“good apartment with lovely sea view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2014

Nice clean apartment with great sea views. Maid came every day to clean. Very quiet and relaxing. Just be careful not to think the drinks that are left out are free! The prices are stated on a price list on the wall! Price for a tea bag is €1.50!!! A great supermarket opposite os really cheep!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor with a sea view

Arrived late at night to a note pinned on the locked door telling us which room to go to where the key was in the apartment door. Found the lift and made our way up. Pleasantly surprised as very adequate size accommodation for the 2 of us. Minibar was in situ. By day 3 we realised that we hadn't received a welcome from management or anyone! However all else was good, the pool was mostly just ours and by how many stacked up sun beds there were realised that not many holiday makers had arrived yet. The apartments are also to rent for locals, occasionally their children would come to the pool for a swim/play but they were well behaved at all times and every so often the parents would come out to check on them. A 15/20 minute walk to the nearest beach but we preferred Corallia Beach a little further on. Maid cleaned daily. Enough equipment in kitchen area to make a quick meal. For a basic, reasonably priced stay, a little way from the main area, this is a good place to stay.

Room Tip: For early morning sun pick the land view rooms.

We arrived just after midnight and our keys were in the doors as promised with a big note. A couple of cans of beer and mini wines were in the room as a mini bar which i was very chuffed with. The place is clean and tidy, we only stayed one night but I would have no problem going back for longer - it was a bargain. Breakfast was decent enough. As mentioned elsewhere - if you arrive in the dark it looks like a bar, but if you look up you see the Petsas Apartments sign.

We have just arrived home and wanted to review what a great family holiday we had. Me, the mrs, 15 y/o and 18month. The owners couldn't be more helpful with any queries we had, ate in the restaurant first night... Wow massive portions!! Considering its Easter school hols, it was very quiet but must be start of the season over there. We had the 2 pools to ourself , and the fantastic coral bay beach a 15 minute stroll away. The apartment was huge. Room 204, massive bedroom with sofa bed and single bed, and double in bedroom. Dining table and chairs and full cooker which was excellent. The furniture seemed dated but was all in full working order. Maid cleaned the room every day, including mopping all the floor space! We was on the second floor (top floor) which had amazing pool and sea views. Free wifi also at the hotel which worked brilliantly. Something for us all to do which was brilliant. If we go back to cyprus would definately stay here again.

I'll start by saying the drive from Larnaca to coral bay was one of the worst I've experienced, limited road side lighting, dreadful signage, my sat nav wouldn't pick up Cyprus either! Got to pathos around midnight to find out coral bay is actually 6km further on, really should have done my homework better. Finally got to coral and after another hour of trying to find the apartments ended up asking a local taxi to take us so we could follow, charged us 8€ to drive around the corner! turns out we were parked in front of it. Again, the signage is appalling, large sign stating coral star restaurant when in actual fact the restaurant is underneath the apartments, opposite Phillipos huge supermarket, just remember if you arrive, late,in the dark, coral star restaurant.
The one bed apartment itself is great, full oven, bonus as I like to cook, tv, with a USB slot and hdmi slot, decent shower, large bedroom, plenty of storage space, balcony overlooking the pool area. As it's out of season pretty quiet too, left to our devices which suits me and mr man. There's a lidl a couple of K down the road, and it's a short walk into coral bay itself, all in all for £95 for two of us for a week it more than did the job!

Arrived there in the dark on 7 December 2013 - Not welcoming at all. The restaurant had closed for the season, the place was in darkness. Actually thought twice about going in. Was given the key by a fairly uncommunicative young lady and told to get the lift to the second floor which was in darkness as they have those annoying cut out systems in their hallways. In this age of energy saving lightbulbs, surely you could leave the lights on! Also told that the heating was part of the air conditioning system and the remote cost 7 euros a day to rent. Having paid less than £150 for the week, it seemed a bit steep to pay another third of the price for the use of a remote control. - the wrong decision as it turned out as it became the coldest week in Cyprus for 50 years - it snowed! - and the apartment was like an iceblock!! However there is a great supermarket across the road and we ended up buying a fan heater for 18 euros and used their electricity to run it and then brought it home!!!

The apartment itself was adequate, a fair size, clean and the beds were changed twice during the week and towels changed. Apart from that, the cleaning was minimal. As the week got colder, so did the hot water - solar power is fine but needs a boost in December! As the rooms were at the back, the balcony had a great view of the sea. But why do rental apartment seats and sofas have to be harder than an old school wooden bench? A bit of comfort is needed. There was a gas cooker but never found any member of staff to tell us how to use the oven and there was no microwave - really? - in this day and age? Overall the place was adequate for what we needed and for what we paid - basically a place to sleep as we were out most of the day but the staff were conspicuous by their absence and it is disconcerting to arrive back at the apartment in the dark in late afternoon and find the place locked up. You could access the lift from the small lobby (which had a stroboscopic light system!) but god help you if you were afraid of lifts as you could not access the stairs from the front area. The halls echoed like mad and any doors closing, furniture moved or talking in the corridor echoed very loudly.

I think we were the only ones in the apartments towards the end of the week and notification of the remedial work on the lighting systems in the rooms would have been appreciated. Instead we were awoken by furniture being dragged across ceramic tile floors and electric driills working.

As I have said an adequate place to sleep but not in the middle of the coldest it had been in 50 years! If you are on a tight budget, it's adequate but look for something better if you can afford it.

Room Tip: If you do decide to stay here, make sure you are on the upper floor and are on the sea view side - o...

We staid just 2 night in Petsas Apartments in October with only 26 EUR/night for 1 room apartment and we were very happy. The apartment (one bedroom and one living room + kitchen area) can accommodate until 4 persons, it is very spacious and well equipped. The bedroom have a nice big wardrobe clean and not smelly which i highly appreciated! The double bed is very comfortable and we slept very well. The bathroom have bathtub and is very clean. The receptionist boy was very kind and polite.

Room Tip: We staid in room 209 and was very good
