“June - July trip again to Athena Royal Beach Paphos”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

Have been to this hotel 4 times now and a great couples only hotel it is, a really nice peaceful hotel with great gardens and 3 pools and no children as its an adult only hotel.
Agatha who checked us in was brilliant and very welcoming to us upon arrival on the 25th June 2014, she really couldn't do enough for us, she is really customer focused like I was when I worked in sales before I retired, sadly we do not get this sort of person too often these days.
Nice one Agatha.....
The one thing I and my partner would like to see is the breakfast hours increased from 7am - 10am to & 7am to 11am as when you are on holiday all sorts or people have different views on breakfast timings especially when chilling out on a well earned two week break !
Another point I would like to suggest is that a towel rail be fitted on the balconies on all rooms as at this point in time this is not the case and you have to use the rail on the balcony to hang up your wet swim suits and costumes to dry !
One last point my partner made to me is that you should be free to sit at any breakfast table even if it has been used earlier as she was unhappy at one of the welcoming staff as you entrance the restaurant told my partner that a used table could not be re-laid !!
If the above issues can be rectified then we have a great perfect chill hotel with great food and ambience to chill and relax for two weeks or even more !!
I shall return to this hotel in October this year as for me it's location for me is perfect for eating out and a stroll to Paphos Harbour to soak up the atmosphere for that all important cool beer or a nice glass of Cyprus wine.

Room Tip: I have just returned from a two week holiday on the 9th July and I had a nice sea view room overlook...

This hotel is for anyone who wants a quiet relaxing holiday in a lovely setting with great service. The staff make this hotel, most of them are Romanian and have a great work ethos, always a smile, nothing is to much trouble. The food is a little repetitive especially if you have a two week stay, the balconies in the rooms are to small to use even if you upgrade. My only real negative is the price of drinks, no wonder happy hour 6-7 is so well attended. I fully understand why they get so much repeat custom, it's because it provides a comfortable safe setting for the older visitor, one of the guests described it to me as " gods waiting room " it's not quite that bad.

Yet again the Hotel and staff have made for a wonderful holiday. The management have to be congratulated for maintaining such high standards across all departments. A special mention to all the hard working people at the Hotel who are always friendly yet very professional including Corina and Elena at the Olive Tree, Dimintrou, Luminata and Cora at the Dyonnasis Bar (Death by Chocolate is a must!).

See you next year!

FANTASTIC!!! just come back 1-7-14, from getting off the coach we knew it was going to be special, from the Porters, reception, bar and the lovely cleaners all the staff made you feel very welcome, the rooms were lovely, bright and very clean, there was tea and coffee making facilities, iron, ironing board, fridge, hairdryer, slippers robes, fresh fruit, flat screen tv and beach towels, the food was excellent, the pools and sunbathing areas was lovely, 15min walk to the harbor or a bus ride was only 1.5 euro we got a day rover for 5 euros each which meant we jump on and off buses all day which came in handy for the local market, there are taxis but we got charged different twice to the same place, down on the harbor was great lovely bars and restaurants, will defiantly go back to Paphos and the Athena royal beach :)

Room Tip: pay a little more for a beach view room

We have been to the Pioneer Beach a number of times, but our latest visit was to Athena Royal Beach.
As you would expect from this group the standard was excellent, they are continually upgrading their hotels.
We had Flat Screen TV and Coffee making facilities as well as the usual extras.
They even check your date of birth so if you have a birthday do not be surprised if they find out.
Excellent food service and location, I would recommend any of their Hotels

Room Tip: You would probably choose a sea view, but the front of the Hotel offers an in land view towards the...

Just back from a weeks holiday and I have to say we had a fantastic week.
We stayed here on a recommendation from friends and we were not disappointed.
From checking in to checking out the staff were very good indeed.
I won't bore you with food and facilities of the hotel as they were excellent.
I would say get a sea view room if you can, the room was clean and well equipped, they give you 4 beach towels which I thought was really good.
So if you want to paphos try this hotel.
One last thing I would like to give Adele on the front desk a special mention as nothing is too much trouble and always had a smile on her face.
If the hotel gets more like her it won't go wrong.
Once again thank you for a fantastic weeks stay.
