Just returned from a week at this marvelous hotel, the staff were courteous and nothing was too much trouble, the manager Andreas is remarkable ( he is always on hand) I can honestly say I have never seen a hotel manager so visible to his guest,s. Anyone contemplating visiting Paphos have no hesitation on booking this. We loved it and would return any day.

This was our first trip to Cyprus and we decided to stay at the Louis King Jason because of the reviews on tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed. The staff was friendly, courteous, and had no qualms handling any request we asked of them. The pool area was clean and cool, the food was amazing (especially the Revani!) and the rooms were clean and comfy. There are 2 reasons I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5.

The first is that you have to pay for the wi-fi. For me that seems like a very outdated custom as I haven't had to pay for internet access at any other hotel I've stayed in at least 5 years, especially seeing as how most of the restaurants/cafes in town offered it for free. That said, you were also only limited to adding one device which slows down your research time on places to go and things to do.

The second reason... which is really a problem all over the island is that they didn't do anything about the stray cats when they came into the eating area while guests were eating their dinner indoors. Don't get me wrong, I love cats... I don't mind that they are around the hotel grounds... but they should have tried to shoo the cats outside of the main dining area while people were eating.

Dear guest,

We would like to thank you for visiting the Louis King Jason and for taking the time to write a review on Trip Advisor.

We are satisfied to read how much you appreciated the quality of the food, our pool area, our rooms, the level of our service and your overall experience with us. Regarding the cats, we make huge efforts to keep them away from dining areas and if you saw them in there, it is because they slipped away from us! We promise however to pay more attention in the future.

Thank you again and we look forward to hopefully having the pleasure of welcoming you very soon at one of our Louis Hotels!

Kind regards

I have this morning returned home having spent the last 7 nights at the King Jason.
I went on holiday with my wife and 15 year old daughter to celebrate our wedding anniversary having got married in Paphos 5 years ago. That time we stayed at The Elysium, and whilst The Elysium is fab, for a fraction of the price and having read the previous reviews we opted to stay at the King Jason and we were not disappointed in anyway.
We arrived at 12 midnight to find that we had been upgraded, the apartment was spotless and by far and away the best equipped self catering facility we have ever been to (although we had no intention to use any as we like to eat out!) and had a full oven microwave toaser, everything you could need. The balcony overlooked both the main pool and the new hydro contact pool and had the sun on it all afternoon.
The main pool area and the hydro contact pool were wonderful. Again they were spotless with plenty of sunbeds available. Cool towels, lemonade and cakes were brought around daily and even the offer to clean your sunglasses. This made you feel really special and was a really nice and thoughtful touch.
Whilst we booked self catering with the full intention to eat out and about each day, the quality of the food meant that we opted to take up the special offer of 3 nights half board - breakfast and dinner for three nights at 18 euros per person per night. The choice of foods and the quality was something quite exceptional. The omelettes at breakfast far exceed any other omelettes we have tasted at 5 star hotels in Jamaica and Mauritius, and the do it yourself salad in the evening was the nicest salad ever (who ever says that about a salad!) but it had every choice of salad you would wish for.
Finally, was really makes the King Jason stand out is the staff. From the maids to the pool guy to the reception, all were happy and pleasant, but the waiting on / bar staff were especially attentive always happy to have a chat getting to know us, us getting to know a bit about them.
Location wise, the hotel is on a residential road outside the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area but nonetheless only a 5 or 10 minute walk to the bars of Bar Street and 20 minute walk from the harbour. This suited us as we like a little walk of an evening.
My final comment is about Mr Andreas the general manager who was always out and about around the hotel ensuring the level of service was at the highest level but always taking time to make sure you are happy and having a good time. He took a special interest in my daughter, who at 15 isn't the easiest to please, making sure she was happy asking the chef to cook pasta on the Greek night. He mentioned he has two daughters just gone past that age and he knows what its like!
We all had a fantastic holiday and can't wait to revisit.

We recently booked to stay in a self catering apartment at the Louis King Jason. We were very excited after reading the comments on trip advisor. We booked the room through Bookings.com, then booked our flights separately. The day after we had booked, the hotel phoned us to say that they had to move us to another hotel as they were actually fully booked. They gave us the name of the hotel they wanted to move us to, and it got terrible reviews online, and was in the process of being refurbished and was only half open, and to make matters worse, it wasn't self-catering which we originally wanted. We didn't want to move to this hotel so cancelled our booking altogether.

A few days after cancelling we checked online and several websites were still taking bookings for Louis King Jason for the same week we had booked even though they were full (expedia, bookings.com etc etc). BE CAREFUL booking this place as we believe that they are trying their luck and trying to fill up a sister hotel nearby off the back off this hotel. Very naughty!!!

Dear guest,

Thank you for taking the time to express your feelings online regarding the Louis King Jason. We are saddened that your booking had to be cancelled due to the one-off overbooking situation our hotel has faced recently…with such excellent comments on Trip Advisor it is only normal that demand has recently exceeded supply of our bedrooms. Nevertheless we should be able to deal with this without overbooking guests but apparently, in this instance, we did not manage to do this efficiently. It was however a simple mistake, one for which we are deeply sorry, and one which we will hope to avoid in the future.

We would like to assure you that it was an honest mistake, and not an effort from us to 'fill a sister hotel' as you claim. We would never treat our guests with such contempt and anybody who has visited our hotel can give a testament to this.

Once again we apologize for letting you down and we would relish the opportunity to welcome you to the King Jason in the future, despite your obvious disappointment with us.

Regards

My husband and I stayed at the Louis King James from 19th - 26th May with our 18 year old son. On arrival we were given a warm welcome from Dimitri and a cool drink and cookies from Brian who then showed us to our apartment. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which had all the facilities for a self catering holiday and the balcony was large enough for two sun loungers, table and chairs. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and were extremely impressed by how fresh the breakfast food was given that it was buffet style. On request, Aree cooked the most wonderful omelettes and fried eggs most mornings for us. We ate dinner at the hotel only on one night of our stay which was typical Cypriot food and it turned out to be one of the best if not the best meal of the holiday (and for comparison we ate in The Seagull and Almond Tree during our stay). Evening dinner is served between 6.30 - 8.00pm - had it been served a little longer (say to 9pm) we would certainly have considered eating their most nights.

The pool areas were very clean, sunbeds abundant and very comfortable, Hydro pool wonderful. At the poolside we were offered towels to cool ourselves down, small taster drinks like melon juice etc, sunglass cleaning and drinks order. Later on in the afternoon there were tasters from their dinner menu which they were serving that night. My husband and son used the gym, which had all the necessary equipment for a good workout. Drinks at the bar were also very inexpensive, around ten Euros for a large beer, glass of wine and vodka and lemonade. The receptionist was also very helpful and pointed out a few places of interest to visit along the coast from Paphos to Limassol. When we mentioned we were driving to Nicosia, she recommended the archaeology museum, which was well worth a visit.

In our opinion apart from the great accommodation and food what makes this hotel exceptional is the staff. They are all very friendly and attentive and it was a pleasure to have stayed there. We have stayed in many timeshare complexes and hotels over the years but to date this has by far been one of the best.

Dear guest,

Let us thank you for staying at the King Jason and for writing your positive comment.

It is a pleasure for us to know that we could impress you with our hospitality from your first step at our hotel, that you liked our well equipped for self-catering apartment, with its large balcony. We are glad that our breakfast buffet amazed you with variety and live cooking stations, and that after trying the Cypriot night dinner buffet it turned out to be the best food you had during your whole stay. It is nice to know that you liked our outdoor facilities, drink offers at the pool and mid-day food trials, and that your husband and son took advantage of the hotel gym and found it good equipped for good workout. Our staff appreciate your words about the job they do, and glad that they were helpful through all your stay.

We hope to see you soon at the King Jason for another family holiday.

Best regards,

The Management.

Just returned. Wonderful experience. Never met such a high level of customer service from all staff. Accommodation is a very high spec, particularly the bathroom, which is an amenity often a disappointment in this part of the world. Can recommend the quality and variety of the food in the restaurant. The half board 3 day option is well worth it and doesn't tie you down to not going out to the odd Taverna here and there. Chap who attends the pool a great fella, comes around periodically with cold towels, lemonade and little desserts. WOW...the new Hydro Pool!! Absolute luxury and great experience. Best place to camp out around pool. Reception staff really helpful around my unusual car hire needs and also on advising on trips out. Thanks Maria. Yes, Andreas is really that charismatic and runs the complex with competence and good humour.

Cats are not a problem and will only come to you if encouraged, and of course natural vermin control - not a mouse to be seen.

Quite momentous events occurred for us while we were there, with myself retiring from the Police Service after 30 years and getting news that our daughter had become engaged. The great King Jason holiday experience just added to our natural sense of euphoria and was wonderful. Would recommend this highly and if we get the opportunity to go back to Cyprus in the future, this would be our first choice.

My husband and I spent five days here last month. After reading all the positive reviews thought we'd give it a go . It was faultless !!! We travel abroad a few times a year and have stayed in some fab 5 star hotels but this place surpassed them all. Customer service is second to none here. On arrival we were greeted with a smile, a cool drink and a cookie whilst swiftly being checked in. A very friendly member of staff then took our case and showed us into our room. Our apartment was superb. Beautiful brand new bathroom. Great shower. Very modern. Bedroom and bedding was beautiful. Great self catering kitchenette .

We had booked half board but weren't sure whether we had done the right thing as we usually enjoy eating out but the price when booking was so good we took the plunge. We needn't have worried - food was consistently superb. Lovely restaurant, great choice of food every night, always fresh, always hot and the staff are efficient, attentive and always pleasant. Breakfast was good too. Full choice of hot and cold every morning.

Pool area is good. Pool sparkling clean at all times. Sunbeds really good quality and comfy. Never had a problem getting beds and none of this reserving at daft o clock in the morning appeared to happen. Staff on hand around pool to order drinks if you want - again done with a smile!! Great new hydro pool that is luxury !! I didn't use the health centre downstairs but hubby used the gym and said it was good. Nice indoor pool in there too ! All free to guests.

On site small shop with all essentials and drinks, ice cream. Smiley staff in there too. Bar staff efficient- again always friendly with a smile for everyone. Reception staff were always on hand with information ... And a smile !!

As mentioned in most reviews one cannot leave a review without mentioning the manager Andreas. This man has the running of this complex off to a fine art. He is always around, spends each evening in the restaurant and ensures he speaks to everyone. He excels at what he does. He appears to lead his staff by example and it works !! This place is ran like a well oiled machine and you get the best possible holiday experience here .

If I had a negative about our five days here it would be the location of the Louis King Jason. The outside area is a little scruffy but hey - cant have everything. Would we stay again - definitely!!

Dear guest,

On behalf of the Louis King Jason we thank you for choosing our hotel as your holiday accommodation and for leaving a lovely review on Tripadvisor.

We are delighted to see that you spent a great time with us at our property, in particular that you much appreciated the facilities, the varied food on offer and its quality as well as our friendly, exceptional and professional staff members. Rest assured that your lovely words will be shared with those concerned. We are especially happy to hear of your comparison with top class hotels worldwide and we will keep doing our utmost to maintain our standards.

One word about Andreas, the Manager...this guy is just fantastic, running the property like his own and sharing this philosophy with all his staff. They eat, sleep, drink and dream about the King Jason and our company is lucky to have such excellent people behind its operations. We are honored to have them amongst us, and especially Andreas, despite the fact that he supports the wrong football team in England. But nobody is perfect right? :)

Thank you once again and we hope to welcome you again in one of our Louis Hotels!
