“Wedding @ The Kefalos”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

We used the Kefalos hotel for our wedding on the 25th July 2014. Elena was amazing, nothing was to much trouble, completely dedicated and she arranged everything perfectly. Our ceremony was held in the beachside gazebo which was beautifully decorated with red carpet, lanterns and chair covers with bows to match my bridesmaids. Elena and Vasilas made sure our day was perfect. We brought our iPod to play music we had chosen for our ceremony which was played through their sound system and we again used this later on for background music whilst having our recepetion meal. The reception meal was also held under the gazebo, the table was all beautifully set up whilst we were having our photographs taken. We had champagne and the cutting of the cake before our sunset photographs and the Kefalos could not have been a better place to take them, with their fantastic grounds, beach and rocks. After sunset we enjoyed our 4 course meal, the food and wine were of a very high quality and presented beautifully. The staff were superb, caring, very attentive and we loved the privacy the gazebo gave us. I cannot not say enough "thank you's" to Elena and all of the staff, they made our day so special and simply PERFECT :-) Xx Thank you x

We made a late booking at Kefalos Beach Tourist Village through Thomson, and were delighted with our choice. The hotel staff were excellent very helpful with any questions we had. Even when our air conditioning broke down and we reported the matter again everyone involved in getting it fixed were fantastic in resolving the matter as quickly as possible, even though they had to install a complete new unit. The pool was lovely clean and warm and was never too full, when the kids had enough of the pool the sea was just a couple of yards away so kids had fun playing there instead. There was always plenty of food at mealtimes with a Wide variety of dishes, we were never left hungry or disappointed (except in the desert department seemed to be very similar every night, would have been nice to hhave desert that complimented the main menu). The evening entertainment was enjoyable with a good mixture of acts, and the entertainment team kept us amused. The hotel/apartments were close to the main road so in easy reach of the local bus, which we had great fun hopping on and off as often as we liked fo €5 a day.

All in all we had a lovely 10 days holiday and would fully recommend Kefalos Village for families to spend their time.

We have just returned from Our 2nd visit to Kefalos beach village. We were a bit apprehensive that our memories of our trip 3 years previous were a bit romanticised. From the minute we got off the bus and walked into the lobby to check in we realised it was going to be as good as the last time. We were in a slightly different part of the resort this time and a ground floor apartment, which did mean we had the odd creepy crawly visitor, but that is only to be expected.
We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of 'familiar' faces in the staff. Nice to see that.
Apartments were clean and comfortable- thank goodness for air con! The resort as a whole is impeccably clean and tidy.
We spent a lot of time by the pool, didn't choose to do any of the entertainment provided, was entertainment enough watching some of the other guests taking part. Water polo is not for the faint hearted.
Reception staff were helpful and knowledgable about local services.
We were bed and breakfast- breakfast was amazing, anything you could think of was available. Continental, full English, breads, cereals, fruits, toast, pastries. You could literally have something different or just have a full cooked breakfast, as my hubby did, everyday.
We chose to eat out in the evenings rather than use the restaurant, but the menus for that night were always displayed at breakfast time and there was a wide variety offered.
You must, at least once see a sunset, photos do not do it justice. Amazing!!
We are already saving up for our next visit.

This hotel was superb. Despite being family-orientated, my boyfriend and I felt it still catered to our tastes as well. We went half-board and enjoyed a different buffet to choose from every night of the week we stayed, unlike most other places where it's much the same. The hotel staff were very helpful and even planned a few trips for us, complete with bus numbers. The hotel is also closely situated to paphos harbour and the main archaeological attractions. We would definitely stay again.

This was our first time in Cyprus, the hotel was great. the staff were great they all speak English the organised tours were good we enjoyed every moment we highly recommend this hotel and paphos. It was not too far too walk to the shops and the buses were easy to use and very cheap, the bus drivers were very helpful , the harbour was walking distance and very enjoyable to browse the shops and restaurants and the sea views on the walk was just lovely, also a nice beach bar on route to stop and have a cool drink half way.

Room Tip: rooms with pool view are noisey

We booked this hotel as it met our needs and the reviews were generally very good. The hotel itself is fantastic. Our room was spotless and the grounds were well kept and very well landscaped. The pool area was of the same standard and overall you could not ask for much more. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating and, on the occasions we ate at the hotel, the food was good. The downside is twofold. Firstly this is a very rocky coastline with an abundance of dead Kelp and Rip currents. If you like to play with your kids in the sea this is not the place for you. Secondly this hotel has fallen victim to the naff holiday entertainment scene in a big way. The chief entertainments officer bellows down his microphone day and night and if you fancy reading a book on your balcony of an evening you’d best take earplugs. When he takes a break he is replaced by blaring music you can hear ½ a mile away. Bingo and karaoke are also favourites and you might be lucky enough to hear some little “darlings” rendition of Katie Perry’s “Roar” around midnight. Of course there are people who enjoy all this, but not us. We won’t be going back for the above reasons and I think it’s a shame that the “entertainment” is so intrusive. Luckily we go on holiday to explore and as such had only booked bed and breakfast. We found some fantastic spots on the island and will be returning next year.

Room Tip: Sea view as far away from the pool as possible
