“Almost perfect villa”
Reviewed 12 June 2014 via mobile

The Aura Holiday Villas are very nice. They are tidy, modern and have almost all the comfort you need. A big and well equiped kitchen and one bathroom to each bedroom. However we found the beds a bit to hard. We loved the private pool and the barbecue place. The "resort" consists of eight villas in a nice and tidy area. We stayed at villa #7. If you have the possibility to choose a villa I would choose villa #1, 2 or 4 since I think they have the best sea view. All villas have sea view, at least from the balcony. However they are not as close to the nearest beach as described. I would say it is about 300-400 meters, not 50 meters as described at Booking.com. But 300-400 m is not far. It is only a few minutes easy walk. You should also not mistake it to be close to Coral Bay, since it is not. It is about 4 km to Coral Bay (a very nice beach). Far to walk but only 5 minutes drive if you have a car. To Paphos town it is about 8 km (ca 15 min drive). There are busstops close to the villas so it is also easy to take the bus to Paphos or Coral Bay. We give this place 4/5 points. The only things that didn't make it perfect were the beds and that the surroundings outside the villa area were a bit boring. Not many restaurants and streetlife. But the advantage of that is that it is a very calm area. However you can hear some traffic or some music from a hotel nearby. To sum up we were very satisfied with our vacation at Aura Holiday Villas.

Wonderful, private and very well equipped. Villa is ideal for families or small groups. We had a three-bedroom villa, each with its own toilet and shower. On the ground floor there was one guest toilet. Very near is a small natural beach where you can have sun and swim. Awesome to snorkel. Easy to go anywhere by buss. If you want to have some exercise you can walk to Tala or even to Ayios Neophytos Monastery as we did. There are little shops and restaurants in Tala centrum.

Me and some friends stayed at these villas during our dive holiday and had an amazing time. The villas are located 5 minutes from Coral Bay on the bus and 10 minutes from Paphos. The buses run every 10-15 minutes and the stop is just behind the villas. The rooms were great and beds were very comfotable. The staff are super friendly and always happy to help. Our stay at Aura holiday villas was very reasonably priced and i can't wait to stay again this year.

A lovely place to stay and relax.
My husband and I are familiar with the surrounding area as
we've stayed at a hotel close by previously.
This year we came with our son and girlfriend.
The villa was a home from home a great base.

George and Nadia were on hand if needed.
On departure day we vacated our villa at 11 am and our flight was late in the day so they let us use the reception for a shower and refreshments etc.

The cats we're lovely , we found them quite entertaining and not a nuisance at all (as mentioned in previous reviews).

George is a lovely genuine guy very relaxed .
Bus service is good.
Food shopping. We went to lidls and got a taxi back, big mistake really.Philipos in coral bay is much better and they will deliver your shopping if requested.
Eating out is good, reasonable prices most places and welcoming staff.
Tea for two very british but great for icecreams.

Thank you Aura villas we will be back soon.

We stayed at the AUra Villas for 10 nights arriving late on Sunday 30th June. We travelled with Jet2 and this included transfer to the villa. George the owner had waited up for us and showed us to our Villa (Xanthe). The villa was clean, well equipped, had a good alarm system and a safe is provided in the main bedroom. A hairdryer can be provided on request, I had requested this in advance and it was there ready for me. We had not stayed in a villa before, this proved to be a really good way of holidaying for us. There is no rush to vacate your room in a morning, like you often find in a hotel, the pool is yours exclusively and you have all the privacy you want. Outside maintenance like gardening and pool cleaning all takes place either early morning or evening so it's as unobtrusive as possible. There is even an ice cream van that comes around each day! There is a supermarket/bar called the Crazy Spoon which is a 5 minute walk away. They also run a booking agency and you can hire a car, book excursions etc. The bus stop to Paphos is right outside and the stop for Coral Bay is opposite. 2013 bus prices are 1.50 euro per single trip or 5 euro for a 1 day unlimited travel ticket. Buses run every 10 - 15 minutes through the day and slighly less frequently on an evening. We made use of the barbecue on a couple of evenings and the neighbourhood cats joined us to help with any leftovers! There are a couple of supermarkets in walking distance, the Crazy Spoon as previously mentioned and a small store at the neighbouring Theo Sunset, however there is a large supermarket in Coral Bay called Philippos. We took the bus there, did a big shop and then asked for delivery. Delivery is free and they take you back with your groceries! The supermarket has a butchery, bakery, fish counter and lovely fresh fruit. I have added separate reviews for some of the things we did whilst we were there - Georges Fun Bus, Wavedancer, Paphos Zoo. We did a full day trup to Kyrenea, which we booked via the Crazy Spoon with a company called S&A coaches - the trip was combined with another excursion to Nicosea. It was almost a 12 hour day. Most of this time was spent travelling. We really enjoyed it and for us we were glad we did it, however thought is was worth mentioning. Also if you d this trip you should take a lot of low value euro denominations as they do accept euros there, however if you give a high value note you may receive change in Turkish Lire.

Room Tip: All villas have a sea view and a pool therefore it doesn't matter which one you stay in as they...

We stayed at Aura Villa for ten nights in June 2013. Our flight was due in just after midnight and we had not visited Cyprus before so we were a little concerned about check in and getting to the villa. George, one of the owners, emailed with very good directions and details about key collection.

We were thrilled with the accommodation. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and very clean. Both bedrooms have an en suite bathroom. The pool was bigger than we had expected and was checked every day. There was also a welcome basket with bread, butter, milk, cereals an beverages.

Nadia, the housekeeper, was on site each day and was always very helpful and information pack was left in the villa which we found useful.

We will definitely return Cyprus and we will be staying at Aura Villas.

Our villa was broken into during the night while we slept. Our cash was stolen. During the same night also the neighbour villa was broken into. The easy access made it easy for someone to enter the villas. As a compensation we were offered from the owner to stay another night for free which we did not accept because of the feeling which we got as a family with two young kids knowing the risk that someone could break again into the house during the night. Despite of our financial loss the owner insisted to charge us the full amount for the stay.
