We stayed at the Pioneer Beach for 7 days at the end of July and it was absolutely perfect. It was our Honeymoon, so a bit biased this time, but really excellent hotel. We upgraded to a superior sea view room and the view was stunning, large balcony with double sun bed plus table & 2 chairs. Room itself was spacious, modern & clean. Best bed I have ever slept in away from home, fully stocked & replenished mini bar was great and little touches like slippers, flip flops and toiletries were very welcome. Bottle of wine and fruit when we arrived, plus champagne on ice in our room the day before we left. Food was totally amazing and a cocktail list to put any London club to shame. Try the Flambe night - the fillet steak was wonderful. Everything seemed so relaxed and unhurried during all meals. We have been all inclusive on a number of occasions, but the Pioneer Beach had a different feel to it, more like proper restaurant food. Huge range of branded drinks, including my beloved Bombay Sapphire Gin.

Entertainment was good, usual Greek Night was executed very well and we enjoyed the 70s night, along with classic cocktail menu (Tequila Sunrise, Pina Colada) plus music in both the inside bars. Swimming pool was very warm, but beautiful and very clean. Beach a little small and rather rocky, but we knew that before we booked. Still plenty of sand for us and a welcome jetty helped you in and out if you didn't want to swim over the rocks. Our upgrade included a private Cabana on the beach which was heaven - lovely cool sea breeze. Full waiter service on the beach also kept us cool!

The staff were honestly the best we've ever encountered, so friendly and courteous without being over bearing, literally nothing was too much trouble and they really seemed to enjoy working there. Plenty of sun beds both round the pool and on the beach at any time of day so no need for the early morning towel brigade. This was our first time at an Adults only hotel and we will never go back!

I have never returned to the same hotel in 20 years of holidaying abroad, but we both said we will definitely return to the Pioneer Beach hotel.

We have just returned from this little piece of heaven after a week of relaxation. This is a first class hotel - the peaceful location, charming and welcoming staff who couldn't do enough for you, wonderful food and tranquil atmosphere; this hotel has it in spades and sets the standard by which others should measure themselves. As others, my husband and I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. If you are looking for a 'holiday camp atmosphere' with the traditional tour company diet of activities, shows, kiddie clubs and 'you're on holiday - everyone shout woo hoo!' Entertainment teams then this hotel is not the place for you. It has understated elegance and an air of calm about it, helped no doubt being adult only. Compare the atmosphere here by walking along to neighbouring hotels and you will immediately notice the difference. The entire staff - from the manager to chamber maids - have to be the most pleasant and welcoming hotel team we have ever encountered. All food is superb and of excellent quality. We are certain to return - can't wait.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a superior sea view room - you will not be disappointed.

We've just returned from a two week stay at The Pioneer Beach and had a wonderful time. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for you and always with a smile. We stayed in a superior room on all inclusive and thought it was great value for money and this gave us the option to eat in the a la carte restaurants each evening which was a joy. The entertainment was good and we enjoyed the quiz evenings too. We caught the bus down to Paphos harbour quite often and then enjoyed a brisk walk back along the coastal path, which was quite testing in the blistering heat but earned some extra calories to enjoy the fabulous food! Only one problem was the memory foam beds which don't help people (like me) with back problems, the hotel did all they could to help me, even bringing a plank up to our room to try to firm up the mattress. Super customer service and an amazing holiday, neither of us felt ready to come home.

great hotel, nice and quiet, there is a good bus service into pathos
food is very good and the staff are very friendly
it has its own private beach which has a shallow sea depth and is safe to swim in
the area is full of great paces to visit and has some fantastic history dating back 1000's of years
a single bus fare of 2 euros will take you anywhere all day which is phenomenal value for money--why can't we do that
a short bus journey takes you to the beautiful coral beach and a walk into pathos will take about 20 mins
don't forget to try out the many restaurants

Room Tip: sea view-same as the pool view all rooms are quiet
