This is my 4th stay at Panklitos apartments and I wouldn’t keep going back if it wasn’t good. The apartments have everything you need whether you want to self cater or not and they are kept very clean.

The staff is excellent, in fact I can't praise them enough. The manageress Soulla was so helpful and accommodating, anything you needed she would help.

We loved the location of Panklitos , which is actually a series of apartments in two blocks. It's right on a quiet location but is only 35-40 min walk to Paphos harbour and just 10-15 min walk to “Tomb of the Kings”. The beach is just down the road but we preferred Coral bay which is a 20 min bus ride away, the Municipal market is just 10-15 min walk away. We had a one-bedroom apartment which was big and spacious; bedding was changed once a week. The apartment was simply decorated but comfortable with a fairly well equipped kitchen. You could rustle up simple meals although there are so many restaurants within walking distance that we never bothered.

I would definitely recommend Panklitos Apartments to anyone who wants a quiet base to explore Paphos from or who enjoys time on a quiet location. If you want a good holiday at a reasonable price try them.

We have just returned from a very relaxing, enjoyable holiday in these apartments.

We booked 3 days before departure on the Olympic website and got the whole package for less than £600 for 2 adults and 2 children, which I thought was superb. Having read the reviews on the Panklitos, I knew what to expect. This is good, no frills 2 star accommodation in a great location with the added advantage of being nice and quiet.

The self catering apartments have everything you need including a 4 burner gas hob and oven, plenty of utensils and crockery (albeit not all of it matching, but so what!?), toaster, kettle and fridge with ice-box. There are 2 single beds in the bedroom with plenty wardrobe space but this is the only room where air-con is available (6 euros per day, 40 euros for week). The lounge is comfortable and has a single bed and the sofa converts into another single bed, which is not too comfy. Sheets, pillows and towels are provided and changed once a week. We had a room overlooking the pool area which is small but very nice with lots of greenery and nice shaded areas when it gets too hot. The pool is rectangular and gets very deep, very quickly (1 metre shallow end right up to 3 metres at the deep end) so be careful if you have small children or non-swimmers as there is no life guard. The pool area gets the sun right up to 7 or 8 at nights. Some of the loungers are a bit past it and a few more umbrellas wouldn't go amiss. Wildlife includes various ants, cicadas, dragonflies and various sizes of lizards - the kids will love it!!

The bar area is small and fairly well stocked with soft and alcoholic drinks. There is a pool table and a wide screen TV. Simple bar snacks are available i.e. chips, bacon rolls, salads etc.

The lady who greeted and checked us in and is around most mornings/afternoons is very friendly and welcoming. There is a Bulgarian(?) couple who manage the complex at night and carry out maintencance, pool cleaning, bar service etc. They appear unfriendly but I think their lack of English means they come across as uncourteous and disinterested. Bear with them!!

The apartments are within walking distance of a number of restaurants (make sure you go to Karlinas at the end of the road at try their Cypriot Meze - Superb!), supermarkets, bars, etc and if you want to venture further afield, the bus costs 1 euro for those over 12 years old and goes anywhere within the Paphos area. This is handy for the market, harbour area, Aphrodite Waterpark, Bird and Animal Park and Coral Bay (an absolute must but can be quite pricy for eating, drinking, shopping and water sports etc than other areas of Paphos) which has warm, clear, shallow water and is a wonderful day out.

Most of the other guests were couples (young and old) and families. Noise at night is limited to hushed conversations from folk enjoying a late night drink outside or doors banging a few times. The temperature at night was usually quite comfortable and not as oppressive as other areas we have been in. My wife and I slept in the lounge with the window and patio door open which provided natural air-con while our 2 children had the air-conditioned bedroom. Light starts coming in through the thin curtains very early so take a sleep blindfold if you want a lie-in.

All in all we had a great time in Paphos and would recommend the Panklitos apartments to those looking for a cheap, no frills base from which to explore the Paphos area. Just make sure you get it at a good price!

Me and my girlfriend have just returned from a week stay in the Panklitos apartments and pool, and we were not dissappointed.
We booked our holiday a couple of days before we were due to go, and got a very good cheap price. Due to this we were sceptical of the quality of the accommodation, but decided to bite the bullet and give it a go. We could not have been further out about the place.
The apartments themselves are in a great location, as they are 5 mins walk from the main street of restaurants and bars, and about 10 mins walk to the nearest beach (Kefalos Beach). Also, they area ten minute walk to the market of Paphos town itself, which is well worth a visit.
There is also a mini supermarket 3 mins walk away which stocks everything you could need on a self catering holiday.
We were given a massive room, which was absolutely spotless. There was a kitchen area with everything you would need (plates, dishes, cutlery etc.) and the fridge and freezer and cooker were so clean you would have thought they were new.
There was also a lovely terrace area with a table and chairs for dining outside.
The pool area is lovely and it has a pool side bar which serves drinks and snacks all day. There are plenty of sun loungers which are totally free to rent as well as shower facilities and toilet facilities pool side.
The pool itself is a good size, and is the cleanest pool I have ever been in.
In terms of the staff, they can not do enough to help you, and are very approachable and friendly. They are always smiling and will listen to any concerns you may have,
The only one slightly negative aspect regarding these apartments is very minor and easily remedied. I would recommend you take some bug spray if staying here as the terrace areas seemed to have a lot of ants in the day. They were never a problem at night and I suppose the hotel cant really do anything about the local wildlife, however a quick spray around the terraces and balocony would sort this.

Other than that, we had an absolutely fantastic week here and would go again in a heartbeat.

Myself and my husband travel to Cyprus twice a year without fail as we have friends over there. Whilst we have the offer of staying with these friends we always chose to stay at the Panklitos apartments year after year. We find the claims that the apartments are unclean most offensive as we have always found quite the opposite. Whilst we appreciate the decor is of an old fashioned standard and could be updated, the panklitos is excellent value for money and we have always found the staff extremely friendly and accomodating. They always remember us year on year and give us a huge friendly welcome. As for the pool, we have visited many hotels in the surrounding area visiting friends and although the Panklitos is not the biggest, it is almost certainly the cleanest and well maintained. Looking forward to seeing you all at the Panklitos come May/June xx

This small, centrally situated block of apartments offers great value for money and is staffed by very helpful staff. We had a one bedroom apartment that was very spacious and serviced regularly.
The pool and surrounding areas were checked and maintained regularly by a friendly man.
Panklitos apartments are in a great location and is just five minutes from the sea, near to the main Tomb of the Kings road (restaurants / bars and is on the town bus route).
As regular visitors to Paphos, we have noticed in the recent past that many hotels and tourist establishments have been staffed by non-cypriots - it was a refreshing change to notice that many of the stuff were Cypriot.
I recommend Panklitos to every family. (2 adults & 1 teenager 16)

the panklitos is a small freindly complex which is central to all Paphos offers, 5 mins from the Market/old town, supermarket/restuarants/bars and nighlife closeby. 5 mins to bus stops/tomb of the kings which can take you down to the harbour/bar street or Coral bay for 1.5 euros. The apartments are basic well equiped for your needs, we overlooked the pool area which was kept tidy and sunbeds were always available. A lot of families were at the Panklitos and they were more than happy with the atmosphere. The owner is always available if you have any problems and she sees to all your needs immediately. We found this holiday relaxing in the day and whatever you wanted at night if you venture out. (2 adults & 2 teenagers 16/18)

I stayed with my family at Panklitos for a week's holiday. The staff was friendly and helpful, the apartments where always clean and tidy. There are lots of sunbeds all spaced out nicely so you're never crowded, although people reserve them with towels before breakfast in the morning!

The rooms were clean and tidy, although a little dated and could do with a refurb. The walk into Paphos is about 20 minutes from the apartments, but we found some nice restaurants where the food was cheap about 10 minutes walk in on the main road.

I rate them Above average for a Tourist class Apartments....
