Easily photographed from the walkways, view the church and stay for a service, the congregation are friendly and love to give the history of church and pillar

Very interesting! It does not come with fireworks and salutes, nonetheless it is a must-visit destination for anyone who is faithful of Christianity, since these are the very beginning of the Church as we know it.

Accidentally came across this behind the harbour area. As stated not just a pillar but an excavated site that you walk around on a raised walkway with a small chapel at one side of it, that has been granted use to the English speaking Catholic community, as well as other denominations.

Considering the history and significance of the site, it's refreshingly low key and uncluttered, with information boards in English and Greek, you could wander round it gently in 10 minutes having a wee read and moving on, or take as much time as you want to just absorb and be at peace and marvel at the background of it all.
