Don't book this hotel, it was terrible and how anyone can say its good i dont know how! They must be easily pleased! This is not a 4 star hotel at all.Its only just a 3.
The strip outside of the hotel is dirty with unkempt bars, taverna's and boared up shops. with only a couple of expensive supermarkets.
The hotel reception appeared presentable, the staff never smile or made an effort to speak to customers. The bedrooms were dirty, torn wooley blue blankets on the beds, saw better bedding on the salvation hostels, sheets were paper thin and marked, pillows were like bags of cement and i did not not dare remove the bottom sheet to view the mattress, the furniture was old and well worn and the carpets all stained, the bathroom shower did not work properly, have you ever showered before with no shower head!the towels wer all tattered and old, during the night there was no running water and from 3pm-4pm every day. If the toilet blocked there was no plumber and a resident had to wait for 24hrs for a repair as they dont have access onsite, the food is the same every day, poor choice and little quality, it is recycled from breakfast to lunch to dinner and there was 5 ferrel cats each evening running wild in the dinning room and being fed by the waiters who were attending tables, the waiters never smiled, spoke or answered you when asking them a question,so it was better not to speak, the cats sat on the chairs, sunbeds, and tables, one evening we reported a cat sitting on the set table, the waiter came across and removed the cat leaving the cloth and cutlery insitu! The bedroom, bathroom, and in the restaurant was over run with ants and when you woke up on a morning they were on your pillow, the rooms smelled damp and foisty. There was no kettle/coffee etc in the rooms, you had to pay to hire the safe and fridge which did not work and you could only use the fridge for drinks purchased in the hotel.the drinks and ices were very expensive, i was charged 7.70 euros for 2 callipo ice lolly pops(£1.80) in the uk.The entertainment did not happen every night it was the mini disco, a quiz or bingo and the staff were not qualified to do this job, although they tried hard with what they had.We complined to the rep from Thomas Cook -Hazel who clearly knew how bad the place was and was not interested -she said she would try to find another hotel but we would have to pay nmore money, this was not a cheap hotel and we paid full price after staying there on aug 28th. The queue was six deep with customers ready to compain form Liverpool, london, germany-all i can say is dont go even if it was free i would not return, the cleaners had few tools to clean with and the outside and pool was dirty and scum on the water.Worst holiday ever.

Stayed here in August 2006 as a family of 3, It was a Great Hotel with great Food, Rooms, Pools, Loungers, Parasols etc, A little remote if you are used to the hustle and bustle of Paphos but if you fancy somewhere quieter maybe this is the place for you.
Still loads of shops, bars etc all within a short walking distance, we went half board and found loads of luchtime places to have a nice light meal.
Nice place to have a break, we loved it and yes would go back again without hesitation.

I recently stayed here (August 2012) and was exactly what i expected. I would say it was a four star resort. The food was good quality and a wide choice for an all inclusive resort. They had different themed nights in the buffet restaurant. The lunch became repetitive but on the whole was excellent - i travel a lot and have had the all inclusive experience many a times and this was one of the better ones!! The resort itself was clean, a nice pool -although mostly shallow so perhaps more for families. It wasnt massively busy even during peak season so wasnt noisy at all and come midnight the bar was empty. Was difficult to get a sunbed with an umbrella by the pool if you went there post 11am. I never had a problem the whole time i was there at 10.15am but you didnt get a choice of location in that instance - didnt bother me! The staff were reasonably friendly and the service good. Lots of cats walking around - i love cats so not a problem but may put some people off as they are also in the outdoors restaurant. Some entertainment of an evening but wasnt great from what i saw -mainly for the kids, definately a family resort. It was in an excellent location in coral bay as the road at the back of the resort lead you straight to the bars and restaurant. The main beach was 6 mins walk downhill, easy really. Nice beach, lovely sea and a beach bar that pumps out good tunes. The local cuisine outside the resort really is very good - perhaps worth going bad and breakfast?! Drinks and food on the whole was pretty cheap. Plenty of things to do -excursions to book etc. Overall cant complain about the resort, lovely stay. Flight wasnt til late in the evening so used the shower facilities at the gym - just paid a deposit for the towel as late check out they charged you. Spa in the resort also brilliant- great value massages by qualified professionals. Great gym facilities and tennis courts. Would recommend for families or groups. The rooms were nice - but very hard beds and a balcony too small to sit out on really but a good size, clean etc. Minibar was not stocked - you needed to fill out a request form but otherwise could use but charged for. The safe was charged at a couple of euros a day so we just locked all valuables in a suitcase so was fine. Some people reported ants but i never saw any in my room, just here and there in the resort generally.

Room Tip: We were on the Mezzanine floor - perhaps a different floor had better rooms/bigger balconies? Rooms...

We have just returned from a two week alinclusive stay at Crown resort Horizon Hotel, In our opinion this Hotel was fantastic, it was clean with maid service every day, most staff very friendly, and very hard working, the staff shone out to us was Ivo bar manager, chris and not forgetting our Andrei whom we christened PETER, was lovely, the animation girls were great with the kids and always had a smile on there face. Us as two couples did not participate in any activities except bingo,in which we won!!!! Food was lovely, if it was chick.en at night any leftovers you would be offered that at lunch, but to us that is good housekeeping! you do have to be up early for a sunbed but that happens all over. we met some great people and are looking to book for next year. we have read the previous comments and feel they must have been on a different holiday from us. A holiday is what you make it and we had a great time, entertainment was ok.All inclusive was worth it as it is very expensive out on the strip and they do great deal at reception if you want to upgrade, have a great holiday if your going soon.A holiday is what you make everyone is different we had a very relaxing enjoyable time.from Jackie,Grahame,Alma and Jimmy from Dundee Scotland

second visit here, disappointed. Rooms small and tired looking, extra charge for safe and fridge which at best is just a drinks cooler, no kettle in room. Beds very uncomfortable. Staff in restaurant mostly miserable except a couple. Food ok but very repetitive, drinks very expensive if not all inclusive, nearly double resort prices, so didnt drink there much. Not enough sunbeds. Cost alot of money to stay here, disappointed as was expecting more for a 4/5star. stayed here a couple of years ago out of season, seemed like a different hotel then - will not be returning again.

I have stayed in many 3 star hotels and this one certainly earned its 4* status. The rooms were spacious, cleaned daily and were equipped with a safety deposit box (2 euros a day but a small price to pay). My boyfriend and I chose to go half board and liked the option that we could have upgraded to all inclusive if we had wanted to. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of foods and I was equally impressed by the dinner choices. On the first day we arrived after dinner and were supplied with sandwiches and also a food voucher to redeem for lunch the next day. Likewise we chose to eat out one evening and were able to 'trade-in' our missed meal for lunch, so we definitely got our moneys worth! The drinks were expensive but no more than any hotel- we made the most of half price drinks during happy hour (5:30-6:30pm) and bought bottles of water at the reception shop rather than the bar. The location was ideal for evening drinks in local bars (Kleo's and Blazing Saddles) and the local bus service into Paphos was only a 2 euro return journey (be careful as 2 euros 50 pp after 11pm). A trip to Paphos harbour is a must (Theo's restaurant) and the Fassouri waterpark was a great day out too. The service at the hotel from reception staff was great as well as our Thomas Cook rep. The evening restaurant staff were a bit slow to serve drinks but otherwise polite and efficient at clearing tables. The daily games of water polo in the pool were enjoyed by people of all ages. Whilst sunbeds were well reserved by the time we woke up we never had an issue finding 2 spare but this is a problem I have encountered in every hotel I have ever stayed in. If you are feeling hungry try the Classic Meze in 'Coral King' first restaurant on the left out of the hotel (side exit) you will not be disappointed!!

Room Tip: Double beds are king size!

My partner and i have just come back from this hotel, It was our first holiday away together and away from home and i thorougly enjoyed it. The hotel is clean i dont know why people say it isn't they obviously just go on holiday to pick out the bad points. The food in the evening isn't great. We were half board and ate out over the road at blazing saddles for 3 nights. The entertainers were great and do everything they can to make sure everyone enjoys themselves. Its very close to the coral bay strip and close to the beach, however the walk back is a bit of a killer! I went down at 8am for breakfast and got my sunbeds then so you can get them at tha time. The hotel is very friendly, we made loads of friends!.

I could not fault this hotel dont read the bad comments, these people clearly have nothing else to do.
