Read all the excellent reviews on this hotel before we went and it certainly lived up to expectations and in some cases even exceeded them. The staff are so very friendly and helpful, nothing seems too much trouble for them. We booked a superior room with sea view which also afforded us vip check in with champagne, later breakfast in the Christiana restaurant and a late check out. The sea view rooms face west so it was lovely to sit on the balcony, sipping the wine from our room, and watching the sunsets which were spectacular. The food was good quality with plenty of choices. We were on half board and ate in the main restaurant most nights but you could book for two of the other restaurants with no additional charge or the Thalasso with a 10 euro discount. Breakfasts were very good cereals, yoghurts, fruit, pastries, cheeses, meats, smoked salmon, hot food, eggs cooked to choice, plenty of different fruit juices, freshly squeezed orange juice, tea, coffee, still and sparkling bottled water and, best of all, champagne. Our room was serviced twice a day. We had tea and coffee making facilities including an espresso machine and an ironing board. As I've mentioned before the staff are brilliant and Diana really impressed us with her genuine friendliness, helpfulness and smiles. This is the place to go for a relaxing holiday.

this was our first time in Cyprus try to use couples hotels wherever we go, have been to premier le reve in egypt several times and thought no hotel could ever beat it for service, food and cleanliness how very wrong we were, we were lucky to book a week in a superior deluxe sea view room a/i a bit disappointed with the room size no picture window as shown in brochure, but hay ho we didn't go on holiday to stay in our room, were do you start
with the food, it was fresh hot tasty and truly wonderful, breakfast, back or streaky bacon sausage mushrooms tomatoes egg chef plus cereals continental section yoghurt just so much choice, lunch, we just had snacks to try and reserve tummy space for dinner, enjoyed every dinner angus steak to name one thing, staff friendly without being pushy dining room staff (al-a carte) first class very professional lovely setting, entertainment low key as we already knew just right for this hotel, thanks andy great, this place suited us, there was some very nice people using this hotel which to us is a bonus, just can't wait to return in 2014, thanks to all the staff for making our holiday special.

Room Tip: If you can choose a superior sea view worth every penny, (can be booked via hotel)

Our first visit here was in March this year as the financial crisis was underway and having read some unflattering reviews since then we thought we had better go back to find out for ourselves!
As far as we are concerned nothing has changed, the Hotel is excellent and good value for money with very friendly & efficient staff and a menu choice that makes choosing what to eat EXTREMELY difficult as there are so many nice things you don't want to miss out on!
Lambros, the Duty Manager always seem to be available for a chat and greets the clients on our arrival, at the restaurant entrance and on departure - not many Duty Managers do that! We were lucky with the weather for our brief 7 night stay with blue skies and mid-twenties temperatures the norm. The Hotel was busier than in March which was very nice to see and there were several couples returning again for the 2nd or 3rd time this year.
The evening entertainment is still aimed at relaxation rather than dancing the night away so if you're looking for late night revelry this is not the Hotel for you.
There is no doubt in my mind that we will be going back as soon as possible as holidaying in this Hotel is a truly wonderful experience!

Room Tip: Higher floors with sea view are the best option.

The Pioneer Beach has amazing staff who happily go out of their way to ensure you have a superb holiday, all members of staff at every level were genuinely warm and friendly, some of the best hospitality we have recieved whilst in Europe.

This hotel in November is best suit for couples who like to spend quality time together and appreciate the finer things in life like relaxation, siting in a cabana together with a glass of champagne or two... and watching the sunset. Admittedly this is not the location for night life entertainment as the evenings here are much more sedate and given that's the whole idea of visiting this part of paphos at this time of year to unwind, we more than happy to experience the Spa for treatments and soak up the late rays.

We recommend staying in the normal room; is it really worth paying for a sea view, probably not as you will know doubt be out for most of your days.. Ultra All Inclusive Premium is a good idea if you can afford the increased price, better for most things except the rooms as they are designed exactly as ours so not sure the price hike is justifiable.

The Regina Italian restaurant was the best choice in our minds; one our AL package we could visit up to twice in our stay but had gone to the Thalassa Mediterranean restaurant for one of our visits. The steak was very good but by far our Lobster for two at the Regina was perfect. We could have eaten there every day, beautiful quality of food and the restaurant manager was very professional.

The difference with staff at this hotel is they all pitch in to ensure the customer is catered for throughout, it was incredibly and one we in England could learn a lot from. Every day we saw the General Manager who was always smiling and we would exchange greetings and give us an opportunity to learn their language.

Of all the people we got to meet and converse with the staff that went the extra mile were; Adonis, Diana, Robert and Christina. It was also in the order I felt Adonis was the most sincere and had great warmth, thank you.

I've read the reviews like everyone does and yes there is a higher presence of more mature clients; however there were many people of all ages who we found friendly, unlike some hotels where people can be noisy and rude. You won't find anyone like this here!

Room Tip: Front aspect, normal rates and quiet.

Just returned from a six day stay. Our room was a superior sea view room, it was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the late breakfast and late check out options. Celebrated a birthday while there and returned to room to find card, balloons, streamers and wine very nice touch. Cannot fault the hotel in any way, food was excellent, service was superb and we will definitely return.

We had a wonderful week at this lovely hotel from 27th October. Everything was spot on! The room was very comfortable, food was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. We booked a superior room with mountain view which enabled us to check out at 6pm and take breakfast later in the Christiana restaurant. The weather was perfect and the sunsets beautiful. The entertainment was low key and enjoyable. There were more than enough sunbeds and shades both around the pool and on the beach. Although I can't fault any aspect of our stay at Pioneer Beach, we did find the pool cold but that didn't spoil our holiday at all and we would love to return. Many thanks to all staff hope to meet again next year

Room Tip: All rooms very similar I believe. Ours overlooking the road was very quiet but would maybe go for su...

Just returned from cyprus , this was our second visit to this hotel and we had a very relaxing holiday this was why we picked the pioneer . You get first class service all the time , the hotel is spotless the food is excellent , the staff are polite , and as said in other reviews cannot do enough for you, this hotel is for people that need peace and quiet and to relax , it's not for the people that need to party till dawn .cyprus is a lovely place and if you need to relax and have chill out time the pioneer hotel is the hotel for you.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms are a must , to travel so far and not to enjoy the sea view , go on pay the extra...
