“ALL I CAN SAY IS FABULOUS AND WE WILL RETURN !!!”
Reviewed 9 June 2011

This was our first stay at a Holiday Village my partner me and our two kids 9 and 5 and we will certainly return, loved every minute of the holiday, our only complaint is that 7 days was not long enough we all fancied staying that ltlle bit longer. The Entertainment Team were FAB they worked very hard. Food was always good and rooms were cleaned and tidied everyday. We Stayed in the Agean Village in a standard room (which was good) right near the pool by reception and this is where we stayed most the day it is the hottest and emptiiest pool by far (even though you have two other pools and a waterpark). The Staff were always friendly and spoke very good English. There are a strip of restuarants and bars that are associated with the Holiday Village that you also get discount, and as supermarket on site.

Stayed for a week end of may with family. The apartments were good we stayed in the old part was a bit worried from what past reviews but they were fine spacious my only personal complaint was the bed wasn't comfortable and having to pay an adults price for a child who had to sleep on a sofa bed.
There are lots of swimming pools to chose from and pool bars which helped break up the day.
The only thing which was disappointing was the entertainment room which was more like a big cow shed and because of this the entertainment team who were really good u couldn't hear them properly and the surroundings werent comfortable whereas the bar next door was lovely.
It was overall a good holiday destination especially with little kids not so much teenagers but it's right by the water park and go karting.

Just back from a brilliant week at the Aliathon holiday village. Felt I should just write a quick something to all those people booked to stay in the agean side of the village, who are panicking as I was two weeks ago. We stayed in a superior one bedroom there and it was absolutely fine. The room was very clean and everything looked pretty new. Yes, a bit of a walk to the main pool but nothing major! Was really nice to come back to a quieter area with the pool just outside the door. My kids are 7 and 4 and they certainly had no complaints.
We tried to stick a DVD on for kids before they went to bed one evening and the scart lead was missing. Phoned reception and it was sorted within 15 minutes. Really cannot fault staff there at all.
Finally, a quick mention to the kids club reps. They were fantastic. Their enthusiasm for their job just astounds me. They knew all the kids names and would always say hi to them even if they were off duty. Both kids fell in love with stinky Steve and smelly Sam. So guys, if you're reading this, thanks for making their holiday and allowing us some much appreciated peace and quiet.
My only criticism, and it is a small one, is that the music around the main pool was a bit loud. Made it hard to concentrate on a book but if the children were old enough and competent in the water, you could always move to the adult only side of the pool.
All in all, can't wait to go back next year.

Having not been to a First Choice holiday village before we didnt know what to expect and initially had booked self catering (18 May) in order to get out and about and sample the local foods. Within a couple of days we upgraded to AI as were impressed with the food selection and also based on the distance we were from Paphos harbour thought better of it with 2 boys under 5. Weather is great this time of year, not too hot for the little ones.
We booked a kids suite in the Fishing Village which was great (apart from the fridge noise in the night!!) boys were never out of the pools (splash pool with slides/pirate ship and the other main pool) which were literally just outside our room, kids club was used afew times and our 4 year old had a great time making new friends and the reps made an effort to say hi to the boys throughout our stay and they loved joining in the 'shake shake' and 'choc-oh-lattay' songs/actions poolside each day with the reps.
Entertainment wise in the evening it was a bit hit and miss, if I compare it to a Thomson holiday experience I think the team could have got the kids more involved / up on stage as our 2 were bored while the shows/quizzes/bingo were on and would rather run about/play on the arcade games which made having a relaxing drink fairly challenging!
Overally this is probably one of the best family resorts we have been to with regard to the facilities, cleanliness, room size, food options and quality and also there is an adults only pool/bar so its not just full of families with their kids running around.
One downside was the distance to Paphos however, the bus outside was 1 Euro each and to be honest with 2 young children we only ventured in once as they were desperate to be back at the pool!
We are already looking at prices for next year, lets hope the evening entertainment has improved!

We stayed in the newer fishing village area next to the kids pool. Accomodation in the fishing village was lovely, no complaints at all. Very clean, modern and spacious. Our friends stayed in the Aegean village and their rooms were also fine but not quite as modern, and a little further away from the main pool and kids pool. Although, it was nice to go to the pools in the aegean village for the odd quiet day. So in my opinion, either village is good to go to.
The buffet meals were good, with a large selection of salads, mains and desserts. Plenty of tables too, so you're not fighting for a space.
Kids pool was excellent and there were loads of activities to keep them amused. We also used the crèche for a couple of hours on the morning of our friends' wedding so we could get ready. This is the first time we had left our 2 year old with "strangers" and we were a bit worried but he didn't want to leave when we picked him up!
All in all, a fabulous holiday and would recommend this to families.

After reading previous reviews we were concerned because we were booked in the older part of the complex, we had also planned our wedding with first choice and on arrival we were upgraded to the fishing village, we had two friends and their 18month old with us as our friends were our witnesses, we had a two bedroom apartment with a large terrace, it was clean although the settee had a few stains but quite honestly for the amount of children they have going through all the time we were not surprised, everything else was kept spotless by the maids that came in daily to clean and change towels, they are all very pleasant and would come back later if you wanted, when they washed the floors we tried to be out because our friends little one kept slipping over lol
Our apartment overlooked the pool and lighthouse, the pool was lovely and clean. Our friends little girl was used to sleeping in a bed and not a cot so we asked if it could be changed and they did that with no problem, we also asked if we could change our friends single beds for a double and they did that with no problem at all. On our wedding day the maid delivered a basket of fruit and a bottle of sparkling wine, a very nice gesture! I suppose the only real downside was that it was a bit of a walk to Paphos Harbour but we had hired a car so it was'nt a problem for us. We chose this complex because it has a play park etc for children but it is not the sort of place we usually stay at but having said that I would not hesitate going again, we did walk over to the older side of the complex and it all looked clean...just older. There were a lot of weddings while we we were there and it was'nt unusual to see a bride and groom. We did'nt use the entertainment but what we saw as we were walking by was'nt great lol
We had a great wedding day and our first choice wedding plannner Sandra was excellent, we would recommend her. Oh the supermarket on the site was rather expensive and you can find cheaper ones in Paphos, the little cafe next to the shop was quite reasonably priced (we went self catering) There is a little track that goes down to the beach opposite the shop on the otherside of the road, you can also walk along the seafront.
