I have just been married at Louis Phaethon. The staff and especially Jason the operations manager made our wedding day as perfect as you could get, from the day we arrived to the day we left nothing was too much trouble. There was 16 people in all that came from the UK to the wedding and all agree with me.
I would highly recommend a wedding at this hotel.
Keep up the good work Jason

The quality of service is a real strength of this hotel. All staff were friendly, helpful and polite. The rooms are in need up of an update but they are very clean and are not that small. The standard of the rooms was actually better than I expected after reading some reviews. The quality, quantity and variety of food was excellent. It was nice to have a mixture of local and international cuisine. The entertainment team work hard and create a fun atmosphere around the pool without it being too rowdy. The pool is very clean and a good size. The beach by the hotel is disappointing, but a 30 min bus trip takes you straight to coral bay beach which is beautiful. The hotel is at the end of the main hotel strip, however, the bus stops regularly right outside and takes 10 mins to the harbour so we never found the location a massive drawback. We stayed half board which does mean you get stung a bit on the cost of drinks in the hotel. Overall a nice holiday and good hotel.

We had been warned!

Bad points:
no towels provided (thought it was all inclusive!)
sometimes limited to 2 drinks per visit to the bar - there was 6 of us!!
cleaners need to look under the bed, and the bath could do with some bleach
a/c is not cooling - at best it could be called a fan
rooms small and dated in design

Good points:
food was amazing - great choice and quality
staff were helpful and friendly
entertainment was plentiful and team were very talented
pool was large and plenty of sun loungers

Overall, I did enjoy my holiday but thought for it was expensive for the quality of accommodation compared to an all inclusive in the Caribbean!

Hotel great, food fantastic, location good, waiter service for drinks good idea but sometimes had to wait ages to catch one's eye. Not much around hotel but that didn't matter as entertainment was good. Reps not very helpful - sent me to a private hospital so I had to pay £50 excess even though I said I wanted to use my national health card. Reps never seemed to know what was happening.

Stayed a week in June at this hotel with our two teenage daughters.Firstly lets start with the good stuff.Entertainment is great at this hotel,Dido & his team do a brilliant job to entertain you & not only just for kids either they are a credit to the hotel.
However what is disappointing are the rooms, very shabby, small and tired looking definately not a four star room more like a low end 3star! Its a shame as the hotel reception & pool area are 4star.The buffet style food is ok but more fruit choice would have been an advantage and if you like creme caramel and cheesecake every night you`ll be happy.Location well out of the way but you didnt need to go far for the entertainment as that was first class.I would recommend this hotel to a friend for entertainment purposes only.

Yes the rooms are small, basic and dated, but they are clean and have what you need. The pool is fab, especially for kids and plenty of room for everyone. The food is lovely, a roast cooked every night plus lots of variation + even a separate kids section. Help yourself to drinks during the day. Bus is only 1.50 to get into Paphos town or as far as Coral Bay beach from right outside hotel. Hotel entertainment team are always on the go - lots for you to do if you wish + kids club was varied. I would definitely go back.

Truthful opinion.
Upon arrival the reception and lounge areas were impressive. However, once allocated to our room the treck throughout the maze of dark dirty carpeted corridors felt like prison.
The rooms were very small, tired and in need of a lick of paint and the carpet a good clean; the remainder of splattered mossies were also on the walls.
The photo of the hotel shows a white beach in front of the pirate ship hmmmm?
Location is the very last hotel on past the waterpark, so a 10mins bus trip from harbour.
Day time activities were very good: archery, boules, aqua aerobics etc.
Evening entertainment in a stuffy dark dark room underground, not bad but not great either. Gone are the days when entertainers had real talent! miming to Greese tracks.
Food and drink however, was very good with a wide variety of roasts, local dishes and desserts. Oh and the chinese take away very good.
Tip, be careful round the pool as gets very slippy!
