“Simply the best!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 October 2012

This was, quite simply, the best holiday ever. Susan welcomed us with champagne and canapes into a comfortable reception room to sign in and so it began.....the most perfect 2 weeks. We were upgraded to a 2 room suite with sea view - stunning!! Hotel was spotlessly clean everywhere. Room was cleaned twice a day, in the morning and at turndown service, both times fresh towels were left and in the evening a bottle of water left on bedside tables. Fresh toiletries every day if needed (Korres shower gel, lotion, shampoo and conditioner). Pool area fab, plenty sunbeds & towels and the service from Shawn and Georgio was faultless. Cold towels and chilled fruit brought to your sunbed every day by the boys. Waitress service at poolside is just the best, they wont even let you pour your drink from the bottle! All done with wide smiles and friendly chat. Linda and Carmen deserve special mention. Buffet breakfast was extensive, fresh and again service was superb. Greeted each morning by Natalia in the breakfast room with her lovely smile was a great start to each day and Debbie (a fellow Scot) makes the best eggs ever! Kymata restaurant is beautiful....perfect beachside setting and splendid food and service. We ate in the surrounding area too and had a wide choice just a short walk away (20mins) or by bus (I euro, stop just outside hotel). Paphos itself was beautiful during the day but not for us at night, very busy and a wee bit like the promenade at Blackpool. For those who enjoy that though the bus service is great and there are plenty restaurants and bars there. The mantra from the staff in the hotel is "you are on your holiday, let us do the work" and they do it fantastically well! A huge thank you to everyone at Asimina, we hope to see you again next year!!

Room Tip: Sea View Rooms with separate lounge are roomy and have a great view!

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Asimina. My wife did not have a clue that we were going to stay at this hotel until we arrived. An unforgetable experience starting from check in and going onto check out. Excellent food, personnel and suites. The expression on my wife's face when she saw our suite, which also had its own private pool as well as a cabana when you use the hotel's pool, will be inprinted in my mind forever. I have travelled allover the world and stayed in top rated hotels but nothing compares to this gem of a hotel. Keep it up and rest assurred that I will paying more visits to this hotel in the near future.

The first time I reviewed the Asiminas, I titled it "unbeatable" - and I was right. Our second experience just didn't live up to our expectations. The main reason for this was occupancy - on our first visit the hotel wasn't full and everthing was fab. This time, the hotel was completely booked and this had a negative impact on several areas. Firstly, I wasn't happy with our room - although sold as a partial seaview, the main view from our balcony was of the stained roof of the hotel kitchens and the next door car-park; because the hotel was completely full, there was no option to change rooms.
Next, in the buffet restaurant there was often problems allocating outdoor tables. On a number of occasions the manager insisted that we eat indoors;even offering to return later didn't placate him - he insisted that things wouldn't improve.
By 9 o'clock in the morning 90% of the sun loungers were taken and by 10 it was 100%. Late comers were offered loungers on the beach with little shade. Strangely, the cabanos (extra charge) were never fully occupied - surely they should have been given free of charge to late coming guests?
Many excellent features remain - the waiting staff are brilliant and although some new faces, many of the regular staff are still there. Special thanks to Haini. The food is very, very good and if you buy the discounted half board package it actually comes close to local restaurant price. The basic rooms are comfortable (especially the beds) and spacious. The swimming from the beach is wonderful. Gym is better than most hotels. Massage is very good (thanks Andrea) and well priced. Room servicing is very good - thanks Eli & Rumy
So overall, this is still a 5* experience, marred mainly by high occupancy rate.

Room Tip: Partial sea view rooms have little view of anything. Pool and sea view better. Choose carefully when...

Just returned from a week at The Asimina Suites Hotel. The best thing about the hotel is its staff. They cannot do enough for you and offer a friendly and polite service. Special mentions must go to Shaun and George, the pool guys and Christina, who brought us probably a few too many wines on the terrace during our stay.

The rooms are lovely, spacious beds, fantastic bathrooms. One point I would make is that we had paid for a full sea view room and whilst we could see the sea, the main view was of the pool. The way the hotel is designed all the sea view/pool view rooms benefitted from the same view. I was a little disappointed on arrival but soon got over it and the bottle of Champagne from Dino, the Hotel manager was a very nice touch.

The food at the hotel is good, if a little limited. There are 3 restaurants for dinner. A main restaurant offering a buffet style dinner and 2 A La Carte restaurants, although both the A La Carte offered exactly the same menu. The buffet dinner was fine but for the price, it is worth paying for one of the A La Carte and the beach front restaurant is by far the nicer. Breakfast was great with the biggest selection of continental and cooked options and a special mention to the Scottish lady on the egg station - she works wonders.

The pool area is beautiful, comfy beds and very, very clean. A family arrived with lilos on our second to last day. Just hope it was a one off as it would certainly ruin the peace and tranquility of the place. Shaun and/or George are on hand throughout the day to help make you as comfortable as possible and Carmen is super efficient providing the poolside service.

The wifi is shockingly bad, it frequently lost connection and you had to re-enter a non user friendly code every time. But that's just a little gripe from a social media junky.

If I had a to sum up the Asimina, I would say it is peaceful, relaxing and a really pleasant place to stay and recharge your batteries.

Room Tip: Really hard to distinguish between the pool/sea view rooms. The hotel is in a v shape with rooms loo...

Hotel perfect in everyway, so peaceful and quiet. Staff very helpful and attentive. You are checked in with nibbles and a complimentary drink and everything about the hotel is explained in full so you know where everything is. Suites excellent can't fault them in anyway fresh fruit and wine is also incuded on arrival in your suite which is a great touch along with bottled water daily on the turn down service. The Hotel staff also noted is was my partners Birthday so a scrummy cake was delivered to the suite with candle as well. Breakfast choice is excellent and all kinds of food/drink available, Garden and pool stunning location and is very well kept and maintained although sometime hard to find a sunbed until later in the day, but overall no problems. Paphos has lots of good restaurants and bars if you want to venture out and the bus service/taxis are great. We hired a beach buggy for fun and was fab I recommend, trust me you won't be disapointed, a perfect relaxing holiday in such a smashing hotel!

Just returned from seven nights at the Asimina and can confirm that it is a beautiful hotel in a perfect setting with the most attentive and professional staff. Our suite - a one bedroom with sea view was beautifully clean and the bathroom was luxurious with walk in shower and double sink. The bed was extremely comfortable and the maid service efficient and helpful.with fresh bottles of water every evening. It was our anniversary during our stay and we were presented with a beautiful cake. The check in was easy and relaxing with a complimentary drink and nibbles and we were then shown round the hotel. The breakfast buffet was impressive with something for everyone. We ate in the Kymata beach restaurant most lunch times and it was the most perfect setting -really really special - the food at lunchtime is simple and well presented. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurants in the evening as we like to try different settings and types of food and their are many good restaurants in Paphos. We especially liked Theos fish restaurant in the harbour area and a beautiful taverna called Fettas in the old town. We also had a Chinese meal in Chloes in the harbour which was really lovely. The pool area at the hotel is absolutly perfect - the grounds are well tended with lovely flower gardens and very comfortable loungers. The pool attendant - Shaun is worth a special mention - he works his socks off and is an absolute credit to the hotel - his focus on customer service is exemplary - worth his weigth in gold!
The only slight niggles we had was the fact that even in a luxury hotel like this - people still put towels down in their preferred sun beds and then disappear off - sometimes for the whole morning not returning til after lunchtime and that shouldn't be allowed to happen.
You do also hear aircraft noise as the hotel is in the flight path but to be honest it was only a couple of times a day and it really didnt bother us at all. The final point is that it is quite a trek ( along a lovely coastal path) into Paphos so a lot longer than the 15/20 minutues it said in our brochure - more like 30/35 minutes. Their is a bus service into Paphos from outside the hotel - cost is 1 euro pp and it is quite regular. Taxis are abundant and cost about 8/9 euroes each way to Paphos so quite expensive if you do it every day.
I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect setting and beautiful views - the sunsets are absolutely perfect and the service was excellent. We would definitely like to go back to the Asimina.
