Just stayed here b&b for 2 weeks,

Everything was pretty much perfect!
Bus to harbour €1,enough places in walking distance. Hotel right on beach.
Fat mamas round up the road! Yummy!

Clean the pool abit more and bring a more modern feel to the rooms and this would be unbeatable IMO.

We would just like to say thank you to all those who took the time to review this accommodation!
We stayed for 2 weeks from 19th September 2012, my view is that the world is to large to return to the same place, but this place could make me change, it was fabulous.
Our room, number 650 was overlooking the sea in fact i don,t think you could get any closer with stunning views in particular of the sunset. The four poster bed was a totally unexpected and although the room was otherwise fairly basic, it had everything you could want and was always kept clean and tidy. We only stayed on B + B basis, found the breakfasts to be more than adequate and the staff throughout to be very helpful!
A return is a real possibility!!!! Thank you!

Room Tip: Rooms with a sea view a must - 650 very good!

From the second we arrived we were made to feel welcome. Check in was quick (were asked to get safe lock the following morning 16E for 10 nights) Jeff took us in the golf buggy to our room and showed us how to work the (free) air conditioning and the view from the balcony which was gorgeous even at night. The amount of equipment in the room is excellent. Hairdryer, 2 electric rings (can only use 1 at once), grill/oven, microwave, toaster, kettle. Plenty of cutlery, plates, pans etc. Probably the best self catering facilities we have ever had. Plugs are 3 pin so no need for travel adaptors. We suggest that you put the 'do not disturb sign' on the door every evening but remember to turn it round to 'please clean my room' as you leave so that the hard working, friendly cleaners can get in to do their work. A lot of the time when we had returned from breakfast they had been in and cleaned. The whole site is kept tidy and we found all the staff very friendly and helpful. I had asked Jeff for the wifi code one evening and when he passed us on the golf buggy a couple of days later he asked if I had managed ok (cheers Jeff). The buffet breakfast has plenty of choice so you can easily have a different combination every day to stop it getting boring. (Though I bet most people have the same breakfast at home everyday!)

We had no trouble with mosquitos. Most of the people speak English but have a go with a few Greek words! One of our waitresses actually came from Lithuania though.

The position of the hotel is perfect, close to Tomb of the Kings and the mosaics/harbour area. If you walk up to the main road there is a good bus service (615) to Coral Bay to the left and the harbour to the right which has a little bus station with connecting buses to other locations but we didn't use them. (1E per trip or 3E for day rider we were told) We preferred to walk (25 mins to harbour by road, slightly longer but more scenic on the coastal path but it isn't lit on a night sadly)

Overall a really lovely relaxing place to stay and would definitely come back (we rarely say that) but would hire a car to be able to explore the island more thoroughly. Thanks to Elena and all the staff for a fantastic holdiay!

Room Tip: We were in room 643 (ground floor studio) and we found it a good position, away from pool/pool bar n...

We stayed here in September 2011 on a bed & breakfast basis & when we fist arrived we were given an apartment above the shop which we weren't impressed with as the balcony was not private enough for us, so we complained & we moved into a better apartment which didn't have much of a view from the balcony but it felt more private than what we originally had (we were overlooking the car park. However everything else was wonderful the apartment was very spacious & air con free which when you have temperatures of 30 degrees is a god send. The breakfast however was a bit repetitive but it was already paid for so we weren't going to go elsewhere. Kefalos beach is as the name suggests right on the beach & it was nice to sit sipping a cocktail watching the sunset. There is a small shop on site & also a Launderette. The grounds are well maintained & very clean & there is also a small chapel on site
The hotel is set back from the Tomb of the kings road & bus stop which is also on the Tomb of the Kings Road.
Plenty of restaurants, bars etc along the Tomb of Kings Road our faves were Fat Mamma's (huge portions & good entertainment), Tea for two (taste of home food & not too badly priced) & also try Romantica Restaurant (tasty food) this is located in the Kato Paphos area just past the Alexander the Great hotel.
Paphos is a clean resort & is very extensive plenty of shops, history for everyone. We visited the Paphos mosaics & also the Tomb of the Kings. I would suggest car hire essential in Cyprus as there is so much to see & do, we also visited Aphrodites rock, Limassol, Nicossia, Lefkara (lace village), Protaras & Troodos Mountain. Also by bus we went to visit Coral Bay. We went on an organised tour to Famagusta old village & Salamis - really recommend this trip so beautiful but sad as well when you see the old village left exactly as it was when it was occupied, Salamis really extensive & we wished we had more time to look around. The Turkish north isn't as developed as the Cypriot south but we found the north of the island more interesting for that reason, food mouth watering & we only had snack food of burger & a toastie , followed by ice cream but they were delicious. We hope to go back to Cyprus one day but may try Protaras for a change as it's quite cheap here any cocktails for 2 euro & food cheap too.

Just got back from 2 week hol at Kefalos beach village and have to say that it lived up to its previous excellent reviews. Firstly checking in at reception and buggy ride to room was easy and staff members very friendly. Studio room was spacious, well equipped and very clean and air con was excellent. Breakfast had a varied choice so you could have something different every day and was excellent quality and catering staff were very friendly. Drinks and food at the pool bar were very good value and area very clean. My best comments must be kept for the entertainment team of AJ, livvy, ricco and sophie who were absolutely superb and made you feel very special. Daytime activities were varied and free and you were not pressurised into participating. I personally loved the activities especially archery except the fact I came second 7 times in a row!! Evening entertainment from the team was also very good and varied and again they came around personally to have a chat and made you feel special. Well done AJ and the team, a credit to the hotel. I'll be back next year to win the archery AJ so you better be ready. Right, now onto places to eat. Our favourite restaurant by far was a wonderful Italian restaurant called Duomo which we visited 5 times in two weeks. Food and customer service was superb and excellent value. It is situated opposite o'neills. Also excellent is a Chinese restaurant called Chloe's who serve chocolate spring rolls for desert! Can't wait to stay at kefalos again next year. Thanks again AJ.

Room Tip: Sea view room would be value.

Before we left to go to this hotel we read virtually all the reviews on here. Believe us when we tell you that as far as we're concerned, all the fantastic reviews are true!
from the moment we got there we knew it was going to be a special honeymoon. We were taken to our honeymoon suite by the lovely Jeff who we had many chats with, what a nice guy. We were greeted by a bottle of wine and a basket of fruit.
The view from our seaview room the next morning was stunning, and it is true the sunsets are very beautiful and well worth the extra money.
ALL the staff work so hard, and are so friendly. the place is absolutely spotless due to the maintenance staff and cleaners who seem to work all hours.
Can't speak for the food in the restaurant as we didn't use it , but the snack bar food was lovely and plenty of it. We went to the fish restaurant and the good was delicious and a lovely setting.
Reception staff were very helpful with any inquiries we had, even helping us technology illiterates to sort out our wi-fi!!( thanks Sophie) so that we could look at our wedding photos from home on facebook.
The pool was such a welcome cool down from the sunbathing, and was a great size. Towels were very handy, and there were always sunbeds available, must be the time of year!
We also enjoyed it on the sunbeds on the grass area as it was peaceful, with the sound of the sea, and the breeze was welcoming.
The entertainment staff did plenty of activities if you wanted them but didn't make you feel you had to. A.J and the girls worked hard and seemed to be there all hours of the day.
PLACES TO EAT- Karlinas, great food, great staff, great atmosphere.( mezze was amazing, and very large, couldn't believe they kept bringing more out!!) apple cake-yum!!
Farmhouse tavern- same as above . both places were always busy but made you very welcome and remembered us (we did visit a few times!) try the lamb kleftico, melts in your mouth.
needless to say, it's a diet for us now!!lol
DAYS OUT- Georges funbus!! amazing day, definately one to remember!
Wavedancer pleasure cruise (book at harbour, cheaper) good day out, nice food, good music, very clean, relaxing day.
walk to the harbour took about 35mins, buses always running( always very busy) but are air conditioned and didn't take long. Taxis 8 euros back from the harbour.
We could go on and on about how wonderful this holiday was for us, we will definately be returning in the future.
Thank-you kefalos for making our honeymoon one we will never forget!!
