“Fabulous apartment and location to the beach and harbour”
Reviewed 16 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

The apartment was equipped with everything that you needed and was immaculate. The view from the balcony over the pool allowed me to see the children playing and the gardens and surrounding area was well kept. Will visit again and would recommend to anyone with or without children. Local bars worth a visit ( Billys ) , friendly service and good food. The beach is a five minute walk . Would recommend hiring a car , we visited Coral Bay and Aphrodites rock .

“Fab apartment, great location”
Reviewed 9 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Great apartment, with everything you need for a lovely break away. We visited in March 2017 and were very lucky with the weather. Apartment was very clean and well equipped. It's location was great for us, only a few mins walk into Paphos. Wifi was great and English TV was a bonus. The only flaw was that there was no sun on the spacious balcony, however there is a fab pool area, which made up for lack of sun on balcony. The complex is in a quiet area, yet only a few minutes walk to restaurants and bars. Thank you for a lovely visit and for your excellent communications too, making the booking process very easy. I will recommend this holiday let without hesitation.

“Beautiful , spacious and clean apartment in a wonderful location 😎”
Reviewed 15 November 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Stayed in this apartment with my hubby and best friend for a week and enjoyed it so much we have booked back up for next summer for 2 weeks . The apartment is home from home and looked after to a high standard and very clean , with everything you will need for a relaxing holiday . Spacious open plan lounge diner with a well equipped kitchen if you fancy doing any cooking while on holiday . Good wifi throughout the apartment . TV and DVD player with a wide selection of DVDs to choose from, plenty of books to read and an assortment of board games if you fancy sometime indoors out of the heat . Really good air conditioning and ceiling fans in all the rooms. The two bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage and very comfy beds . The large bathroom has a good powerful shower over the bath and always had hot water . The balcony looks over the the two swimming pools which are surrounded by well kept gardens . The pool area is a lovely place to relax in the sun and you have the use of 4 sunbeds , little tip while your round the pool get your money ready about 4 pm everyday as an ice cream van turns up selling amazing ice cream . The location is fantastic lots of bars .shops and restaurants most of them in walking distance and something to suit all tastes . The local bus services is great we caught the bus to and from the airport for €1.50 each . The owners of the property Angela and Mark are really helpful and gave us some really good tips on where to go for some lovely meals . I can't wait to visit again

“A great all round option in every aspect”
Reviewed 17 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

In Advance
The apartment is owned by Angela. She is very helpful and always responds to questions quickly. I had many picky questions which she always answered honestly.

In Pathos there is a local agent that manages the property and many others at the site, and he is the go to guy if you have any problems. We had communication with him once when the kettle broke. Next morning he was there with a replacement with no fuss - very impressive.

A map of the apartments location at the site would've been useful. We arrived very late and it wasn't very clear where to go. I did find a site map online showing the location of the block we were in which helped. Looking from the main road, block H is towards the front right.

Keys are left in a small 4 digit barrel locked box just at the front door of the apartment. I thought this was a great idea, as you can arrive at any time without problems and just get straight in. There were a few 'what if' anxieties, but it really is all very simple.

There are a few parking spots underneath the apartment which we were always able to use. There was plenty of available parking at either end of the complex if the spots underneath had mean full.

The Apartment
This 2 bed apartment is laid out very nicely. You walk into a good size open plan kitchen/lounge/dinner. The kitchen has a fridge freezer, microwave, hob oven and grill. As this is also Angela’s apartment, it was noticeable how many ‘little things’ that were present in the kitchen - things that you wouldn’t normally get in a kitchen. By this I mean all the different kitchen utensils, mugs, overawe, different glasses, etc etc. Basically for cooking, drinking and living in, you have it all here, just like home.

Nice touch is that on the sink there is a separate tap for drinking water. Quite often in tourist resorts you have to buy bottled water, so getting a drinking water tap was good news.

Another little touch that I was very impressed with was the provision of a cool box and ice packs. You could use this to take drinks down to the pool with the provided plastic glasses (no glasses by swimming pools). We were also in the habit of freezing 2l bottles of juice and taking them out in the cool box in the car, which was a great bonus.

In the lounge is a book case full of books and DVDs for you to use. This was lightly impressive. The books were all largely recent and a good cross as were the DVDs, and there were dozens of each, including titles for the kids. There was also a section of books and maps on Pathos which is a great idea.

The lounge area is comfortable and you get a good TV with DVD player. I was amazed to get British TV. It comes via an online service and effectively gives you freeview, so all the channels you would normally get at home. There was also another box that I think was a PVR but I never used it, so you could potentially even record programmes - although I don’t know this for sure. I had this for the last 4 days of the Olympics and it was great to keep up to date.

The apartment faces away from the sun. There is minimal sun on the front of the balcony in the morning - just enough to dry your towels. Then for the majority of the day it is in shade as it is a fully covered balcony. Whether this is good or bad depends on your preference. I would have preferred a sunnier balcony, but to be honest when you are in Cyprus in August there is no shortage of sun. As the apartment is on a corner position, the balcony is open to 2 sides which is nice. It’s also a fairly good size with a table for 4. The view from the balcony was lovely, towards the end of the pool.

The 2 bedrooms are a good size, one double, one twin. They had plenty of storage space which was a welcome surprise. A pet hate of mine is a lack of hangers….no problem here! Many hangers are provided. I found the beds acceptably comfortable.

Both bedrooms have separate air con units and ceiling fans, with the lounge/dinner also having an aircon unit. The aircon units are all on timers that you can preset. They will stay on a few hours and then turn off. I was bit concerned about this at first but it was fine, Cool the bedrooms down first before you go to bed, then the ceiling fans left on over night actually do a fine job. The ceiling fan in the twin room was a bit noisy, but this may get rectified.

The main bedroom also features a free digital safe.

The bathroom is an average size, with a large sink/shelf area offering lots of space for toiletries. There is a bath with an overhead shower in the bath. The shower was fine for a low pressure style unit.

The apartment was also very quite with minimal noise from above, below or the side.

The Pool
Four sunbeds were left on the balcony. You take these down to the pool and leave them there for the duration of your stay, fixing them when you leave with the provided chain and padlock. This is an amazing bonus! no sun beds battles! There are fixed parasols around the pool, and part of the pool rules is to not fix your sunbeds to these parasols. This is completely ignored. There are no battles for sunbeds, but there is a battle for parasols. This didn’t bother us as we didn’t need one, but if you did it would have been hugely frustrating to head down to the pool and find empty parasols that you couldn’t use as someone else’s sunbeds are chained around them.

The pool is beautiful. It is landscaped and set out across quite a large area. There is a small toddlers pool at one end. This was usually surrounded by adults that just lounged in it, but I’m sure that they would make way if kids were around. The large main pool has a sloping beach entrance which was amazing. It is at around 1m deep for quite a way so a good half of the pool is great for kids. A waterfall effect is down one side, which curves round into a large jacuzzi section. Keep going down to the other end of the pool and it gets very deep - perfect for jumping in games! There is also a separate mid size pool at the other end.

We were at the site in the middle of August. The pool was never overly busy and was always a relaxed environment. Some apartments seem not to have sunbeds so make sure you always chain them up when you leave. You started losing the sun in the pool from between 6.30 - 7.00pm. The pool has no lifeguards and guests are generally left to their own devices. There is no bar or cafe, but a small supermarket is about a minutes walk away. An ice cream van came round just after 4.00pm every day. As the pool is not policed, it is effectively open 24/7. Many people stay in the pool late into the evening. We had a late night session in the pool and it was amazing having the pool to yourself, in darkness, with the wonderful pool lighting, and still being perfectly warm.

The Location
In the vicinity, particularly behind the apartments are several excellent restaurants within a 3-4 minute walk. 5 minutes walk will get you to the nearest beech and the coast walk way. This is an attractive amble all the way along to the harbour area. There are several beeches, lots of shops and restaurants, all within a 10 minute walk. To get to the harbour is probably about a 20 minute walk. Everything feels close enough, and you stay just outside enough to be kept peaceful. All in all a great location.

Overall
It;s lovely here. Pathos is attractive, the weather is amazing, the apartment is clean, modern and well specified, the pool is amazing, the airport is close, and overall it is a highly recommended rental.
