Average attraction. No actual kings were buried here, so title is very misleading. Worth a short visit. 1 hour max.

Site very large and some walking over fairly rough terrain so probably not so good for disabled or young children. Bus stops right outside entrance and entry is only 2.50 euro. We arrived there just after 9am on sunday11 May. Found this a good time to visit as only a few people there early morning( site opens 8.30 seven days a week), and temperature is ok. Can imagine the heat in mid summer as very warm inside the tombs. Steep steps into some of the tombs and as there are thousands of visitors year some of the steps are a bit slippery. Well worth stepping back in time for a hour or so.

Amazing rocks and carved caves on this headland, on which the wealthy Pafiots built their necropolis. With echoes of Egypt in thinking about their afterlife, this is the place that said they really had been somebody when living. Brilliant.

Don't miss these underground tombs. The site is huge and very interesting. Don't forget your camera!
