I have to start my review by saying how impressed I was with the resort, it was clean the rooms were great for all the family and the staff were so friendly. However the food was by far the lowest standard of food that I have ever tasted, the meat was fatty and grisly there was very little choice and what choice there was, was clearly the leftovers from the previous day. If you are used to a very poor diet with no variety and are someone who thinks a nice meal out is popping to your local McDonald's then this would be fine for you. However if like us you like. Reasonable quality of food then this will not be for you. We would return to the resort if we could do it as a room only and eat out every night (we did eat out 5 of our 7 night stay anyway).
It's a real shame because it has made us realise that all inclusive is not for us, and in future we will go room only somewhere so that we can sample some of the great local food rather than the low grade mass catered sometime edible food of this resort

I'll keep it brief, but first and foremost, how anyone can moan about the food here is beyond me! There is a review below that slates the food here, well, I am fussy and managed to eat perfectly well(in fact too well) at EVERY meal time. Breakfast is perfectly adequate, lunch excellent and evening meals superb, considering they are catering on mass. There was plenty of variety and something different every night. They also put on theme nights, including Chinese and to try and keep the brits happy, roast beef on Sunday!!!. There was always a selection of meats, salad, pasta etc etc and always a super selection of desserts. These moaners need to get real as I really dont know what they expect. If you're worried about the food don't be, its fine. If you are THAT fussy, stay somewhere thats room only and then go out to eat, maybe in Paris or something.

Pool bar service great and paul always had a smile on his face. You may wait for a moment, but whos stressing about that? We are all on holiday whats the rush?

Kids facilities and kids club OUTSTANDING , first choice team FANTASTIC, our kids loved it. They are UK staffed and VERY secure. Evening entertainment a bit dodgy, but its aimed at kids so what else would you expect? If you want theatre and musicals then go to New York :)

Hotel staff very good, our daughter was sick whilst away and they were very helpful and even followed up 3 days later just to see how she was. (was appreciated georgie)

ONE MAIN CRITICISM - Cleaners ans staff start making a noise far too early. The little van is running around dilvering linen etc at 6AM which regularly woke us up. The mechanical floor cleaner started jet cleaning the paths before 7AM and the room cleaners were chattering and pushing trolleys around at 7AM. Not good and really tainted otherwise what was a brilliant holiday overall.

OOH, one other point, people moan about the germans leaving towels out early, well the Brits have learnt well, no space by 9AM at the pirate pool with reserved beds BUT the majority not utilised until lunchtime if at all.We were that all day and i counted a good 30 places with towels and no one using them all day.

I SUGGEST THE HOTEL IMPOSE A NON RESERVATION OF BEDS POLICY BEFORE SAY 10AM AND ACTUALLY ENFORCE IT.

Room Tip: stay off the main walkway from the Agean village to the fishing village as its noisy in the mornings...

I absolutely love this place. I have been twice now with 2 children age 3 and 6.

This is my only gripe and I feel I must post this because it's the deal breaker that prevented me rebooking for this year. Our evenings were spoilt the second time because once our children discovered the arcade area in the evening and made friends they weren't interested in the entertainment. This also spoilt it for us because we couldn't leave them round there unsupervised so we would take turns in the arcade too so they weren't alone. This was disappointing not to mention expensive as each game is 1 euro. I don't think we were the only family who felt this way and I felt sorry for the reps putting on a show with no kids watching because they were having a better time in the room next door. I've spoken to other families who have visited other villages, and they said this isn't a problem anywhere else.

Apart from this, I would recommend the aliathon to anyone. It's clean, beautifully maintained , the food is so good and my children love it here. One of them commented they feel like they are dreaming because they were having such a good time.

If the arcade was moved to another location away from the entertainment and the sound system improved I think you would be on your way to hitting 5 stars on the trip advisor reviews .

Had a great family holiday with our 2 year old daughter. Check in and out were extremely efficient. Stayed in the fishing village right by the splash pool. Room was spotless and was cleaned every day. Kitchenette came in handy, especially the fridge. Staff were all very friendly and attentive and our little one loved the creche.

Managed to use the spa a couple of times while the little one was in creche, the gym was a fairly decent size and although not fantastic, the equipment was sufficient for a good work out. The steam room and sauna were very pleasant and the whole area was very clean.

Food was pretty good with plenty of variety, obviously being a buffet, it's not amazing but there was always something for everyone. We didn't eat at the Mexican - why go to Cyprus for Mexican food? We did enjoy the Greek meal we had - the food and beverage manager told us to go for the kleftico and it was good. We'd echo most of the other positive comments people have made.

Our one real gripe was with the arcade area. It really should be properly separated from the entertainment area as it is just a thundering nuisance to chase your toddler around it all the time.

Great place to have a holiday, we upgraded room which had super king bed and TV in bedroom, excellent shower room, large kitchenette and living room with satellite TV and DVD player, balcony was huge and had sun all afternoon and evening. We stayed in aegan village which is older section but very modern and clean. Food excellent, dress code very poor with people in swimming gear for evening meal?. Only small fault was Mexican restaurant is marked on all sign boards as in main restaurant complex when it is outside front of complex in rank of shops, pharmacy and pubs/restaurants. Buses to pathos are frequent and cheap, buy a day ticket for five euros and you can travel anywhere for little money

We are leaving the Aliathon Holiday village tomorrow after a 7 night stay. 20 minutes from the airport and we were the only drop off so that was good.

Check in on arrival went very smoothly. It's 21 euros a week to use the safe in the room (so it'll save you a trip back to reception if you get your safe key on check in). Our cases were taken to our room by a porter which was nice. We have a room in the Aegean Village. It's modern & clean although I think if we came again, we'd probably upgrade to a room in the Fisherman's Village part of the complex which is closer to the main pools (there are however two pools in the Aegean Village part of the complex which are much quieter if that's what you prefer).

There is a good choice of food at mealtimes in the main restaurant - and there is a different theme every night (Greek, Italian, Middle Eastern, carvery on a Sunday...) and you should definitely be able to find something you like. It does get busy at peak times, so if like us you need a high chair, try to avoid the peak times. We haven't tried a meal in one of the other restaurants on site, so can't really comment on those.

The pools are freezing early season - DEFINITELY buy wetsuits for the children. We got ours from Decathalon and it was £15 well spent. The children's pool is great fun - my 2 year old loved the slides. Head down early to get sunbeds (not 6am early - but before 10am). Pool area and the rest of the grounds are beautiful and very we'll kept.

The path to the small beach is opposite the hotel entrance down the side of the Louis Ledra hotel. The path then runs all along the beach to Kato Paphos where the harbour is - it's a nice 20 - 30 minute walk to Kato Paphos depending on how fast you are!! Don't bother with the castle - not at all worth the 5 euro entrance fee.

Worth asking to extend your room on the day you leave - it's 40 euros to keep your room until 3, and 50 euros until 6 - so just budget that in.

Only real complaint about the entertainment area is that the arcade games are in the main room where the evening entertainment is. That's a real pain when you have young children - all they want to do is play the games (which are 1 euro a go). In the end we had to stop going in there! They should be in a separate room with a door that closes!

Staff are excellent - Alex who works behind the bar is fantastic and makes a real effort with the guests.

All in all a very good place to stay if you have children. We paid £1500 for a week all inclusive and we got what we paid for.

After arriving 8 hours late due to our flight having to turn back half way to Cyprus, we were checked in quickly and taken to our room by golf buggy. As we missed the first evenings meal, the hotel left sandwiches and drinks in our room.
We stayed in the fishing village and it's stunning, such a nice looking part of the complex. Our room was huge, with separate living area with TV and DVD player, microwave, fridge and all the usual kitchen bits you need. Plugs in Cyprus are the same as the UK so no need to take adapters. Safe in the room was 3 euros a day.
The kids pool area was amazing, we never struggled to get 3 sun beds together though the water in all of the 4 swimming pools is freezing but we still went in. The pool near the lighthouse is massive and there is an adults only section on the opposite side. Towels are provided and can be swapped daily for fresh ones. The complex as a whole is spotless.
The first choice team are excellent and although our daughter didn't want to go to any of the kids clubs everyone we spoke to rated them very highly. The evening entertainment is good for kids and there's always something going on.
There's a supermarket on-site, a small church, spa, and bars, restaurants and shops just outside and the hotel provide info on buses which run from outside the hotel.
The only negative we found was the food which compared to other HV,s was not great. Breakfast was good, lunch is limited and a bit basic. Evening meals are buffet style with a different theme each night. I'm a bit fussy but always found something. Also dress for the restaurant is a complete mixed bag, was expecting to have to wear trousers in the evening but this was not the case...
Overall a great holiday, upgrade to stay in the fishing village as you won't be disappointed.
