We arrived about midnight and was handed a glass of wine , a warm wet flannel , and a bun. Checkin was quick and cases were taken to our room. Passsports taken off you over night which is wrong in this day and age ,.We had a superior room on the top 4th floor , it overlooks the pool and has a sea view. Beach /pool towels on the bed , bathrobes / slippers, abottle of wine and bowl of fruit and a large bottle of water. It also has a safe in the room at a cost of €42 for the 2 weeks . Tea and coffee / milks sugars and a kettle , plus a coffee machine with 2 coffee pods . Large flat screen tv on wall with few english programes plus fox movies and bbc world and sky news channel . Bathroom had hairdryer, magnify mirror rain shower and a hand held shower over bath , socket for shavor, box of tissues and comp shampoos /shower gel / soap/ body moisturiser. Large shower screen . Loads of wardrobe space and cupboards . Comfy bed and loads of pillows and it also has our normal 3 pin plug sockets . Patio doors onto a small balcony with table / chairs and a hanging rail for washed clothes. Well stocked gym / and spa. 2 thomson reps on site everyday. Nice pool area with new large sunbeds , and 10 bolnese beds around main pool first come first served basis. Other pool is smaller with the roof folded back , both waiter service . Sands beach bar and tavern is across the road . There are sunbeds both on the grass and sand , but at weekends i dont think its right that locals take over the sunbeds and none left for hotel guests. I think the hotel should look into this , as the besch area is not very big as it is . Tavern snack bar VERY generous portions .
Main restaurant good variety of food and deserts , even some english favourites apple pie custard , treacle sponge custard etc, Entertainment very basic with the exception of CAZ, who was very bubbly and was an allrounder singing, dancing , pool entertaner . Free sauna visit and al la carte visit per stay. Bus trip into limmasol €1-50 or there is abeach walk way that goes all the way . Local shop on site . And a local supermarket turn left out of hotel about 200 yards with a bakery next to it as well . Plus chemist just abit further along road . All in all a very nice holiday , friendly staff , cannot fault hotel , do have fond memories . But would not go back due to the beach being not to our expectations and not being able to get a bed on there due to locals getting them first . Surely this is not right ! Free WIFI but not very good in rooms hit and miss where it will work . We booked a late check out room up to 6pm for the last day while in the UK as it is cheaper . But you can book a curtisy room for 30 mins at the hotel for free. Allinclusive guest keep there wrist band on till they leave hotel .

We stayed at this couples hotel as a young couple (21&22 years of age) from 16th-23rd July. We had a brilliant time and have many positives to write about this hotel! Upon arrival, we were created by Maria the public relations manager who was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. She was very helpful towards us and mades us feel relaxed very quickly. It was lovely knowing she was there to speak to. The restaurants are very clean and food is of a great variety at breakfast lunch and dinner no matter how much of a fussy eater you are! The staff are lovely - extremely friendly and brilliant at speaking English - you never have to go to the bar as they fetch all drinks for you! The pool was lovely, not that big but still great to have a swim in. The sunbeds are always clean and we were always able to find one in the morning. The rooms were cleaned daily by the lovely cleaners and always felt spotless. The entertainment was provided by one of the most hard working people I have ever met - Caz - she really makes this hotel I don't know how it would cope without her. She puts her heart and soul into making people's holidays the best they can be, I don't think you will ever catch her not smiling. The only downside about the entertainment is that it is very much aimed at older people. Being a couples hotel we noticed that we were one of the few couples of a younger age and therefore entertainment was very low key. Although great for older people, for this reason I would say if you are younger and In your 20's- this isn't the type of hotel entertainment wise I would recommend for you. Further to the entertainment, I was not that impressed with the resident duo- their performances for the 'night' lasted 20 minutes maximum and then they would leave- very dissapointing! A few further negatives towards the hotel are that there aren't many plug sockets in the room, you can't access wifi in certain areas of the hotel such as top floor and the pillows in the hotel are like sleeping on nappies. I would recommend changing the pillows to a more comfier variety.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel, we had a lovely time and would definitely return should the entertainment be aimed more at younger people. I understand a couples hotel may older couples, but it felt as though nothing was thrown it for any younger couples staying. I don't want to put this hotel down as if you are older then this hotel is perfect for you! We were just the wrong audience. I would give this hotel a massive thumbs up! Thanks for a great week :)

Just returned from our second visit to Hotel Atlantic Bay.

Small hotel in comparison to others, but what a fabulous stay..

The greeting you receive of a cold flannel and a glass of bubbly is the standard you get the whole holiday.

We stayed in room 101 in the executive wing - Sea view with a hot tube on a very large balcony.

Room was impeccable cleaned every day.

Pool area is large with an array of sun loungers which is very clean and well maintained ..
We had the best waiter possible 'Paul' what a genuine lovely hard working fella, we never moved for anything.. he consistently delivered fresh drinks all day, always smiling and having fun.

Food - Well what can I say, this is our second stay so we knew what to expect, this holiday we were with friends who had never visited Cyprus before, they complimented the food every single meal, they stay in some impressive places and both agreed the food at Atlantic Bay was by far the best for verity and freshness.
Al a Carte was superb..
Beach BBQ was great also with a more relaxed approach to dining especially chatting to Anthony, what a great guy..

Location - bus top outside that takes you into Limassol for €1.50 or €15.00 for a taxi.. no biggy!!

Entertainment was rubbish but we really didn't care at all..

Do not hesitate to book this hotel as you won't be disappointed.

Hello,
After reading a few negative reviews on here I was slightly concerned about what we had let ourselves in for.
They were quickly put to one side on arrival, the hospitality of staff was above par and the rooms excellent. Not out-dated, dirty or in need of maintenance as I've previously read.
The pool was very relaxing, sunbeds readily available no matter the time of day and an excellent drinks service. Special mention to Paul for the pool side service, genuinely the most friendly and helpful staff member we've met. Whatever he is being paid it should be doubled.
The Sands bar and beach area is better than i expected, it's not the best for sand but I'm not a fan anyway. A few pebbles when entering the water but after that the sea was lovely and cool.
The drinks service is also available on the beach front.
The restaurant was good with plenty on offer, not over cooked or cold. You have to wear trousers for the evening meal which meant on the last day I was refused entry just before we left. I thought this may be the case but wasn't prepared to wear trousers for the journey home because we had to check out before this time.
Entertainment was the real let down, it was all inside so didn't really sample the delights. You don't fly over 2000 mile to sit in a air conditioned room all night.
The age groups vary from I'd say young 20's up to 60's. Everyone was really friendly though.

Spent two weeks in the excellent hotel from June 30th till 13th July on a half board basis. As soon as we reached the hotel we were welcomed by the front desk staff who presented us with a cold cloth to freshen up with and a nice glass of cold bubbly, a very nice touch. Our check in was quick and effective. Our cases were delivered to our room by the porter. We stayed in room 301 which was a double with sea view. The room was very bright and clean.
All the staff in this hotel are trained to a very high standard as everyone greets you with a smile and a warm hello.
The food in this hotel is of a very high standard and you are truly spoilt for choice every breakfast and evening meal.
The hotel pools are excellent and are always clean as is the surrounding area, the planting around the main hotel is to a very good standard, and if you are felling energetic there is a well stocked gym.

This is one of the few hotels that we have stayed in the all the first line management team were always out and about the hotel and always stopped and had a word with you and also asked if you had any concerns, once again good PR.
As with every hotel there is the parts that are not so good and I would put the hotel evening entertainment into this bracket, The afternoon entertainment is is organised by the bundle of energy that is known as Caz, she is always on hand to get everything going from table tennis to water polo she even stands in for the evening entertainment.
The evening entertainment definitely needs to be looked at and I would suggest sooner rather than later. A couple of negative points for this hotel is the location. there is a bus stop opposite the hotel that will take you to Limassol town for €1.50 single and it takes about 45 mins the plus side of this journey is that it leaves right outside the largest Mall in Cyprus called quite imaginatively "My Mall" and it has a vast range of stores with something to please everyone. The other negative point is the WIFI is not available in your room and you only get a signal first thing in the morning down at the pool side or at reception. Please get your IT manager to get this sorted.
A good yardstick of any hotel/holiday is the big question "Would you return" and my answer to that is Yes, but only for a week in say October and that is only because of the location.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Front Office staff for the lovely touch of a bottle of Champagne and a bowl of fruit placed in our room on the day of our 29th Wedding anniversary and it greatly appreciated.

Room Tip: Our room was number 301 and it was on the corner and had a sea view it also had TWO balconeys which...

Thank you for your comments.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that we exceeded your expectations. We appreciate your comments regarding our staff, services, facilities and dining experiences.

We appreciate all of our guests' comments and would like to take this opportunity to add to your review. As stated in the brochures and websites, our location is further from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area in order to provide a relaxing atmosphere for our holiday makers. In keeping with the Couples relaxing concept, we offer a low key entertainment program. The program offers performances by our resident duo and a variety of local professional acts. Similarly our Pool Bar and Beach Bar are open each evening for a more laid back night.

Once again we thank you for your comments and look forward to welcoming you again in the future.

Hotel is modern and very clean. All the staff are friendly and work very hard. The waiting staff are always there to get your next drink, you don't even need to go to the bar. The food is good, plenty of choices and always hot. A minor niggle, the men have to wear long trousers to dinner, I do not have a problem with that, although, I think a pair of tailored shorts is smarter than tracksuit bottoms, but there should also be a code for women, a couple of times I saw men being refused entry but girls could come in wearing a pair of shorts no longer than a belt, not a major issue but it could be looked at.
Entertainment could also be looked at, Caz is brilliant, she interacts well with the guests, works so hard, she will be hard to replace when she moves on at the end of this season. Chistelle, on the other hand, not so good. They don't interact with the guests, or each other, he's a bit dull, she has not got the greatest voice, it just does not work. They had some acts from outside, but their sets were far too short. On the Wednesday, when Caz had her day off, we just had Christelle, and they only did an hour and 10 mins and that was supposed to be the entertainment for the night!
The beach is just across the road, and the hotel has a bar there as well, so your all inclusive is good. One free visit to the al-a-carte is included and well worth it as the food was excellent.
The areas around the 2 pools is really nice, and again, very clean.
All in all a very enjoyable holiday, one of the best all inclusives we have been too, just get that entertainment looked at and it will be near perfect.

Room Tip: You can upgrade your room, gets a bigger room with a beach view.

Thank you for your comments and for taking the time to post your experience with us.

We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and your comments regarding our staff, services, facilities and dining experiences.

As a Couples hotel, the entertainment offered is geared for a low key entertainment program. This holds true for any Couples hotel worldwide. In addition to our resident duo we also offer a variety of acts during the week to cater to all tastes.

Once again we thank you for your comments and look forward to welcoming you again in the future.

Returned from this hotel on 16 July after a relaxing 2weeks stay. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff work very hard and are friendly. There are a few down sides the entertainment is held inside in a dark and depressing room and there is no where near enough waiting or bar staff working in this area, on one night we had to go to the lobby bar to get a drink and take them down to the ballroom. Caz the Thomson entertainment rep does an excellent job with very limited recourses. There is the 6am brigade who are up to bag a sun lounger.
The rooms have had a refurb but the public areas are in need of one.
The food is plentiful and very enjoyable the a la carte was so nice we paid to go for a second visit. We ate lunch at the beach snack bar but you can only eat here on the all inclusive when the restaurant is closed.
We had a superior room which had plenty of hanging and drawer space the towels were changed daily and the bed every other day. If you are in a superior room you can also have your pool towels changed and brought to your room.
Lots of guests are repeat visitors as we were.
There is nothing around the hotel but the local bus stop is just at the bottom of the drive.
We had an enjoyable stay and would return in a few years time if the price was right.
