We travelled to Villa Asteria for ten days on the 10th July as a group of eight, being two families with four children aged between three and seven.
We arrived late in the evening to find an imposing villa, all lit up on the top of the hillside. Mood lighting and music we're playing both internally and externally which created a fantastic ambiance.
A thoughtful welcome pack had been left which included, snacks, bread, wine etc., which was a welcome treat after traveling most of the day.
We instantly felt at home and the next morning realised what a fantastic position this villa has with breath taking views towards Pollis and Latchi.
The villa is extremely family friendly, being all on one level and the grounds being gated. The pool has great steps for children and has a gradual slope from the shallow to the deep end. Its lining is soft and makes a welcome change from the often encountered rough tiling in similar properties.
The property is well equipped with endless thoughtful touches which really do make it feel a home from home.
The numerous external sitting areas mean that you can escape from each other if need be, whether you wish to sit in the sun or shade. We cooked most of our evening meals on the large BBQ and retired to the external bar area once the kids were tucked up in bed. The bar is great and has music, fridge and comfy stools.
The real key aspect of this villa over the competition is its location. It is extremely private, having no neighbours, but without feeling secluded. We felt that we could make noise without disturbing others. The children had a number of pool parties after dark with music playing around the blue neon lit pool, following some stunning and unrivalled sunsets in over the hills in the direction of Latchi.
The booking process was easy and Graham, the villa owner, always replied within a reasonable time frame. He also let us check out late on the last day as the next occupiers weren't due imminently.
