Mikhmoret beach boasts warm, clear water and golden sands! It's popular with the locals who pitch tents and party to the small hours of the morning. Unfortunately as a result there's often considerable amounts of plastic pollution: cups, bags, etc. washing up onto its shores. IMO it's a small price to pay to enjoy what o/w are beautiful sunsets, wonderful surf and an almost 100% guarantee of sunshine. There's a 24/7 bar on the beach that serves fantastic Moroccan fish. The far end of the beach is popular with local bohemian types and nude bathing: it's a sight to behold naked Jesus Christ looking men emerging from the sea in the morning! It's definitely a beach experience not to be missed. It's not hard to relax and unwind in this very quiet, homely and friendly town. It best suits the young, budget traveller or couple.
