Wow what a brilliant start to married life. We stayed here for 10 nights and from the minute we pulled up in the taxi to the minute we left we were treated like celebrities - nothing was to much trouble for the staff. The room was stunning, the bed laid out with rose petals and swan towels, balloons decorated the door and a bottle of sparkling wine awaited in the fridge. View from the balcony was of the sea in front and the harbour to the right. Lunch was always taken at the pool side and we had plenty of choice and always hot and very tasty. Evening meals were shared between the buffet and Al a Carte restaurants - only a few words needed here, variety, taste and atmosphere. The food was stunning and the atmosphere was warm and friendly and you were never made to feel rushed - nothing was to much trouble for the staff.
During the day there are plenty of sunbeds and parasols (more than guests I think) and the free pool towels were changed whenever you need. 3 lovely swimming pools gave you time to cool off in that lovely Cyprus sun.
The spa was used 3 times while we were there, and I have to admit was great value, I've never felt so relaxed after my massage - compliments to the staff.
All in all a fantastic stay in a fantastic (the best hotel we've ever stayed in) hotel. The staff and location give me no hesitations in recommending this hotel to friends for a fantastic holiday in Cyprus.

Started our holiday here on the 24th of May for 11 nights. After our experiences with other all inclusive s we had decided this would be our last holiday for a while, however after coming here we have already booked up for the same time next year. Cant praise the hotel enough, small and friendly, lovely staff and management team, excellent food and service. I have mobility problems and have to use walking sticks to get around, this hotel was perfect for all my needs and the staff couldn't have done more to accommodate me. Plenty of sunbeds at any time of the day. Nice piano bar in the evening, perfect for adults rather than families, wide selection of drinks which made for a very very good holiday. Just returned from another great week at the Athena Royal Beach, Paphos. The hotel is now 9 years old and each year you think the standard cannot be matched ...but it is. Even with new staff in the restaurant and bars, the hotel management succeed in keeping their high standards. Spotless clean and a perfect position right on the sea front. You can now walk right to the harbour front (about 20 minutes) along the coastline (previously could only walk part way sea front, part way road). This is one of 3 adults only hotel owned by Constantinou brothers. Worth checking out if you are planning to visit Paphos.

Room Tip: 2nd or 3rd floor sea view (eg, 2215 is a great view!)

We elected to stay here on the strength of reviews and on the recommendation of our agent. It was also adults only – so no screaming kids running amuck! 1 week in a standard room (2249) on an AI basis. First impressions were very good. The hotel frontage is rather understated but well kept. The initial reception was perfect; Stuart the porter was a complete gent and made us feel immediately welcome. Agatha on reception was warm, friendly and very professional – what a lovely lady. Probably the smoothest warmest booking in we have had. The room was fine if a little small and an odd shape. Clean, well presented and fresh. One major plus is the plethora of available power sockets – often a real bugbear in some rooms. The view was great - over the sea. One thing we did like was the ambience and the room entrances were all via internal corridors. A feeling of quality. The air con was very effective and quiet. Bed was comfortable and large. Nice touches were the Nespresso coffee machine, the usual tea/kettle and a fruit bowl. Two sets of pool towels are provided in the room – fantastic idea. No need to hunt down the guy at the pool – the maid changes them every day. Simple idea but so welcome - more hotels should do this. WIFI in the hotel was free, superfast and available everywhere – thank you!!! The pool area is large, very clean and very well maintained. There is no shortage of sunbeds and they are spread out so you are not sat too close to others. The sunbeds are pretty comfy too. The pools are not that deep (1.3m) and quite small but hardly used. This is because of the average of the hotel’s guests was well over 65. This resulted in the pool side being very, very quiet. An advantage during the day but no recipe for fun in the evenings. I would have liked more drinks waiters around the pool area as there were only two barmen and one bar. This did result in quite a wait sometimes. The main restaurant service was good and the quality of food also. The choices were a little limited with a little repetition even over our week. Breakfast was by far the best I have had in a long time travelling. We used the al la carte twice and the service here was excellent. Julian (maybe spelt wrong?) was the perfect waiter. The price of the wine for the quality was also fantastic – absolutely no feeling of being ripped off like most hotels tend to do. The food on the first visit was wonderful, the second not so. Not bad but not as good. We also used the café for lunch and usually had a really tasty salad from the bar. Corine served us most days and was delightful – always smiling and although busy always took a moment to say hi. This was the only place we had a small issue, with a meal. We offered feedback at reception and Adele dealt with it perfectly. The hotel manager even met with us later to apologise. Again perfect service. The bar was visited many times (of course) the choice and quality of drinks available was wide and impressive. The staff here were equally great. Dumertrina (I hope I spelt that right too) and the rest of the bar staff looked after us very well and kept us topped up. The only issue was that due to the guest average being quite high, the bar was empty by 10pm. The entertainment at nights was a hit and miss – always singers; some good, some not so. It was more background than anything else. We used the spa and the gym – both are of high quality. We walked into town most days to stretch our legs. Worth the walk either along the beach path of along the main road. Paphos has plenty of bars, restaurants and shops to pick up those little gifts and maybe something most extravagant.

Room Tip: Standard rooms are fine but a touch small but go all inclusive (premium package) - worth every penny

Our second visit to this Hotel. We agree with all the positive reviews so will note what we considered only the excellent and the minor niggles. The evening, all female, bar team were simply excellent. The overall service cleanliness and feeling of space is also excellent. Minor disapointments were the evening buffet which we tried but preferred to eat out.It was ok but not tempting enough for us. The beds are uncomfortable and would really benefit from being changed. it was into our second week before we got used to them.As the outdoor pool was cold we used the indoor however that was also a few degrees colder than comfortable.I was horrified to find out that the Cyprus Brandy I have been drinking for years without "optic control" was now bering served in strict measures!. I always try and suppoert the local brands but this was discouraging.
As I say these are minor niggles preventing a score of 5. We love this hotel and will return again. My wife has walking difficulties and the Hotel is disabled friendly.

Room Tip: Mountain view rooms are perfectly OK . The distance to the road is far enough to avoid any noise iss...

This Hotel is perfect for the more mature couples who want to find a place to relax.
There is never a shortage of sun beds
The staff all pay attention to detail and are all most welcoming. I would like to name them all.
The buffet selections for breakfast or dinner cannot be faulted.
When ever we return we always meet guest who are retuning over the years.

Room Tip: A choice of mountain or sea views, all are comfortable

This is the second time we have been here. It is a couples hotel. Very quiet but sister hotel next for is very lively. Only 30 minutes walk into Paphos where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Also more bars and restaurants only Five minutes walk away. Hotel staff extremely friendly. Mainly british guests which is a nice change. Food excellent. Hotel right by the sea. Can't find fault. Clean, rooms spacious, a really lovely relaxing hotel.

Room Tip: Sea front rooms are always nice but a bit expensive. Mountain view rooms are really lovely. Sunrise...
