I am not a big fan of hotels and so on during holidays, but this hotel was perfectly adequate, with good service and good food and free WIFI. There is a pool, a private beach and a number of restaurants. I wasn't overly impressed by the food, being something of a foodie myself, and I've been to hotels where the standard of food was higher, but I think this hotel is a good deal.

Our second visit did not disappoint. Great hotel, high levels of service and very clean. Food is excellent especially the al la carte restaurants of which there are three options. All inclusive package includes branded spirits and there is a choice of bars. Entertainment is available every night and there were some decent singers. We had deluxe room which included a beach cabana which was very nice, also had the option of a later breakfast until 11am. Only negative feedback is that the hotel operate a key system and the key fob operates the air con, the rooms get very warm in the day and take an age to cool down when you return, but we did get a fan which did help once we had this. The staff in all areas give attentative service and the management are active in checking that all is well which is very reassuring. The adult only concept is really good and you cannot help but chill and relax! Overall a fantastic choice for a holiday. We will definitely return.

A very nice hotel with it's own little beach. Air con in rooms and reception but the corridors are very warm. Room was clean (why carpets?)and comfortable. Some staff were very friendly mostly the locally employed staff but the others not so. The young lady who showed us to our table in the mornings and for dinner was by far the friendliest. Food was nothing special. Last year's hotel in Ayia Nappa (Atlantico Anneas)was better. Tip - ask for a second key so you can put the air con on in your room about a hour before you finish sunbathing.

From arrival to departure the Staff were the most helpful, polite people I have had the good fortune to meet, nothing a problem...ever!!! and Michaela one of the waitresses can have a job in our Pub Restaurant anytime!!!
The facilities are amazing, the cleanliness out of this world, the food just so tasty, fresh and well prepared.....all in all a fantastic Hotel...thank you to all the staff at the Pioneer Beach for making our first days off in 4.5 months so relaxing and special
Definitely a Hotel to seriously consider if you want quality with a personal touch.
Our only little niggle, last orders for drinks 11:45pm?? empty glasses requested at 12midnight?? maybe bars closing at 1pm would be worth considering Mr Manager

Room Tip: Ask for sea view

We stayed at this hotel in August for one week. It is a very well run hotel, clean and well managed and not too big although a bigger than we would have liked. We stayed on a half board basis with Thomson. The food was excellent apart from the Greek night which we rushed back from the Troodos Mountains for and wished we hadn't as the event was pretty poor and the musician at the end was appalling. However the Black and White night 'Sinatra' singer was very good.

The staff are pleasant and as I mentioned, the place is immaculate. We mainly stayed on the beach, which, of no fault on the hotels, was covered in cigarette butts, left by mindless smokers. Perhaps, ash trays should be provided for this disgusting habit, or better still, ban it in the hotel grounds altogether as the butts get into the sea and into the marine life.

We were, in our opinion, a little too close to the airport, with occasional aircraft either landing or taking off. I had thought this might be a problems before we booked and searched TripAdvisor and elsewhere, but found no mention of it, so maybe others did not find this an issue.

Overall though, it was nice to stay in a hotel with good facilities, pleasant staff, a very nice room with a comfortable bed. Well done!

My husband and I stayed here from 30th July until 13th August. During our visit to Paphos we got married at another venure. Thomson had made Pionner Beach aware of this and from the moment we arrived the hotel staff could not do enough for us. We were greeted with a cold flannel and a drink which was exactly what we needed. Check in was efficient and details and information were carefully shared with us. As we were getting married during our stay, Pioneer kindly upgraded our room from a mountain view to sea view. The room was great, beautiful views and excellent facilities. The hotel is quiet and a lot of the guests are older but this did not bother us. The pool area was clean and we could always find a sunbed. The Thomson reps worked hard to get holiday makers involved in the daytime activities. The evening entertainment wasn't the best and this is probably the only thing that lets this hotel down. The food in this hotel is amazing! So much choice and quality food at the buffet and the A La Carte choices were delicious. The hotel kindly offered us breakfast in bed and a candlelit meal after our wedding which was perfect with stunning views. We really enjoyed the choice of drinks offered on the all inclusive. Fantastic choice of cocktails and my husband was pleased that theu offered geuine Jack Daniels and not a house whiskey! The location of the hotel is good. The harbour is within walking distance or you can catch a bus outside for 1.50. Just to mention the staff who are all so smiley and helpful. They work long days and really give the hotel a good atmosphere. On the day of our wedding they were attentive and provided room servce for myself and my bridemaids as well as busckets of ice and chapagne glasses. A special mention to Claudia in the the restaurent who was delightful and greeted us every morning witha huge smile! I enjoyed a massage in the spa and would highly recommend. We would defnately visit Pionner Beach again.

Clean and quiet hotel with lovely pool area and lots of sunbeds - yeh!! Sea view was a little misleading...yes we could see the sea but our main view from the tiny balcony was the water park..balcony too small for a nice evening drink before dinner. Rooms were cleaned daily with beach towels provided which helped! Food was good...particularly the lovely salads and we had a fabulous flambe steak one night..although this was extra! On the downside the hotel is not 10 minutes from the harbour as stated in the brochure it's a good 45 minutes which was hard work in 40 degrees. Luckily lots of regular buses so we were able to go in and out as we pleased. Hotel 'closes' early though so if you like a late night drink (i.e. after 11.00) you need to go out and about. Overall had a lovely relaxing time and great memories of a fab holiday.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms at the side of the hotel have tiny balconies..see if you can get a beach / pool fa...
