I have tried to eat at Patio since it opened a few months ago but unless you book it is likely you will not find a table. Last Thurdsay we were lucky and found a small table.
During the summer months the main sitting area is outside with a few tables inside. The outside is cleverly designed with modern materials, contrasted up against the high decorative wall with the old louvered windows- they are painted in multiple colours and lid from behind creating a breathtaking backdrop for the courtyard. The bar is on one corner with a few stools but the whole space feel casual and relaxed-good for drinsks and food.
My party opted for beers and I chose a cocktail called Olga which was rum based-it was very good. The food we had was overall very good. The patatas bravas we had, were served whole with a tomato and cream sauce on top in a pan. I wished they were a bit more spicy. We had some plantain like chips which were served with quacamole dip. This was my favourite dish-reminiscent of brazilian and south american food. We also had mushrooms stuffed with local sausage, grilled chicken tighs with a tomato dipping sauce, and a cheese platter. Sadly the food is served in elaborate and sometimes awkward ways-possibly to evoke a gourmet flair on the plates. For example the plantain chips were served in a glass, the salads have a flute glass with the dressing resting amongst the greens, the grapes of the cheese platter were in a sardines can, the jam was closed in a small jar etc. I did not find the food to be gourmet and hence I find this attempt in the food, pointless and unneccesary. I wish food is served in a more humble manner, aligned with the casual feel of the place.
Paid €17 per person inclusive of drinks but I presume if we were hungry for a full meal we might have paid between €25-30. I must admit that I will visit the place again mainly because of it ourdoor's ambience and lively character and secondary for the food.
