“A brilliant holiday and gorgeous wedding!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2010

I recently stayed at the Kefalos Beach (for the second time in just over a year) with my family for my sister's wedding. As a holiday itself we had a brilliant time, the Kefalos just has everything you could want.... lovely breakfasts, helpful staff, sunbathing on the beach and by the pool, well equipped rooms, child friendly, not to mention the amazing sunsets!! The wedding reception was held in a sectioned off part of the pool bar and the evening was perfect. It was so relaxed and a very personal experience, with all of the staff (including the owner) ensuring we had the best time possible. We really could not have asked for more and I don't think I would stay anywhere else in Cyprus!

We had our wedding reception at the Kefalos Beach on the 31/05/10. The service leading up to our day and on the day was outstanding. Elena was fantastic leading up to the wedding and responded to my emails very quickly. On the morning of the wedding I explained to Nicky what I wanted (table decorations) and when we arrived it was exactly how I pictured it. We had our reception on the outside theatre area just metres from the beach..... it was perfect. The sunset was amazing. I would like to stay a big thank you to Elena, Nicky and everyone at the Kefalos for making our day so special. Lisa & David Emmerson x

We have just returned after a weeks stay at this resort. initially we were in two rooms near the kitchens, but after 2 nights of being woken up at 5am by the noisy binmen we asked for room changes, I have to say they did move us quite swiftly. I did feel that the original rooms we were allocated would receive plenty complaints and that is why we were moved.!!!!
The place is immaculate, staff mostly friendly....
The location is superb but beware access into the sea is not as easy as it looks!!!
You can walk to the harbour (lovely walk)
Meals were buffet and we (two mums and 2 teenage girls) ate quite well, we had breakfast and evening meal.
Would recommend but not if you into swimming in the sea!!!

booked because of the other thing's i'd read on here & affordable price. we up-graded to sea view & was self catering just because we find set times for eating a bit restricting & i like a few amienities. the thing's i loved :-we asked for double bed & got one, :-the view was amazing, :-it was quiet, no kids running up & down noisy corridor's keeping u awake, :-it was clean, :-we was able to keep our room right up until taxi for flight home came 8pm cost 6euro's an hour for extra room time but sooooo worth it, :-air con was ultra modern remote control & facing the bed for cool night's sleep, :-reception staff was very efficiant.
can't comment really on the food or kid's stuff , but duomo's restraunt (follow road left out of hotel just at the top) did three courses for 13euro's & it was gorgeous!

We have just returned from our second stay at kefalos beach and again it exceeded our expectations, quick and easy check in unfortunately the golf buggy wasnt on hand that night but a very helpful security man insisted on escorting us to our door and wheeling my case for me. Again the room was immaculate, the towels shaped as swans a lovely touch to greet you!
The rooms are so well equiped and I would imagine it would be quite easy to cook meals should you want to, there are ample utensils, microwave, mini oven with grill, kettle and toaster.
Upgrading to a sea view is well worth it to be able sit on the balcony to have breakfast or watch the sunset with a glass of wine.
We didnt eat in the hotel so cant comment but we did eat a couple of times at the pool bar excellent food, huge portions and reasonable prices.
The hotel has developed the beach front quite extensively since last year and is very tastefuly done, a lovely little sandy beach with one little pebble free mini beach for the little ones. A lot of the developments appear to be for the growing wedding industry.
Whilst we were there we saw 8 beautiful weddings the care and attention the wedding staff go to was outstanding I wathched them making preparations from my sundbed and was very impressed! Take your tissues if you get emotional watching weddings!
Our thomas cook rep Heather was very efficient when asked to book us a hire car many thanks to her! we managed to drag our selves from our sunloungers for a couple of days to explore the island at leisure.
The pool area looked lively for families and those who didnt need the pools had the lawns leading to the beach to relax on always lots of loungers and brollies and some on the beach now
We would return every year if there werent other places that we need to see and wouldnt hesitate to recomend Kefalos beach

Once again we returned to Kefalos beach for a consistently high quality holiday! This time with elderly relatives who we had booked to stay a week longer than my husband and I. From reception staff to restaurant staff the stay was faultless and ensured that we all had a brilliant time once again! Knowing that the hotel will ensure every guest is looked after we were confident that the realtives who were staying on would enjoy another week of paradise independent of us.

Restaurant food both good quality and plentiful and the gourmet night and BBQ nights were great.

This was our seventh year of coming to this hotel and every year we see improvements with extra facilities, beautiful walkways and superbly maintained gardens but the relaxing nature of the hotel is never compromised. The layout of the hotel ensures that all areas are accessible by ramps with stairs kept to an absolute minimum making it easy for those with mobility issues to get around.

I guess what we're syaing is that we'll definitely be going back AGAIN and that the relatives we travelled with (who were exceptionally impressed by the cleanliness and service) are definitely Kefalos Beach converts and they can't wait to go back either! In fact they were sorry to leave at all.
