This was our first holiday as a family and my son was desperate to eat at the Rib Shack from the moment he saw it. We went in at 7pm on a Monday evening and was told we would have to wait 15-20 minutes.
However we were not given a table until 8.45pm and, as we were hungry, we ignored the starters and ordered our main courses. With great anticipation we waited, and waited, and waited. Eventually we got a waiters attention and asked if there was a problem with our order. Our main finally arrived at 9.45pm.
The ribs were OK, but not fantastic. My wife had to ask for her chips after waiting another 15 minutes after her burger arrived. The food was OK and I would have been more forgiving if the service was better and we were out for pub grub (the food had that kind of feel).
However when the bill came it was €120 for 4 mains and a child's portion. This was by far the most expensive we paid all holiday and it was the worst experience of the break. Even my son, who was desperate to eat here, left with the words "I don't want to go back."
