Me,my husband and daughter In her mid 20s stayed here early June we had come to Paphos for a wedding. Although not much in the surrounding area it was a pleasant 30 minute stroll to the harbour and all the lovely places to have a drink. There are buses passing the hotel and for 5 euros a day unlimited travel so you can go to the market and coral Bay for one payment.

The hotel itself is not 5* but what it does not have in luxury it makes up for in other ways, A welcome drink on arrival and a mid week drinks party. Clean towels as often as you want and special pool towels. A lovely balcony to sit on and ample room for three adults.

A lovely fridge to store milk and cold drinks and a kettle to make drinks you can purchase tea and coffee in the lovely shop. The breakfasts were plentiful and the tea and coffee good. One day we sat talking with relatives to well into the closing time time and the lovely restaurant manager just waved and smiled and said have a nice day. The pool was great and there was always a sun lounger maybe not in a prime spot but always available. The bar was reasonable and it was lovely to sit on the veranda and chat in the evening. It was nice and cool here during the day to sit and read and I was never pestered to buy a drink. There were lovely restaurants on the other side of the road especially the French and Italian ones as well as the ocean basket in the Avanti village. There is a lovely cool lounge with free WIFI. The rooms have air-con and British channels on the TV. The toiletries were replaced when necessary and the room kept clean

Room Tip: a room facing the pool is great

Avanti hotel really is a lovely place to stay. Nice reception, pool area and rooms are nice too. Only thing, bathroom could do with an update and not really 4 star worthy. Free air con in room was good. Little fridge in room was handy. We had bed and breakfast which was nice but got a little repetitive but still an ok choice.

The bar by the pool serves food but wouldn't really recommend it, it's ok for a quick snack but nothing amazing.

Location wise really good, not in centre of Paphos but only a 20 minute walk and bust stops outside hotel if you don't want to walk. There are also restaurants and bars nearby but they were very 'British' if you are looking to try local restaurants.

There is a beach 5 minutes walk but it's not the best-very rocky and lots of seaweed so not crystal clear. If you walk 10 minutes there is a beach in front of the Aloe hotel which is ok! Would definitely visit coral bay which is a 30 minute bus journey from harbour.

Finally if you go the harbour for dinner you must visit the mooring-amazing food and quite cheap too!!!!!

The staff at Avanti are very welcoming so would definitely suggest going here-lovely hotel.

We stayed in Avanti May 2014. Our room was a pool view with balcony.Lovely large rooms with bunk bed for the kids. Massive and very comfy bed for us.CLEAN!!!
Breakfast has a large selection of cereals, breads, cold meats and cheese and hot cooked options. It did get a bit boring by the end of the holiday and selection never changed but that is my only little nag.
Staff is ever so helpful and I would love to stay there again!

Stayed at the Avanti hotel 25th June to 2nd July B&B will stay longer next time lovely rooms everything spotless worth the extra for pool view which turned out to be sea view as well, breakfast lots of choice, all the staff were very friendly, a slight problem with the internet but that was being sorted as we left it didn't bother us. Lovely big pool plenty of sun beds they looked new and you get a pool towel. Excellent location close to the beach and a lovely walk to the harbour or you can catch the bus outside the hotel. Didn't eat in the restaurant this time but if we had stayed longer we would have done, drinks were reasonably priced the entertainment was good loved watching the children joining in. This hotel is a real gem hope to return soon

Room Tip: Higher rooms have the best view if you don't want to hear the entertainment don't overlook t...

My partner and I stayed at the Avanti hotel on a half board basis between 22-29th June. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Staff hospitality, particularly Renatta was ever so friendly and attentive, nothing was too much at any time and they all made us feel welcome. The food was very nice, rooms were cleaned and spotless daily. We had a room with pool and ocean view which was smashing. bathrooms were well equipped with constant hot water. the lounge hosts wifi and a nice areas to relax. the hotel is on a good bus route with services which take you to the harbour and other areas of interest. We had a wonderful, relaxing break and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Rooms are spacious but upper rooms offering pool views are nice.

Returned from a week's stay at the Avanti and I couldn't fault it. The service of the staff was exemplary; the manager went out of his way to help sort out our wifi issues and the waiters and waitresses were friendly without obsequious. We found the food to be really good quality; there was a wide variety to choose from and it was all delicious! The room was clean, beds really comfortable and no problems with the air conditioning, which at some holiday hotels is either a bit chilly or blows warm air out. Couldn't fault it. Will return very soon.

Me & My Fiance spent a week away staying at the Avanti Hotel (2nd July - 9th July) . We both thought the hotel was nice but we didn’t think it was 4 star standards more like a 3 star. We stayed B&B which we preferred as there were so many really lovely places to eat close by.
The staff at the Avanti hotel were fantastic (minus the man at the front desk who we thought was rude and very grumpy when we checked in. It would have been nice to have a better welcome to the hotel). I am not sure of her name but one of the receptionist was extremely helpful when we wanted to go somewhere nice for my birthday. She recommended the ‘muse’ restaurant which had an amazing view. I would really recommend going there as it was lovely. Also the waiters in the bar were great and very friendly and need to also mention and thank a lovely waitress for helping us order our McDonalds delivery at 1am when a group of us were in need of food to go with our cocktails. I would recommend McDonald’s delivery the food is so much better than a McDonalds in the UK.
As it was my birthday while we stayed I was greeted to a bottle of champagne on my birthday in the room. There was also a fruit platter and a small bottle of red and white wine on our arrival to the hotel. We did not pay any extra to have a pool view room as I did not really see the point as we did not spend hardly any time in the room. The air conditioning in the room was great and worked fine and towels changed when you needed them to be.
The games put on by the animation team were great. My fiancé enjoyed taking part in them all especially the water polo. Mike & Chantelle from the animation team were great & really deserve praise for what they do.
The pool area is really good. Always sun beds available no matter what time of the day. It was great you were given pool towels too so no need to take your own.

The hotel is close to many bars and restaurants. A few great restaurants we went to include the Rib shack, Ocean Basket, Luigis, the Muse, the Golden Cafe and Fiesta. The Rib shack we ate at three times during our stay, the Ribs are lovely and so is the calypso chicken. The Ocean Basket is a seafood restaurant which was really great. The food was amazing. Ate there twice during our stay. It does get very busy so I would either recommend you book or eat there early. You will not be disappointed. Luigis is an Italian restaurant & you could also take your pizza away with you. Ate there twice during our stay. We went to the Muse on my birthday for lunch. It is in the old town and the views are incredible. The food was lovely too. The Golden Cafe was great. We ate there for lunch most days. Fiesta is a cocktail bar with the best cocktails and the cheapest cocktails too. We ate there a few times too and the food again was great.
I liked the fact that you didn’t get hassled by any of the restaurants near the hotel. Normally the waiters are stood at the front trying to get you to come in. This is what we experienced when we went to the harbour which we really did not like so we didn’t eat by the harbour in the end.

Overall we had a lovely relaxing stay at the Avanti Hotel.
