Lovely time

For the money you pay the hotels great. The rooms are good and the staff are friendly and helpful. We didn't really like our first room they put us in so we asked the staff if we could swap and they had no problems with that and swapped us straight away and our second room was perfect. It is in a good location right near a little town and not very far from the sea. The hotel was very quiet, which I didn't really like.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 3rd floor are nicer than the rest!!

Reasonable price, comfortable room, huge toilet, can see a bit of the sea from balcony. Nice guy from reception, awesome garden with pool and tennis court. 20 mins walk to the beach and 10 mins walk to old town. Incredible choice for travelers !

The Marion is excellent value for money. Rooms are huge. Rooms & bathrooms are spotlessly cleaned every day. Each sea-facing room has a balcony which overlooks the large green grounds with palm trees & garden, ocean, and huge swimming pool with a bar area. The open gardens/grounds area also means the sea-facing rooms are very quiet despite the central location.

A large hypermarket is close by if you want to avoid dining out every night and just pick up a few things to have a meal al fresco on your balcony, as I did. You only pay for what you want to use, so you don't have to pay for breakfast, a/c etc if not using it. The staff is friendly and the hotel is located a short walk from the Polis central bus drop-off point so no need for a taxi- another ten euros saved! Fast wifi in rooms at no charge. All in all an outstanding value for cost conscious travelers (me!)

Room tip: Get a sea facing room. They all have balconies that overlook the ocean and the mountains of the Akamas National Park to the west.

Polis Chrysohous, and Marion Hotel also, is located on the sea, near to Pafos forest and Troodos region, Tylliria area and a lot of religious and other spaces! In one phrase, you have a thousand reasons to visit it!

We were there in Dec the hotel was closed we were only residents in hotel owner said he wasn't disappointing us due to me booking months in advance anyway if you decide to stay here be warned if you get a roadside room which is noisy due to main road the boy racers and bikers seem to think its a racing track and apparently this side of hotel has no c/heating we were put in op side on
arrival pool side it was like Siberia we asked owner to change after a debate with staff we were moved to the roadside of hotel where sun comes in all day I can't advise on pool because buy the look of what we saw it hadn't been used for a while the rooms are very basic with a TV no tea making facilities and polis as a place is DEFINATELY not for families or beach/ sun worshippers this is a very Cypriot town hope this helps

Room tip: No tips If you decide to stay the warm side is the roadside of hotel but noisy

We responded to the comments of the gentleman and his friends, WHICH had booking with booking.com and expedia.com booking.com
We will not deal more with him because everything written in his various comments on the internet does not correspond to reality.
Proof of our hotel is the security cameras.
It was a group that had 8-9 people.
In the evening and in the morning they started the big motorbikes and created a problem for the customers of our hotel.
They forgot to mention the various comments they made.

“It's really unfortunate that you were disappointed by
the hotel and our rooms facilities at our property. Sorry that you weren't satisfied. We're a small, family-run Bed & Breakfast and can't always match the standards of a hotel.
Everything is in our hotel policy. If our hotel has available refrigerators in the rooms or whether the price of air conditioning is included in the price of the room.

We sincerely hope you found accommodations which met your expectations on the rest of your trip.”

It was much better than expected, but you get what you pay for!

I’ve definitely stayed in worse hotels. I was a little bit worried because I booked my package with Ebookers.com just before the last two reviews were posted on here, so I was not looking forward to my stay.
I was given a family room with a balcony and sea view so I was very happy. The other positives included very hot baths in the evenings; a flat screen television with plenty of programmes and films in English; free wifi in the room and communal areas; a swimming pool; 15 minute walk to the nearest beach via orange and olive groves, 30 minute walk to the lovely beach and port at Latchi; 5 minute walk to the bus stop with frequent services to Paphos; the plug sockets were the same as in the UK and there was a big supermarket opposite the hotel with lots of bars, restaurants and a couple of attractions (two churches, a museum and a 600 year old olive tree) in the town.
The negatives were that there only seemed to be a couple of other people staying in the hotel so that made the place seem a bit eerie and it lacked any ambience. The walls were also very thin so I was woken up in the middle of the night on numerous occasions by people shouting in the rooms next door; the room had not been vacuumed; it was not very clean; there were other people’s hairs on the bed sheets and in the bathroom; there were cockroaches in the bathroom and there was a tar like obnoxious smell coming from the bathroom. The room was also cold even when it was balmy outside and the heating didn’t go over 15 degrees.
I like to keep to myself but when I did speak to the staff on arrival and departure they were very pleasant.
My stay turned out to be around £7 per night due to having a discount code and booking with flights via Ebookers.com so I was extremely happy with what I got for my money!

Room tip: High up with a sea view
