We have stayed at this hotel several times and it is always the same. Clean rooms, very friendly staff from the cleaners to the managers. We usually stay bed and breakfast but in the past we have stayed half board and the food is good. We will be back in september.

We had a rest a week from June, 12 till June, 19th. The hotel was pleasant, corresponds 3 *, lived in number Standart Inland View, a food was a breakfast and a supper. Public: 70 % adequate Russian + 30 % English pensioners.
It`s in the center of a tourist zone of Pathos (Kato Paphos), near to quay, where many different cafes, restaurants, bars and shops.
In number 2 one-and-a-half beds shifted together, bedside tables, a sofa, a dressing table with a mirror, an armchair and a journal table, a spacious balcony with two plastic chairs and a little table, the small refrigerator, on it the TV with 1 Russian channel without the panel, a payment for the safe is 1,70 euros +20 euro the deposit (at departure from the hotel hand over a key, return the deposit), a bathroom, a toilet bowl, a bowl and a mirror. Using the hair dryer, the conditioner and the ceiling fan free of charge. Cleaning daily, for a week bed 1 time have changed, towels some times (dirty we threw on a floor). That wasn't in number: a tea set, toilet accessories (only liquid soap), salutatory fruit and a wine bottle.
Territory is small, well-groomed, very green, pool for adults + small for absolutely kids, a bar at pool. The children's playground isn't present, however, it hasn't prevented much to have a rest with children. A food a buffet for a breakfast and a supper, is quite various and is tasty, it was pleasant to us, we didn't take drinks at supper, ate too much of a water-melon and melon.
We liked very much a city Pathos, its Archaeological park, Old port, beach Coral Bay, Park of birds. In Archaeological park have taken a walk independently, it`s in the pedestrian availability from hotel. In Park of birds the transfer free of charge is organized, it is necessary to register in a reception. Unfortunately, it was not possible to visit an Aquarium which is in the neighbourhood with the hotel, it has been closed on preventive maintenance (or reconstruction).
The sandy beach is located near to hotel Alexander The Great in 10 minutes of walking from Dionysos Central. Near to hotel are a pier and some short flights of stairs in water, transparent water, a stony bottom. All beaches of Pathos have blue flags EC that guarantees cleanliness of water and ecology. In our arrival water in the sea was rather cool, about 20 degrees.
Result: from the hotel and from the Pathos there were only pleasant impressions, recommend.

This hotel is great if you want a convenient hotel to sleep in. I have stayed here on seven occasions and will return next year. However, some rooms do need a refurb. I would recommend a B and B only basis. The restaurant is adequate but there are many fine dining experiences to be had in the adjacant area. The staff are all friendly but Viorel in the La Place restaurant deserves a special mention. He is efficent and speaks a number of different languages. The breakfast was disappointing this year. We heard many complaints about the coffee and juice. The food was acceptable. This recommend comes with reservations but the location is exceptional, rooms and food acceptable but not special. Still value for money in Cyprus

My sister and I have just returned from our fourth visit to this hotel. The hotel may need a little updating around the pool area but everything is clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful apart from one lady in the palace royale cafe!!! We had a pool room and it was quiet and comfortable with clean sheets and pillowcases daily. Breakfast is adequate and has everything needed to set you up for the day. The hotel is in a good central location near a variety of shops anf restaurants (though the hotels own resturant is well worth a visit). The seafront is approx half a minutes walk away. i wish Costas and his staff a good summer and have already re-booked for next June!!!

Room Tip: pool/sea view room

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Our room was very gloomy and the balcony was never in the sun. The bathroom was in serious need of updating, the grout all needed renewing and there was a chip in the wash basin. The food was very unsatisfactory. On the menu was "a varied selection of desserts." - Every day it was 1 portion of cake, red jelly, orange blancmange-like concoction and fruit salad which always comprised apple, orange and red grapefruit. The meat dishes were really horribly unappetising; on 2 occasions I had a complete slice of pure fat covered in glutenous sauce. This was supposed to be gammon. The reaction of the rep - Mercury Direct - was that "everyone likes different things." When I said I didn't think anyone would want to chew on pure fat, she said that her husband would. The staff in the restaurant were extremely unfriendly and didn't even respond to a smile and "Good morning" from guests. We had no contact with other members of the hotel staff. The only good point about the hotel is its location, within easy reach of the promenade facilities.

we found our bedroom to be quite dirty.thick dust in the wardrobe and the wash pedestal and bathroom where poor they definately had not been cleaned.the fixtures and fittings were poor. The shower kept coming off the wall. There was no bath mat and my husband slipped when in the shower. The bedding was a disgrace with holes in the throws.Security was dreadful with the balcony doors not closing we eventually managed with great difficulty. The food was poor especially the sweets it was jelly every day and sliced apple and orange. The salad bar was minimal and looked very distastful. The hotel was in need of an overhall lighting and lamp shades in bad repair. On the whole it was very disappointing but i must say the staff were very friendly and polite.the lift was not working either so we had a long climb to our room on a regular basis we heard others comment on this also.At check in my husband had to carry two cases up four flights of stairs.Would not recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: very noisy night clubs
