A museum that was once somebody's house. With furniture and even clothes in situ. Off in a quiet corner. Worth a look.

If possible go with a guide or someone who knows the local history of the Dragoman. A wonderful insight into a bygone age when the country was under Turkish control and how the local Aristocrats lived.

A restored house and each room is a reconstruction of how the house would have looked during the 19th century. It's very interesting.

The two storey building was built in the 19th century and was home to Dervis Pasha, the publisher of Zaman newspaper, the first Turkish Newspaper in Cyprus. Although the mansion's exact construction date is not known, but on the keystone above the main entrance door is inscribed, as building date, the year 1216H (H means the Muslim calendar and date is equivalent to 1801 - 1802) on the ornamental ceiling of the principal chamber, which is clearly an addition to the original house, we find date 1869. Now an Ethnographic Museum, the mansion is located in the Arabahmet Quarter, was built as an 'L' shape with the downstairs made of stone and the upstairs from mud brick.
There are examples of historic Cypriot life and worthy of a look around.

It is not by the Main Street, so it was a nice place to wander around. There are some nice exhibits of what a typical house would look like. There was no one there when I went, so I just wandered around by myself.
