the room within minutes. The staff were really good at swooshing it out for us and we moved to another room overnight. Unfortunately my husband slipped on the water and injured his head and hand. But the hotel were very good and arranged a taxi to take us to the hospital and the driver waited with us and provided translation when needed. We learned later that three rooms had leaks but the hotel did all it could to put things right.
Overall this is a great hotel with brilliant service and staff - we'll be going back!

Room Tip: Rooms 245 247 overlook the veranda and pools

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at the Atlantica Bay Hotel and I can not understand the negative comments of some people. I was in a party of four and from the moment of arrival to the time of departure we were all looked after exceptionally well.
The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. It was fully air-conditioned with a balcony to relax on.
The food was served with the option of eating inside or outside. You were shown to your table by the head waiter and your drinks order was taken almost immediately, leaving you to get on with chosing your food option which was self service. I am a fussy eater but I had no problems finding plenty to eat at every meal due to the large choice of options.
We also took up the option of a visit to the Al a Carte restaurant where you are made to feel like royalty. We also had packed lunches twice which were in a cool box filled with plenty to eat and drink.
The waiter's and waitresse's in all areas of the hotel were very efficent and friendly and ensured that as soon as your glass was empty they were on hand to replenish your drink.
We had the all inclusive package and I recommend this as the way ahead if you want to relax and enjoy your holiday as you are pampered from start to finish.
Yes there is building work around the hotel but this in no way affects any of the holiday.
The entertainment throughout was good with a few acts that were outstandingly exceptional.
Arlene the Thompson rep was very friendly and gave a thorough welcome brief to all new arrivals and was on hand throughout the holiday for advice.
For those who like to get out and about Limassol town can be reached by a path that borders the beach allowing for lovely scenery. Also there is a perfect bus service which will take you to all areas of Limassol for 2 euros return. It is simple and easy to use with a service every 15 minutes.
We are already planning our next visit.

went 25th may was dreading the weather as i booked it in jan and according to my first choice home page it rained every day, but no fear it was gorgeous weather, the hotel its self was fab if not a little to posh sometimes, make sure you take some nice evening wear which i didnt ,men are not aloud to dine of an evening without trousers and shirts. At snack times you can only eat the snacks at the designated restaurants and can not take them to your room nor can you take drinks to your room, but you can order them by room service at a charge, the superior rooms are fab super king size beds and really modern we upgraded to the honeymoon suite for a few days, and am sorry to say they have not been updated as have the superior rooms but still nice just not as modern most of the staff are lovely, pools are lovely and the pool waiters are great you dont even have to move to get a drink, there was alot of older people that stay there although it didnt bother me might not be much fun for younger ones. Day time entertainment was a bit naff card making, walks and the likes, the general area outside the hotel is not very nice and theres not much to do,nor many nice places to walk limassol towns not very nice and didnt feel to safe so didnt go there more than once if your looking for just a bit of R&R its brill fust go chill and enjoy the weather foods the norm AI except the soups and bread rolls are really good! all in all lovely hotel dont think id go back just because of the general area but nothing to do with hotel.

Room Tip: bus operates a 2 euro all day ticket

literally just landed back home in uk having left atlantica bay hotel 8 hours ago and i already miss it.

Before i went i read some reviews on here which put me off, however when i got there i was 120% impressed. Gorgeous rooms, gorgeous view, gorgeous hotel and pool and jakuzzi were FANTASTIC..

This place had a huge extra bonus.. THE STAFF, quite possibly the friendliest bunch of people ive ever met, those guys work hard for the clients and its really appreciated..by the pool they will come amd see you to top up your drink every 30 mins, same on night whilst watching the shows, same during breakfast, lunch and dinner. THANK YOU..you guys are awesome.

this place has a little draw back, location..its kind of in the muddle of no where..but based on the redevelopmemt going on in the area i dont think that will be a problem too much longer.

Little tip if you go,. Go all inclusive..unlimited food (and its gorgeous) unlimted drinks (spirits, beer cocktails, softdrinks, tea coffee) was well worth the additional cost of 26 euros per day.

Would highly.. HIGHLY recommend this.
