First visit to this hotel but won't be the last. Made to feel very welcome by all staff. Enjoyed having breakfast in the open air and took advantage of the flexible dining package - eating in the hotel 4 times and other evenings at a variety of restuarants. Food was excellent as was the service. Exc ellent pool facilities with plenty of sun beds for everyone. Bedroom facilities excellent with tea and coffee making equipment, fridge, hairdrier and lots of shampoo and shower gel. Provision of "pool towels" means that you don't have to take your own beach towels with you. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday with helpful and friendly staff.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking rection are north faciing so have little or no Sun but the views to the hills are still spectactular.

Have recently returned (28 October ) from the Avanti. 1st stay at the Avanti but it won't be the last. Recommended to us by a friend and we were not disappointed. Spacious, well appointed reception and public areas. Reception staff well informed and always very helpful. Spacious, well appointed bedroom with comfortable beds. Real bonus having a fridge in room. Good bathroom with great powerful shower and plenty of hot water. Our room (4011) had balcony overlooking garden and pool area with side view of sea. Sun on balcony every morning, nice and cool in the afternoon. If your budget allows, definitely worth upgrading your room to a pool or sea view room. Stayed 10 days and sheets changed 3 times, towels changed every day. Pool towels provided in room which was a bonus and you could change them yourself every day. Large pool area with plenty of sunbeds. We stayed bed and breakfast so can't comment on evening meals. However, breakfasts were plentiful with good variety of cereals and fruit, plus good variety of hot and cold food. Plenty of good quality restaurants within minutes walk from hotel. Many mentioned in other reviews but our favourites were Luigi's for pizzas and Italian, Xiang Gong for Chinese ( beautiful décor and great food ). Both right across from hotel through the grounds. If you like seafood ( including amazing fish and chips ) then The Ocean Basket by the Avanti Village (5 mins at the most ) is the place to go. Feeling romantic then late afternoon walk through the hotel grounds, across the road, down past Luigis to the headland ( approx. 500 yards ) where there is a small bar selling the cheapest beer and sit and watch the sun go down right in front of you. You can catch the bus into Paphos for 1.5 euros. If going further afield then get a day ticket for 5 euros. Alternatively, have a 20-25 minute stroll to Paphos along the coastal path with the sea on your left all the way. All in all a lovely, relaxing holiday in a very nice hotel and we will definitely be returning to The Avanti.

We had such a good holiday the first time that we visited the Avanti Hotel that we decided to visit again, this time taking my husbands parents with us.
To me the Avanti Hotel is a good all round hotel, a hotel to go to that you know you will have a relaxing enjoyable holiday.
There have been one or two changes that have been made in the 3 years since our last visit, for one the mattresses seem to have been changed and the beds are now much more comfortable than they were last time, secondly they now offer fresh made pancakes at breakfast which were lovely.
Things that have not changed, the hotel is still very clean, the staff are exceptional and to be honest make this hotel, the variety of food on offer at breakfast is still good.
Last time we had a pool view room and this time we had a room overlooking the road to the side, I liked both as they both had positives to them.
If I had to make a constructive criticism it would be that I think that for a hotel of this standard they should offer fresh fruit juices at breakfast as opposed to the concentrated drinks they now offer.
Would we visit again, definitely I would not hesitate to go back

Room Tip: Pool view rooms get the sun in the afternoon but are above the evening entertainment. Inland view rooms are quieter and still get the sun but you do not have the pool view.

We would recommend the Avanti to anyone. We were made to feel very welcome. The rooms were clean and the staff were very helpful. For value for money the Avanti would be very hard to beat. For a half board package the food was excellent. There are also excellent local restaurants if you want to eat outside the hotel.

location is ok. close to the beach (not really sandy neach, though) and some bars/restaurants, but not many shops around. i prefer walking and changing place every day, so i didn't like it too much, but i guess it's ok if you don't move around too much. good thing it's less then 10 min ride by bus (runs every 10 min or so) to the town centre.

breakfast was awesome. everything you can think of. even pretty weird food, for may morning taste!

service was more then i wanted. they take your luggage at your arrival and all those fancy things. there's animation for children in the evening, show and music, some activities during the day as well. most of the guests in the evening dress up if they stay in the hotel.
i've seen disable access everywhere in the hotel, and quite a few wheelchairs moving around easily.

the swimming pool is quite big, but i haven't tried it out, for i prefer the real sea and beach.

the safe in the room is a bit small (my pad was not properly fitting in it and it would not host it with the camera as well) and you have to pay for it.

when i was there, the free wifi in the main hall was very poor, but they said they would work on it. i must say that seeing a 'pay as you go' internet access in the same area, i actually thought they keep the free connection poor so you have to get the other one if you really want it.... but maybe i'm mean :)

Room Tip: central rooms on the 5th floor (which is actually a 3rd... not sure why they call it 5th) have a low but continuous noise during all day/night. i suspect it's the air condition. not too annoying, for it never stops, you get used quickly.
