We returned to Kefalos Beach Tourist Village to celebrate our Ruby anniversary and it hasn't changed a bit. It is still a lovely place. As soon as we got to our room and opened the shutters my wife jumped up and down ( haven't seen her that excited for years ). We paid extra for a sea view and if you can get a beach side appartment it is worth it.
We were self catering but you can upgrade to B&B or half board if desired. The best value for money place to eat in the area is Table for Two, situated in Tomb of the Kings Road, especially if you have kids but beware, the meals are enormous.
The studio rooms are a good size and the maid service is 6 times a week.
The evening entertaiment is better than most hotels and good fun.
We wouldn't hesitate about returning but do not go July and August unless you like it really hot.

Sarah and Myself were Married in Paphos in March 2010. For any Bride and Groom considering getting married in Cyprus, we can't recommend highly enough selecting the wonderfully relaxed Kefalos Beach Hotel to host your big day. Elena and her management team certainly go the extra mile. Special requests were all agreed to and carried out with no stress at all. From last minute emergency wine tasting, flexibility in allowing us to select our preferred reception location in the hotel and all their help staging an impromptu Mama Mia themed hen night.

On our day the hotel was the perfect backdrop for all the amazing photographs and we had our reception on the veranda overlooking the pool which was just stunning. Our reception was topped off with an amazing selection of food from the incredible gourmet buffet before we ended the day having great fun with our wedding party singing Karaoke into the night. What a brilliant day.

Thanks once again to Elena and all her team for making our day so relaxed and special.

Our expectations were probably raised too high by the reviews we read - Positives are that this is a clean, well-maintained site, with roomy if functional accomodation, close to restaurants, and a pleasant walk (30-35 min) along coastal path to the main harbour. But it is clearly oriented to (young) families: small beds with plastic mattress covers, a busy pool, and the very tiny piece of sandy 'beach' is really only suitable for young kids (the rest is craggy rocks and seaweed). The beachfront rooms have a lovely view, and do not suffer from the noisy maintenance and delivery activities that start very early in the morning. As a couple we would choose for a nice hotel for the same money next time, but with small children a resort like Kefalos would be a good choice (and even better with a beachfront room).

The bad thing with this hotel personally was the food. It was very overpriced so we didn't eat in the restaurant at all. This wasn't at all a problem though as we made our way through the many restaurants in the area. It is also quite a way from most places, but so are all the other hotels - tourist spots in Paphos appeared to be very spread out.
Having said this, the staff were some of the politest I have ever encountered, the beds were fantastically comfy (the waterproof sheet underneath was a bit irritating but necessary). There was more than enough parking close to every room for those who rented a car (we did - well worth it). Our room had it's own kitchen and balcony and from what I could see, so did all the other rooms. The private beach was the best part of it for me - so good I didn't even consider the large clean pool. The sea breeze came in to soft sand and there was an adventure company (doing things such as jet skiing etc.) just off to one side, the owners of which were amazing. The hotel was very clean and very very accommodating and I feel was brilliant value for money.

We stayed at Kefalos Beach Tourist Village and were absolutely amazed by every single aspect of this hotel, from the A1 Service provided by every member of the hotel staff from maids to hotel management , pool was amazing and very clean and always had avaliable sunbeds. The entertainment staff were exceptional , they really took a interest in you and what was going on and made everyone very welcome. The bar staff where very attentive and also had the nothing is too much attitude, supermarket was really good and quite cheap and so was the food in the two restaurants it was also of a very high standard and really good value, we will be back in october and are counting down the days already !!!!!
