The Avanti is a great hotel in a good spot if you want to be away from the centre and hustle and bustle a little. We stayed for two weeks b&b and breakfasts were great, everything you could want and always plentiful and fresh. The hotel and grounds are always tidy and clean and rooms are cleaned/fresh towels every day. Really comfy beds and the hotel is nice and quiet at night. If there is one comment it would be that the bathrooms don't reflect a four star hotel, very clean but tired and in need of up-dating, that said we would recommend a stay. Lots of local bars and restaurants, great beach bar for a tea time drink just head straight to the sea from the hotel down the side of the rib shack.

The Avanti Hotel in my opinion is a Top end 3 star but unfortunately not a regular 4 star,
We have stayed in various hotels in our lives, so I draw on my own personal experience to say this
.
This is a very clean modern'ish hotel with pleasant staff, who are always there when you need them, always willing to help and with a polite smile and understanding manner. The Manager is always there or there about's if you need to speak to him with a polite smile and a good morning or a good evening, which is nice to know, and that he mingles with the guests.

But what lets the hotel down is their food.

Breakfast is breakfast where ever you go, catering for the British holiday maker, cereals, fry up, continental, tea, coffee juice, its all there.

But the meal in the evening, if you are on anything more than a seven night holiday get prepared for the same food again, all cooked in olive oil and highly seasoned or herb blasted,
There appears to be little imagination in the kitchen as far as variety is concerned,(sorry chef).
Where is the variety in the vegetables, one night broccoli, next night fried or grilled cauliflower (could never work out which), peas and carrots the next, is it not possible to have more than one choice per night, after all, we are staying half board, and if you run out of one vegetable your on to a winner with that for the evening and cook some more, and please let us have a choice.
If you can supply a choice in the meat and fish dishes, you can try to do the same for the veg.
The kids meals was the same as far as I could see, for 2 or 3 nights on the trot,
So the little mights had very little choice ,tomato basted pasta and chips, and if you get fed up of the oiled potatoes on the adults section, this is where the chips can be found.
Some nights we struggled to put a main course meal together,
Starters were mainly salad based or soup, and the desert course was either various ice creams, cake, or fruit in jelly.

When you stay at a hotel with 4 stars you do expect a certain level of variety to the food for the first week and for your second week, but it was not to be found here, so as I say a very good 3 star but not a 4 star hotel for us.

On a plus side There are plenty of sun loungers avaliable all day, the pool is safe and clean, the whole of the hotel is very clean and presentable, the hotel bedrooms are maintained to a reasonable standard, clean sheets, clean towels, changed every day, quiet air conditioning units, English tv (if you need it) and a good cold fridge. the bathroom we had was a little dated, but that is what you would expect if you look at the hotel as a 3 star, so that's what we did.

Also a personal tip for the hotel,
if the hotel would like to attract patrons to stay longer at the hotel in the evenings, reduce the price of the drinks to the level of what is available outside the front entrance of the hotel, or just a little higher, your prices are twice as much as what is on offer at other local bars.
Not everyone wants to go out all the time, but there is no encouragement to stay around the hotel in the evening and have a relaxing drink and a chat.

On a foot note we would return but only on a bed and breakfast basis

we booked in late in the evening our room on the 5th floor overlooking the pool was exactly as arranged online, we had a really comfortable twin bed each. the staff looked to see we had what we required drinks etc ,on finding out our wedding anniversary date a bottle of Proseco & fruit plate was delivered to our room. the swimming pool is the best we have spent many hours in the water to cool off & enjoy a drink at the poolside bar . plenty of sun loungers on the side of the pool & on the grass, no need to reserve one thankyou to all the staff

Room Tip: although the air condition units can be heard on the balcony the top floor gives a better view over...

Well worth a stay at the Avanti Hotel.
The staff are friendly and keen to help.
The food is excellent (we stayed on bed / breakfast & evening meal basis).
The staff arrange a light meal for our late arrival and a complementary lunch on our departure.
Location is not far from the beach and in the 'Triangle area' which has lots of bars and shops and only a fairly short walk to town by road or along the sea front.
The Avanti ticked all our boxes and at a reasonable price.

Room Tip: We booked a pool view room which is probably the better choice.

My husband and I stayed at the Avanti Hotel for a week in June. We can honestly say it was the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The facilities were wonderful throughout, the food superb and the staff very friendly and helpful. It was good to be able to get a sun bed each morning without any hassle and the pool area was lovely and clean with good facilities. The room was spotless and fresh towels were supplied every day. We were pleasantly surprised that we were not ripped off with the price of drinks in the hotel as so often happens and the bar staff were very efficient and friendly. The hotel was well situated just on the outskirts of Phaphos but close enough to walk into the town and there were some nice bars and restaurants in the immediate area. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: We didn't have a pool view (you could pay extra for one) but it didn't bother us at all we w...

We came back to the Avanti Hotel for a week's break at the end of May this year; this must have been about our twelfth stay at the Avanti over recent years. Why do we keep going back? Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Great staff who are genuinely pleased to welcome you back and who respond quickly if you need something done. Great food. Comfortable rooms. Great location - a private setting in its own extensive gardens but near the beach and other local facilities. Also, every time we go we notice some little improvement. I reckon we will be heading back again later this year.
