“Some things never change in Pafos”
Reviewed 16 March 2013

Just back home after 6 weeks in Pafos dining at Adelaida at least 3 nights every week. The excellent standard of food never varies and the service is friendly and attentive.
This is not a 'fast food' joint and the proprietor (chef) takes care to get things just right. At Eu12.50 each for 3 courses including a bottle of house wine per couple it is outstanding value and I would never think of dining anywhere else in the area..

“room for improvement”
Reviewed 15 March 2013

We both had the three course dinner including a bottle of wine. The meal started off well enough with some bread and butter followed by deep fried calamari rings, which were fine.
For the price we paid I realise one should not expect too much, but my wife's steak had the strangest texture and was devoid of any flavour. My main course of beef stifado was dreadfully tough and watery and apart from too much cumin for my taste was lacking in flavour. A good beef stifado should be melt in the mouth tender with a great depth of flavour, which sadly this was not. Desserts were average but nothing special.

“Good food - poor service”
Reviewed 23 February 2013

We went to this restaurant following reviews - we were not disappointed with the food but the service was terrible. It was a Monday evening in February - we commented that we had just arrived in time before a couple of groups( about 6 in each?) However we were wrong! These people were known to the staff and were all served before us. We waited well over an hour and saw a couple walk out before us. Our complaints fell on deaf ears. Advice - go in if it's quiet but don't expect to be served if there are regulars in.,

“Great Food”
Reviewed 20 February 2013

We had two meals at The Adelaida and wish we had had more. The staff are very welcoming, courteous and polite. The menu offers a wide choice of dishes, the food was excellent and the portions very generous. All this for a very low price. The lovely surprise was the unexpected brandy and liqueur which accompanied the bill. You could not get a better meal anywhere!

“Probably the best value 3-course dinner in Paphos”
Reviewed 18 February 2013

Stayed in Paphos for 7-nights in February and ate at this restaurant 3 times during the week – we couldn’t fault it.

They offer a 3-course dinner including half a carafe of wine and a brandy or coffee liquor for only 10 euros per person and we couldn’t find anywhere else that could beat it or come anywhere close. They also have free Wi-Fi.

The food is good quality with generous portions and an excellent choice. The waiting staff are friendly, polite and very welcoming.

Not surprisingly the restaurant was very busy on each occasion. If I have one criticism, it is that the tables are very close together, so it may not suit those who prefer somewhere more intimate.

Overall, a good dining experience at a rock bottom price.
