Nice quiet small Taverna close to our hotel. Don't eat all day if you are going here for your evening meal as portions are very large (but delicious).

“impressive”

it's next to our hotel, we visited it not expecting much but we were so impressed by the yummy greek dishes and the welcoming service. Very authentic and generous, not overpriced at all! it was the first time i got introduced to the trio dips - Tarama, tahinisalata and tzatziki, which i recommend

“Nice Greek dishes close to hotels”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2013

This restaurant feels a little out of the way as it is on the road out of town in hotelville, and as such we were one of only three parties when we visited. We were welcomed with a basket of hot, fluffy bread, some olives and a shot of zivania to get things started. I like this kind of touch in a restaurant; it costs so little but shows extra attention.

We started with a trio of dips - Tarama, tahinisalata and tzatziki, and then had beef stifado and sea bream. The sea bream was flavoursome, and I am happy to cope with filleting whole fish at the table although others might mot have been, but the order arrived wrong - I specifically asked for no chips but they arrived anyway with a sidesalad and vegetables and went uneaten. The stifado was tasty and reminiscent of a vindaloo or madras with its tang from the vinegar, and there was a good quantity of rice to soak up juices.

If there hadn't have been so many places we wanted to try I think we might have gone back another night, especially considering a couple of our meals were ultimately grave errors of judgement!
