What a fantastic days outing. Lots and lots of birds and animals. You must take in the owl show. Wear good comforting shoes. And take a bottle of water.

I love zoos in general so I may be a bit biased but we had a great time here. There are a lot of animals to see and several interactive activities. The first one we did was to feed the parrots. You buy a tub of liquid bird feed and actually get to go in the enclosure with the birds. It was a great experience to be in among these creatures. Look out for one of the red ones though, he sat on my fiancé's arm and bullied any other bird that came near "his" dinner. We also paid to feed the giraffes! This was great! Being next to something so huge was a wonderful experience. When we went, the female was 2 months pregnant so you have to distract her to feed the male. She was by no means aggressive but was definitely wearing the pants in the relationship! And finally, the zoo puts on a parrot and owl show several times per day. This seems to be a common theme among the zoos I have visited but if you are going here soon there is an added bonus. The zoos tigers had a cub but did not form a bond with their baby, as is common with tigers. Therefore, one of the zoo keepers has been hand rearing the cub. As such they are currently letting people feed the tiger her bottle and have their pictures taken with her. It's a bit pricey at 20 euros but totally worth it! She was 5 months old when we visited though so I don't imagine they'll be able to do it for much longer.

Visited the Zoo in April. Very clean and flat walking. Good assortment of animals. We got to feed the giraffes which was an amazing experience.

Went on a organised trip and had around 4 hours there, could have seen the whole zoo in 1 1/2.
Good for children for a couple of hours but quite expensive for what it is, Mainly just birds and the few wild animals that were there are kept in small, boring cadges and didn't look very healthy.
Wouldn't return, but it was an experience non-the-less.
