“Best holiday ever!”
Reviewed 10 October 2010

We stayed in the Deluxe Studio in the Fishing Village. Rooms were well above standard and extremely comfortable, and well equiped with all cooking facilities and air con. Daytime entertainment catered for both children and adults. Holiday reps were very friendly. Staff at accomodation were friendly and approachable.
We stayed on an all inclusive basis, so many varieties of food that you could eat something different each day. Would recommend booking in at the mexican restuarant. Food was cooked to order and was so nice.
Would def recommend this resort for both adults and families with children.

You will not be dissapointed with this hotel - we staued in the gishing village the rooms were perfect, others in our group (of 28 people age ranging from 5 months -69 years!) stayed in the aegean village - no one had any complaints!
The pools, restaurants & entertainment teams are all fantastic! We couls not complian about anything!
No flies , midges rats / vermin - clean, friendly, so much food & drink to choose from, the first choice staff for kid's (&adults) were fab!
Truely the best holiday we have all been on for fun sun food & entertainment!
Our wedding was also amazing - the staff - especially Michalis were exceptionally good, helpful & made our day / evening go amazingly - everything was decorated beautifully - we could not have asked for more- even the DJ they arranged for us & setting up all our favours was done amazingly! We used Magenta photographers- who were exceptional - the pics are fantastic! Planet weddings planners who arranged everything from a car to a cupcake tower- fab fab fab!
Ps there are enough pool towels & room towels - you don't need to take your own - all rooms have hairdryers & there are irons/boards which just need to be requested from reception.
FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

Ps the spa is amazing & well worth a trip for a massage - in the end every adult in our group had some kind of treatment!

I could use a number of superlatives but think sublime sums it up. For the sake of brevity, here's my considered summary:

Food - Hot, plentiful, varied, tastey, cakes were exquisite, plenty of choice for kids and no turkey twizzlers (unlucky for any chavs out there).

Staff - Attentive, well mannered, unobtrusive, knowledgable and clearly had pride in the product they were representing. Diana was an absolute star and made us amazing cocktails every night.

Facilities - Pools are clean, safe and importantly uncrowded, the adults pool was ace and sooo chilled out, just canoodling romantic couples enjoying the vibe, me and the present Mrs Hughes loved it. The apartments are great, particularly in the Fishing Village although Agean Village is fine too. The Saturday Greek nights are sensational - not to be missed. Plenty of pool bars, snacks were brill - burgers particularly tastey and meaty, not like the crap you get here in the UK. Loads for the kids to do (we will take ours next year), plenty of stuff to do in the surrounding area, buses run regularly and are not crowded...

What can i say - if you are planning on visiting the Aliathon then worry not; you will have a super time.

A top class hotel, first rate food, great staff, brill facilities and zero chavs. Only downside was that the spa pool was a bit chilly and I noticed a crack in one of the steps upto our apartment :)

Enjoy!!!!

We have just returned from a 2 wk holiday at the Aliathon, for the first week we stayed in the Aegeon side in a 1 bed apartment room 102 right opposite the pool and mini childrens play area, but the sleeping arrangements wasn't very good for 4 of us ( 2 adults and 2 children both to have beds aged 2 and 3, we ended up sleeping in a camp bed and on the day bed in the living space ( not ideal as a couple ) whils't the children had the bedroom ( this is not a moan about this part of the village it's because of the children only because they are so young ), the second week we moved to the Fishing Village side in a Kids den ( which gave us chance to relax a bit more as it was an enclosed balcony and our youngest is a monkey at running off). Now with the moan over, we had a fantastic holiday, the children absolutely loved it with many activites and different pools to do they were never bored, I think this place is brilliant and the First Choice staff do a fantastic job with the entertainment. I have noticed that there are many negative remarks about the Aegeon side but apart from our personal sleeping arrangements with the childrens ages we spent more time that side than the fishing village side. My oldest daughter who is 3 had swimming lessons there and is now confident in the pool on her own with arm bands and so is my youngest. The food was fantastic and even the all day fuffet was good enough and changed regularly, for saying this is a family village the staff work very hard and do a great job at keeping everywhere clean and tidy. We met some lovely people there and my children made friends at the evening entertainment, we felt safe there with the girls and all parents seemed to watch out for all the children which was really nice and comforting.
We had a day trip on the Wave Dancer, what a brilliant day, well worth it, the entertainment and food onboard the ship were fantastic as were the staff with the children.
We will definately go back.

We've just returned from a week at the Holiday Village and I can honestly say it's the best family holiday we've ever had.
We had a fabulous one bedroom apartment in the 'Fishing Village' with a seperate bedroom for the kids and two flat screen tv's (not that we had any time to watch them!) I emailed the hotel a week before we arrived requesting a poolside/ground floor apartment and that's exactly what we got.

Our two children (5 & 7) were entertained practically the whole time, and took part in activities such as: raft building, high ropes, chocolates parties, snorkling, football and much more.

Everywhere was clean, the pools are the biggest I've seen and the kiddies splash pool was excellent (the pictures in the brochure don't do it justice!).

We all loved the food (even my fussy five year old) and we especially enjoyed the Greek Night (Every Saturday night)

So how about the negatives? well there are a couple, the beach is just a couple of minutes away, but it's not the best beach in the world and the sea gets deep very quickly, so not good for little ones (but hey, with pools like the ones at the Aliathon - who needs the sea!) and the second: we were only there for a week, my seven year old was in floods of tears when she left and quite honestly I nearly joined her.

We're going to try the Holiday Village in Egypt next year, but we'll be back to the Aliathon soon.
