I would agree wholeheartidly with previous review - "make your own mind up" !
Disolusioned with reading neg reviews we checked into the gardens with some trepidation but was pleasantly surprised. ok, it is accross the road from the lively main hotel but is so much the quieter for it. you can take your choice - get involved with the bingo, karaoke, outdoor movies etc; or you can withdraw to the tranquility of the gardens & try many cocktails outdoors in pleasant surroundings tendered by very helpful staff.
Food is excellent. A/I proved to be best option as only additional expense was hire car & coffee whilst out touring. Lunchtime is very flexible at 3hrs

i booked this holiday a good year before we was travelling and was always under the impresion that we was staying in the atlantica oaisis hotel as that is what i had booked, then just about 8 weeks before we was set to go i was informed by another party member that in fact we was staying in the atlantica gardens, i got onto the travel agents who after been told 3 times that i was in the main hotel confirmed that in fact i was in the gardens. I was very angry for being misled and was told that i could move into the main hotel for an extra £1000 obviously that i couldent afford, i looked at loads of reviews for the gardens and was quite worried, all i can say is dont beleive everything you read..... the gardens are litteraly across the road from the atlantica oaisis, the rooms are very spaceous and kept very clean i would advise to make sure you have a 1 bedroom appartment the studios are quite small and compact while the 1 bedrooms ar like a 2 bed massonett,2 bedrooms a big kitchen with a fridge freezer and living room with 2 sofas, the maids came in 4 times a wk and changed bedding 3 times a wk but if you needed it doing more you just have to ask and they will do it, all the staff were very nice and pleasent at both gardens and hotel , we all had a very good holiday all 18 of us which were of mixed ages starting from 1yr - 66 yrs, the surrounding area for nightlife is ok but not brill and the entertainment in the hotel is again ok but not brill, the entertainment staff work very hard and try to mix things up but basicly its the same every week but having said that we made our own fun ...food is to die for .... i put half a stone on in 2 wks ha ha there is a good varied choice for all ages even cheesy chips . i would advise to go all inclusive we did and found that we had made the right choice,we even arrived just past midnight whitch is the cut off time for all inclusive but was still allowed to get a round of drinks free .... all in all we enjoyed it , i just wish that i had read a good review like this 1 before i travelled so i diddent have to spend the run up to my holiday in dread xxxxx go have a good hoilday and make your own mind up ........

I booked this holiday for myself, my partner and our 8 month old baby through Olympic holidays and I will never make that mistake again. The Atlantica hotel is actually split into two- a lovely hotel (the atlantica oasis) and some grubby out of date apartments (atlantica gardens). They are across the road from each other and guests share the facilities. The hotel is recently refurbished and offers good facilites, modern clean decor and friendly helpful staff. The atlantic gardens is another story. The recption staff speak very poor english and come across rude and unhelpful- every question i asked them got me the answer of 'go across to the oasis'. The self catering apartment was VERY out of date (circa 1970's including the beds) the carpet was stained, the light shade was full of dead bugs, kitchen was dated and disgusting and you could only plug the kettle and toaster in on the opposite side of the apartment from the kitchen as there wasn't a plug in the kitchen??!! The whole hotel smells of smoke and is very dated and old throughout as you can see in the pictures. Thankfully after two nights in this place we transfered to the Grand Resort hotel which is gorgeous and exactly as advertised.
I would highly recommened staying at the atlantica oasis hotel, it looked clean and welcoming, the atlantica gardens was awful.

We had a great holiday here staying in the studios across the road from the Oasis hotel. We had the chance to move to the hotel but did not because the studios are absolutely fine. We had a good view of the garden and pool thanks to a very friendly staff member, Emanuel. The head receptionist was excellent, sorting out something extra for us. We would go back in an instant, it was that good. The guests were mainly Brits, friendly ones, who came back year after year. The entertainment was run by Laura and Kelly who were great – warm and friendly – and we also met Matt from the Miramar. Brilliant people. The breakfast choice and quality was amazing. The pools were lovely. Everywhere is clean.
Limassol is not good news however – run down and quiet since no one can afford the bar prices anymore. When we were there only one or two tables would be taken in the restaurants in the evening, except for the Nags head and the Shakespeare. Taxis expensive too, but it’s mainly due to the Euro rate. No beaches here.
Stacey from Thomson was an excellent rep with loads of advice. Always available and nothing too much trouble. For e.g., got the pool towels for us after the pool man had left. That is good service.
All the staff are friendly and helpful. The guests all seemed to be having a good time. We extended our stay here which tells you it was an excellent holiday.
PS We had an excellent rate which is why we say it is great value.

my partner and i went to this hotel for 2 weeks in september. i had done my research so to be honest i was not expecting fantastic accomadation! all in all i must say i was happy with our apartments-yes ok they were dated but very clean and spacious! we had booked a one beroom apartment so we ended up having two large rooms with two balconies! the maid came every morning and was very friendly and on days we didnt need the apartment cleaned she didnt undersrtand and insisted on giving us fresh towels etc! the kitchen was really small-infact wasnt really a kitchen but we didnt really feel the need to cook so did the job! free air con was brilliant as cyprus is so HOT! you just need to walk along a path and accross the road to the main hotel, there is an adult pool (no kids allowed)which was fantastic which had jacuzzi jets in the corners to chill out.then there was the big pool which was very kid orientated which various activities in the pool-one of which i enjoyed-the aqua aerobics!! on our 2nd week the adult pool was broke unfortunately as aparantly one of the kids blocked it with ice cream?? but this didnt ruin our holiday.there is another pool at the gardens but we didnt bother with it. one thing i would say is if you are self catering it is very expensive to buy drinks etc-you can have the option to upgrade to all inclusive £35pp per day i think but you had to do it four days in a row which i didnt want to tie myself to!! i thought the hotel factilies were one of the best i had been to,the apartments are a little "80's" but i still had a fantastic time! with regards to limassol in general i would not go back,it was very much like a city and you had to get the number 30 bus to go to resturants every nite. limissol is in fact a 10 mile stretch so to walk into the old town would be a bit of a hike! we got of at the last stop and found some beautiful resturants by the castle-i would try to catch the last bus home though (945-10pm) as a taxi is roughly 15 euro to get back to the gardens!we didnt bother with the beaches, they all looked very small and stoney but as the hotel facitilites were so good we didnt mind as much!hope this helps!!

Had read previous reviews and was alittle apprehensive about what to expect. However, had nothing to worry about! Hotel was extremely clean both inside and out. Rooms cleaned on a daily basis but very polite and friendly staff. Pools were very clean and access to sunbeds was not a problem!
This was my first time in Cyprus and would consider staying at this hotel again

We vistied cyprus for a week long vacation and since my husband especially, wanted a relaxing time rather than running around for sight seeing etc., we found cyprus to be the ideal location.

Since we are mostly vegetarians, we knew it would be difficult for us to find vegetarian food to our taste and so we opted for the Atlantica Gardens Apartments, on a "self catering" basis. That way we were free to cook our own meals. The apartment was well furnished and the kitchen had all the necessary things needed.

For our indian friends, who read this review, I would like to add that if you plan on a self catering apartment stay, do carry a Pressure Cooker with you - it would be very helpful - i really missed that as cooking of our food was a little tough without that wonderful gadget.

The cleaning service at the apartment was good.

We preferred to stay at one location and do up and down trips to the other surrounding areas - of Troodos, paphos and larnaca. That way there was no hassle of packing and unpacking every other day and distances in cyprus are not very large - mostly all areas can be covered in day trips.

All in all, it was a great trip.

Thanks to Trip Advisor, we could get a lot of useful tips from their newsletters received on cyprus.
