“A nice place to stay in Paphos”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

This is a good place to stay. Spacious, spotlessly-clean apartment, well-equipped, effective air-conditioning. Nice, clean outdoor pool, nice quiet indoor pool. Gym. Bar with sensible prices for drinks, snacks and breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. It's a 5 minute walk to the (rather disappointing) beach, a 20 minute walk to the harbour. 10 minute walk to the "Tombs of the Kings". Loads of places to eat within 5 minutes on foot. If you want a decent and reasonably-priced place to stay, it's perfect. Note there is only wifi in the lobby and bar.

Just back from the Kef, Our first visit, we choose the kafalonitis because of the reviews on Trip advisor, great holiday, fab pool, warm all the time. Great for kids . We had a 1 bed apartment for 2 of us and it was massive! very well equipt. Sad to see a lot of the local shops/bars have closed probably due to the recession. Beware if you eat a Fat Mumma's massive food portions but good prices. nice walks down to the shopping mall and harbour (half and hour walk) , probably not too good for people who struggle to walk as pavements can be very uneven and extremely high kerbs! Have to mentin Ted, what a star! he is such a massive asset to the place. so friendly and a wealth of knowledge about the area, he couldnt have done enough when we arrived late ,very welcoming! Cleaners and the girls on the snackbar/pool bar were lovely. couldnt fault the place. !

Room Tip: We were in 722 block G, no noise at all brilliant! Beds were great!

My husband and I stayed at the Kefalonitis Apartments in June to attend a friend's wedding nearby. Apartments were basic and no-frills but clean and enough for what you require on holiday. As we were out through the days, it served our purpose well. However, if you are looking for a stay similar to an all-inclusive fancy hotel then this is not the place for you. The staff were fantastic and couldn't help you enough. The pool area could do with a revamp, as could some parts of the room but nonetheless, a great stay in a fantastic location in the old Paphos.

We have just return yesterday from the Kefalonitis and all I can say is it's amazing!! It was our first family holiday in 4 years so desperately wanted this holiday to be special.
We had the warmest welcome from Ted. He is the loveliest Scotsman I have ever met and immediately was having a joke and was fantastic with our 6yr old & 2yr old. He absolutely has the personal touch and nothing was too much. A few days before I had requested a pool view and we got it!! That never happens to us. The room was huge, spotless and had an extra lounge area which led to the balcony looking onto the pool.
We then went to the pool bar and was greeted by the lovely Alex. She was so amazing and friendly again personal touch by talking about her little boy.
In the morning we all order breakfast(we were b&b) and Anna was great the food was fantastic and rather large portions so by the end of the week we knew only to order for 2 or exactly what we wanted. Fabulous service :)
The pool is spot on for families and there were a few others there with the same age kids. It's absolutely spotless and has a baby pool sectioned off from the main pool, our kids loved it.
The hotel is 2 secs from the main strip on king of tombs rd so lots going in but away from the noise.
We have been to paphos before so wanted to go back to the harbour and would say its 10 mins in a taxi(€8 each way) so decided to hire a car from the rental outside the apartments. They are great but my husband is extremely cheeky and managed to get the car free from 1800 and was only charged for 2 days so worth bartering!!
Nicos that owns the hotel is great..we thought we had put our key in the box one day..he checked everywhere until I went back to the room and whoops we had left it in the electricity slot!! So throughout the hols we shook it at each other. Also when we left I stupidly left the passports in the lobby(didn't realise till at the airport). Nicos said'no problem they are in a taxi on the way to you'!! Again excellent customer service.
We can't wait to go back to these apartments and are having holiday blues!!
Admittedly paphos does not have the best beaches unless you find them. Also I would def recommend the new lidl for food shopping if self catering. All in all this is one of mine and my husbands best holidays ever and thank god fuerteventura was going to rain otherwise we would never have booked here!!
Can't wait to come back!!

Stayed for a week end of June, have to say that I can echo most of the things other reviewers have written, location fantastic, rooms very clean and spacious, After reading reviews, I expected great things, But...The staff (except for alex in the bar) are the most miserable people we have ever "met". when we checked in, the guy mumbled and led us to our block, pointed up wards and left my wife and myself to navigate to the top floor with all our cases. at first I thought the room was great, ( but it stunk of sewage), we discovered tiny ants running around near the sink top, which were very difficult to spot as they are the same colour as the work surface, just be careful of food as they move so quickly. At around midnight, the compressor on the rooftop started, and kept on until after 9.00am. it droned on and on..I went to see Mr Happy!, and he said that I should have drunk more wine to help me sleep, I gave it another night, but could not sleep a wink. We asked to move room and he did agree and gave us the room below, without any problems, the room was a bit smaller, but much better, it was cooler and balcony not overlooked by any neighbours no ants and no smell, very very grateful for the air con, as this was free. the only bad thing was the flushing of the loo was very poor,( didn't report this as it did work). The bar was deserted in the evenings, and was shocked to find that they do not offer food after 5.30pm, and in my opinion they should lower their prices, as the drinks at tramps at the bottom of the road are priced more keenly, better atmosphere, and free music....no brainer really...When we checked out, the girl on the desk said" are you checking out?" gave us the deposit back for the safe, and that was it, no more said, no smile, nothing... Would stay here again as location is fantastic

Room Tip: be wary of rooftop machinery noise and camouflaged ants!
