“A magical little place”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

I will be totally honest, we arrived at 11 pm to what seemed to be a place in the middle of nowhere! We were met with a warm welcome, however there was nowhere for us to have a drink or to get anything to eat so off we went to our room. I wasn't happy with our room as we were on the ground floor and I have a fear of being robbed (past experience). Although it was late the receptionist pulled out all the stops to change my room so that I was happy - not a good start. I awoke the next morning to a beautiful surroundings, gorgeous pool, luscious green grass and a 2 min walk to the beach. The rooms were completely functional and adequate, very clean and the staff were the friendliest we have seen in a long time. If asked what could make our stay better I would not be able to think of anything. It is a very mixed hotel with lots of different nationalities, but everyone seemed to get along. There is free wifi which was a bonus, however it is at the front of the hotel and I feel if it was in the pool or bar area a lot more people would use the wifi whilst having a drink at the bar - more sociable. We also noticed that a lot of people just walked in off the street and used the pool but were not gracious enough to buy a drink and tended to leave quite a mess. We saw people washing their feet with the hose and just walking away and leaving it running. Lots of people bought their own food and drink in with total disregard for the rules and made out they didn't understand English when asked not to! That aside we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it's a magical little place and totally relaxing. The lively strip with restaurants and bars were a very short bus ride away (only 3 stops) for those that like something a little more lively. The food on offer at the hotel was lovely, excellent choice at breakfast, and great buffets in the evening. If you want friendly, relaxing, quiet, stunning views then this is just the place - we will definitely be going back.

Room Tip: We had a side sea view which was lovely and quiet, next time however we will go for a full sea view...

I stayed here with parents and sister last August and am finding it very hard to fault! We were skeptical after reading very mixed reviews but were really happy with what we got! Clean, beautiful location, a supermarket within walking distance and just a really nice atmosphere! Bars and restaurants are a bus ride away but the stop is on the grounds of the hotel and it drops you right at the center of the strip, and is literally only two minutes long! In all honestly it is within walking distance but the high temperatures during the day may make the journey a bit uncomfortable. The staff are really kind and helpful, and the bar and restaurant staff even took the time get to know our names and our orders which I thought was a really nice gesture. Plenty of sun loungers by the pool, although the beach can get a bit busy sometimes its very big so isn't hard to somewhere to sit!

Also, land marks like Aphrodite's Rock and various ruins and tombs are situated a short drive away so we hired a car from one of the local business and just too spent
day exploring!

All round, the hotel and location and excellent and it really feels like you are getting more for your money!

The only thing I am able to fault is that around mid day the pool is opened to the public and so often groups of teenagers would come which made the poolside a lot more crowded, but this would only be for an hour or so and was usually around the time we were off eating lunch anyway so wasn't really a disturbance. Also, there are a lot of ants around and can be found in the rooms sometimes but is a given in warmer countries, and repellents can be bought from the local supermarket.

I highly recommend this hotel to families, couples and groups!

I have stayed here twice in the last year, great time both times! Right on the beach, basic but clean and spacious apartment. Would highly recommend unless you want 5 star. Limited amount of local restaurants.

Room Tip: Worth paying for sea view

For a 3 star hotel, this is a great place to stay with a family. The rooms were clean, good size and had a kitchenette- handy for stocking up at the supermarket a 10 min walk away for our breakfast. There are plenty of good restaurants on the main strip which is a 20min walk away.... or a 5 min bus ride. With the beach straight down from the hotel and the lovely and clean pool, it was perfect location. The aircon in the rooms didn't seem to work that well, but we had a lovely through breeze with the balcony and front door open which cooled the room down well enough. Had a great stay and would happily go back.

This is our second family holiday at this resort/hotel.Fair enough everyone is entitled to their own opinion and will expect different things for their hard earned money, but I just can't agree with some of the negatives posted. The area/situation is idyllic with plenty of good eateries up the road, good bus service all the way to paphos and further. The hotel itself is well kept and very pleasant.some visitors may well have had problems such as disatifaction with the view from their room but in that case why not upgrade to a full sea view in the first instance?we were more than happy with the side see view overlooking the car park/sea.We,a family with age ranges from 8-73, are fortunate enough to have travelled to many resorts around the world and in my opinion for the price paid for a week this is a steal and I am sure you will enjoy. If Cyprus tourist board read these, please send the bus drivers on a customer care course as many are rude and unwelcoming as well as drive regularly whilst on their mobile phones-have fun fellow travellers I bet you will love it:-)

Room Tip: Side see view car park not banana plantation

My requirements for our first holiday together abroad - on a sandy beach and a gym - his - water sports - the hotel is situated on a lovely sandy beach, and a variety of water sports are 5 minutes’ walk away.

The hotel is a little tired, but clean. Our room was on the ground floor, facing the sea and pool. At first I was disappointed, but it was lovely chilling on the sunbeds people watching and so convenient for the beach and pool.

The room had all the basics for self-catering, but no kettle, toaster or microwave. The aircon was temperamental and there was little ant problem – but nothing unacceptable for the standard of accommodation. The bathroom was clean, maids sorted the bedding every day and the towels were changed every other day.

There is an on-site mini-mart, but there's a larger one 5 minutes up the road near O'Sullivan's Irish bar. The gym is small and basic – there is a treadmill and a rower and some free and fixed weights.
(With a bit of improvisation we actually cobbled together just enough equipment to do a Body Pump class for two!)

The food is ok, breakfast is better than the evening meal in my opinion, so we'd rather have just paid for b&b rather than half board. The staff are really friendly and the chap at the bar loves doing cocktails! I believe the B52 was my fav!

Entertainment wasn't great, although the local cats provided some, and the bar tended to close at 11pm so not a "night spot". Most of the clientele were in their sunset years shall we say :-/ with some couples with toddlers. As we were leaving a young couple arrived who no doubt would have been disappointed with the lack of nightlife.

Buses run to the local town of Coral Bay regularly, where there is a great choice of pubs, restaurants and shops. The walk is 20-25 minutes. We hired a car to get into Paphos which is about a 20-30 minute drive.

Average for the hotel seems harsh - good would better describe it, but not excellent I'm afraid.
