“Interesting!”
Reviewed 4 July 2013

We stumbled across the catacombs by complete accident as it is on the main road a short walk from the Harbour. You instantly recognise it by the giant tree emerging from the catacombs where people tie handkerchiefs on to make a wish. At the catacombs there are steps leading down into the tombs, where there are a couple chambers to enter, and steps leading further down...to water (though it's so dark down this 2nd set of steps you don't realise there's water until it's too late). Overall an interesting visit and makes for some good photos!

“not much to see”
Reviewed 2 July 2013

found this accidentally while driving. Not much to see, the catacombs were locked, only a small well and a small room were open. Not very interesting I guess it could be worth it only if you're very religious

“Hidden gem”
Reviewed 29 June 2013

Stumbled across this despite having driven past it numerous times. Out for walk one day and decided to investigate further. Discovered there were similar catacombs on the opposite side of the road.

not a lot of information at the site, there are a number of caves, caverns cut into the rocks with tunnels linking some of them.

“nasty place”
Reviewed 29 June 2013

This place was dirty and spooky. It was on the main road next to a bus stop. There was a tree with dirty hankys hanging in it and a dark stairwell into a sort of cave which appeared to be used by people who had a long wait for the bus.It stank of urine.Don't waste your time.Go elsewhere.
