“Wedding at Louis Imperial Beach May 2014”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

We stayed at Louis Imperial Beach from 7th - 28th May 2014. It was the most incredible holiday ever as we also got married on 20th May at the beautiful gazebo gardens. My husband Ben and I could not of wished for a more perfect day, holiday and honeymoon. All of the staff were fantastic, especially Nicole the wedding coordinator who went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. The food is superb, with something on offer for everyone. We look forward to returning for an anniversary one day. Thanks once again Ben and Hanna

Room Tip: I would definitely pay a little extra for sea view room.

I went to this hotel with my family which included 3 rooms, a standard twin, family room and honeymoon suite. All of the rooms were excellent, they also helped with our request to have all 3 rooms close together. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, they would always chat and make sure you were having a good time.

The animations team were really good too always nearby and having a chat by the pool letting you know what's going on. For the evening entertainment there was something different every night and a mini disco for the little ones, my 2 year old niece loved it and thanks to Rachel and Amber for making sure she had a great time! Dancing with "the ladies" was her favourite thing.

The food was good, always lots of options although would be better if there was more options for the little kids at lunch time, the restaurant staff were very efficient and it was immaculately clean.

I would highly recommend this hotel to couples and families.

Room Tip: The sea view is beautiful but the nighttime entertainment is done at the pool bar so you will be abl...

Dear Guest,

On behalf of the Louis Imperial Beach we thank you for choosing our hotel as your holiday destination and for writing a review about your experience.

It is delightful to read that you spent a brilliant holiday at the Louis Imperial Beach. We are glad to know that you appreciated our professional and caring staff, as well as our numerous fresh and tasty dishes. It is also a joy to see that you were pleased by our animation shows which your young niece enjoyed! You are right that perhaps the variety of our kids buffet needs to improve and we assure you that a redevelopment of the concept is being planned for the near future.

We hope to have the privilege of welcoming you soon back to the Louis Imperial Beach.

Kindest regards,

The Management

Had a very late flight so were checking in very late at night/ early in the morning, check in was very quick and the staff were friendly and helpful. We received a plastic card to show we were all inclusive which was a bit inconvenience as you had to show it everytime you ordered drinks (as we often forgot it), however we later discovered you can just tell them your room number if you forget the card, although I still think wrist bands would have been more practical.

The rooms were modern and clean with plenty of storage and each room with a balcony. I would advise you to request a room at the back of the hotel with a seaview otherwise you'll be looking over the carpark (not at all attractive), but all of the back rooms have lovely views. The mini fridge is replenished with soft drinks everyday and there is tea and coffee available in the room.

There were charges for the safe which was 3 Euros a day and the pool towels required a 10 Euro refundable deposit. The wifi was free in the lobby once you'd obtained the password, but to have wifi all around the hotel there was a charge of 25 Euros for 7 days or 40 Euros for 14 days. The harbour was only a 15 minute walk away although if you ask anyone they will probably tell you to take the bus,but this isn't really necessary.

The food was lovely and fresh and was different everyday, (although lunch and breakfast were usually very similar). The animation team who are in charge of entertainment are very friendly, although the entertainment seems to be aimed at generations older tan myself maybe 45-50+. The hotel seems to cater more for the older generations as well as much younger children. But for a young couple in our 20s there wasn't much for us, but that didn't bother us as we just wanted a relaxing week.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a calm and relaxing week.

Room Tip: I would recommend requesting a room at the back of the hotel so you are guaranteed a good view as op...

Lovely start to our holiday when we arrived at the hotel. Good efficient reception staff and a welcome drink and nibbles. Our room was furnished well with plenty of drawers and space. Soft drinks put in fridge everyday and coffee and tea facilities topped up daily. Do not like paying for safe , but needed it,3 euros daily. Towels supplied at reception, 20 euros deposit per couple. The room had a lovely seaview , but was paid for. It was kept very clean all week. The main restaurant was spacious and kept clean, you could also sit outside to eat. As we are non smokers this is not always pleasant. We found the food to be of good quality and hot. Good toasters. We had a meal in asian restaurant, you have to prebook this and we booked a table outside. Big mistake chilly and windy, no room left inside so several of our party went to indoor restaurant. Plenty of sunbeds one pool which was kept clean. We were expecting a sandy beach, but it was rocky and not much sand. Lovely small bay for bathing, but stoney. Entertainment team were good a daily quiz and activities , but no pressure to join in. Evening entertainment was basic. There is a nice coastal walk to Paphos harbour,it takes about 20 mins. All in all a nice hotel, staff are very helpful and always polite and friendly. Nice to see manager walking around. Our niggles are a bit more variety with food and long trousers to be worn by all men in restaurant.

Room Tip: seaview is worth it, room 356 was good.

Dear guest,

First and foremost, we would like to thank you for choosing to stay at the Louis Imperial Beach and for taking the time to write such a nice review.

We are delighted to see that you spent a splendid holiday in our hotel, and that you deeply enjoyed your well-designed room. It is nice to hear that our dedicated and helpful service team managed to make your stay even more pleasant with their attentive and efficient care. Furthermore, we are thrilled to read that you greatly appreciated our continuous effort to maintain an exemplary cleanliness in each room as well as in all common areas.

We thank you for bringing your observation in regards to men’s attire at the restaurant to our attention. Nonetheless, we hope for your understanding that in certain circumstances, we need to be flexible with the dresscode, because not everyone can deal with long trousers in such heat.

We greatly look forward to welcoming you back to the Louis Imperial Beach on your next holiday.

Yours truly,

We stayed at the Louis Imperial Beach from 7th - 21st May 2014. Our 5th stay here and as always all the staff were friendly and efficent. Bedrooms are cleaned to a high standard and the mini bar soft drinks replaced daily was very welcome. The food this year was of a better quality and hotter(when needed) with hot plates an added bonus. Last year A.I. wine was not good at all and we ended up buying a bottle every night. Much better this year (red and white) which saved us a lot of money. The only issue that lets the dining experience down (as mentioned in other reviews) is the dress standard not being adhered to. Management has to decide whether they are going to enforce it or if not take all the useless signs down and cancel it.

Another issue we had was with the very poor standard of the outdoor games equipment (others have mentioned it). In the 2 weeks we were there a large number of people turned up every day wanting to take part in French Boules, Shuffleboard and Archery. The boules were old and rusty. We all ended up having patches of rust on our clothes after playing. Some boules were missing and the nimation Manager bought childrens plastic boules from a shop to make up the shortfall and included those in the game (not a good move!). Shuffleboard discs were old and thin and the Archery equipment was a joke. The bows were misaligned and in poor condition, the arrows were blunt and missing flights. After a few days of this farce we were were down to just 2 arrows for all those wanting to take part. By the end of our holiday Archery had been cancelled!!

With regard to the Putting Green advertised on Thomsons (First Choice) website and in the latest brochure, this to our knowledge has not existed for the past 2 years. It seems to have now become the route to the Wedding Ceremonies!.

All in all this is still a good hotel, but for those who want more than a sunbed all day holiday, let us hope next year we see some new equipment for those who want to take part in a little activity and have some fun.

Room Tip: High floor rooms overlooking the tennis courts are quieter

Stayed at this hotel 2 weeks ago for the 2nd year running, could not have asked for a better sea view (237), the only downside to this room was the lack of sound proofing, you could actually hear the persons in the adjoining room snoring. The hotel staff were absolutely brilliant, and the food choice and quality was excellent. I would also like the hotel to address the dress code as it clearly states long trousers, if it states long trousers then it should be adhered to! whats the point of putting this in practice if it is ignored.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a sea view.

Dear guest,

At first we would like to express our gratitude for holidaying at the Louis Imperial Beach.

We are pleased to see that you had an enjoyable and memorable holiday at our property and that you loved the stunning views from your room. It is also wonderful to know that you favored our dedicated and engaging service culture and we thank you for your sincere acknowledgements.
However, we are truly saddened to see that our thin walls prevented you from catching a recreational good nights sleep. Besides we thank you for bringing the lack of dress code adherence to our full attention. We have transmitted your concern to our restaurant manager as we speak and do our utmost to reinforce the dress code.

We are glad that despite these minor flaws you had a pleasant stay at the Louis Imperial Beach and we look forward to welcome you back soon.

Yours sincerely,
