This refurbished village cottage was a delight and we had a very relaxing stay. It is away from the main holiday area but close enough to reach easily by car. Locally, there are good shopping and eating establishments. We were made welcome by a member of the owners family although they did not live in the area but made sure that they could be contacted and there was a neighbour who would help if we experienced any problems.
The cottage has been renovated to a high standard with an addition of a stylish extension providing a large kitchen and main bedroom. The traditional feel has been retained in the remainder which adds to the charm. Unfortunately, despite the description saying one of the shower rooms was en-suite to the main bedroom this was not the case and both shower rooms are on the ground floor. This would obviously give some difficulty/hazard to some guests.
Staying in a authentic stone cottage was a real delight and the enclosed courtyard is a lovely place to relax providing a mixture of natural shade and sun.
We will be thinking of returning next year.
